Who checks the fruit of His vine?

Beloved Servant

Is the vine more valuable than the root?

Lefein

You know the root by the fruit.  Moreso, you know its value.

Beloved Servant

You seem to be answering your own questions instead of mine.

:sigh: Thread locked once again, for a season of meditation before the Lord......will all of you please put your swords away?

(Note to self, also)......What does it matter if "A" believes one thing and "B" another? God will deal with each to bring them to wherever He wants them, WHENEVER He wants to them to be "there". Did any of you ever believe one thing only to find out it wasn't true, in God's timing? I know I did. Were you any less in His eyes when you believed the error? Was He really "ticked off" at you FOR believing the error?

Share "as you see it now" and let it go. One waters, another plants, but GOD will give the increase. Even if it's truth, if it's not someone's season to hear that particular part, they won't hear anything but thunder, and no amount of clamoring or clanging symbols is going to change that.

perfect post card.  re-open as soon as you deem appropriate.

mods, with prayerful discretion, the next step is to initiate ban(s) if strife is stirred on the boards, according to recent warning post in this thread.

(internet problems today, currently at Panera using their wi-fi.  hopefully fixed tonight).

EVERYONE, PLZ POST AS CARD HAS DIRECTED, OR REFRAIN FROM POSTING UNTIL YOU CAN DO SO.  Others who can follow the guidelines will not be stopped from exploring just because a few want to argue.  James.

:cloud9: Ok, thread is reopened. We have agreed that if this continues, there is a strong possibility that it will remain closed, or more stringent methods of dealing with it such as temporary/permanent bans may ensue.

Please try to keep in mind about the guests who also read here and never post, and most assuredly never will if all they see is name-calling and insults being hurled. Do we really want to be responsible for anyone being turned away? Thank you for your consideration.....PEACE. Card

The Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit or it is a book of whatevers, assumptiions of what "a'" god may have put in print. Man has a mind, and that mind we know has many differnet answers and interpetions and all of those "ideas" are pretty far off the base of the ONE WHO CREATED IT ALL. As for me I will take the Word of the Father and work from there, not from what "I think."

There is an understanding among some that God has a Huge Plan, that in some ways is beyond our limited scope of understanding.  Thomas Kissinger writes about it in "The Noble Berean".  It's available online.  It includes God lowering mankind into this condition for a season, teaching us, while in the process, bringing us back to Himself - and all the better for it.

American Standard Version
I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil. I am Jehovah, that doeth all these things.

Bible in Basic English
I am the giver of light and the maker of the dark; causing blessing, and sending troubles; I am the Lord, who does all these things.

Douay-Rheims Bible
I form the light, and create darkness, I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord that do all these things.

Darby Bible Translation
forming the light and creating darkness, making peace and creating evil: I, Jehovah, do all these things.

English Revised Version
I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil; I am the LORD, that doeth all these things.

Webster's Bible Translation
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

World English Bible
I form the light, and create darkness. I make peace, and create calamity. I am Yahweh, who does all these things.

Young's Literal Translation
Forming light, and preparing darkness, Making peace, and preparing evil, I am Jehovah, doing all these things.'

...and all the better for it. amen.

Lefein

Lets not forget the translation based on the other possible definitions that says also; Cutting down darkness, and cutting down evil.

Forming light, and cutting down darkness, making peace, and cutting down evil, I Yahweh, am doing all these things.

I'd be inclined to want it opened too, but only if I didn't see so much of what I dislike - not doctrines, but more about fruit and my own rage being tempted over the lack of it.

There might yet be more good fruit from the some that will appear, but we'll see,  hmmn...

Father, let there be good fruit then, in Jesus' name - Amen.

Darkness and Light

Exodus 14:19-21 (Amplified Bible)
19 And the Angel of God Who went before the host of Israel moved and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before them and stood behind them,
20 Coming between the host of Egypt and the host of Israel. It was a cloud and darkness to the Egyptians, but it gave light by night to the Israelites; and the one host did not come near the other all night.
21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night and made the sea dry land; and the waters were divided.

Exodus 20:20-22 (Amplified Bible)
20And Moses said to the people, Fear not; for God has come to prove you, so that the reverential fear of Him may be before you, that you may not sin.
21 And the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.
22 And the Lord said to Moses, Thus shall you say to the Israelites, You have seen for yourselves that I have talked with you from heaven.

Deuteronomy 5:22-24 (Amplified Bible)
22 These words the Lord spoke to all your assembly at the mountain out of the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; and He spoke not again [added no more]. He wrote them on two tables of stone and gave them to me [Moses].
23 And when you heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, you came near me, all the heads of your tribes and your elders;
24 And you said, Behold, the Lord our God has shown us His glory and His greatness, and we have heard His voice out of the midst of the fire; we have this day seen that God speaks with man and man still lives.

THE UNVEILING OF JESUS CHRIST (CLV)
4 And they shall be seeing His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.
5 And night shall be no more, and they have no need of lamplight and sunlight, for the Lord God shall be illuminating them.
And they shall be reigning for the eons of the eons.
6 And he said to me, "These sayings are faithful and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, commissions His messenger to show to His slaves what must occur swiftly.

Why should it be kept open?
The Word of God reads what it says, the realization that  one does not believie or accept  that God is All in All and that He, God, the Creator, made EVERYTHING for His purpose  and that ALL will work out to His good, is insiignificant in argument, for it is all argument. Mans opinion and assertions and assumptions become null and void in the presense of I AM.
God, Jehovah will work out all for His good or He is not the I AM.

I like the thread, it has meant different things to different people.  I know it has verified that I will not believe certain ways and it may have done that for others.  The journey for spiritual truth was not always fun for me, now I have a blast.

Why have a forum at all then?

I think Gary's wondered that more than once.   :laugh2:

I told him about 3 months ago there were still people coming through considering UR over ET [and getting helpful information]...that's his main purpose.  If that positive influence should ever cease, the discussion forum's shelf life would likely expire.

Well I enjoy myself here, plenty of passionate people concerning what they believe, I wouldn't have it any other way.   If this place ever goes I will miss it.
