A beautiful prophecy of the restoration of all things from Isaiah

Isaiah 11

1Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse,
And a branch from his roots will bear fruit.

2The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him,
The spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The spirit of counsel and strength,
The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.

3And He will delight in the fear of the LORD,
And He will not judge by what His eyes see,
            Nor make a decision by what His ears hear;

4But with righteousness He will judge the poor,
            And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth;
And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,
And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.

5Also righteousness will be the belt about His loins,
And faithfulness the belt about His waist.

6And the wolf will dwell with the lamb,
And the leopard will lie down with the young goat,
            And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
And a little boy will lead them.

7Also the cow and the bear will graze,
Their young will lie down together,
And the lion will eat straw like the ox.

8The nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra,
And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper's den.

9They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain,
For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD
As the waters cover the sea.

      10Then in that day
The nations will resort to the root of Jesse,
            Who will stand as a signal for the peoples;
And His resting place will be glorious.

Bondage is but a limit of the mind that keeps the heart in bondage; a prisoner to those limits

Free the heart from bondage; from the bondage of the mind and the impossible becomes possible, for only then can the renewing of the mind take place

which is His workmanship "in" us

As I was reading some things on the board the other day, I was led to dig into the phrase "commit adultery" (G3431), I found it was taken from G3432 which means a (male) paramour

when I looked up the definition of a paramour, I found it's meaning to be "an illicit lover" and as I dug even farther, I found the word "illicit" to mean not legally permitted or authorized

in which I saw "an illicit lover" as "an unauthorized lover"

When Paul speaks of the letter of the law (in that it kills) the understanding of "an authorized lover" has no place in the letter of the law, and what I mean by that is:

If we are of the letter of the law we are an "unauthorized" lover, meaning that we have no authority to love a person if we are to carry out the law to the letter ..... we have to separate ourselves from that person in any type of relationship if the law is to be carried out to it's fullest extent (the letter), there is no room (no place) at all for mercy in the letter of the law

So, in conclusion, what I saw were the two extremes:

in the letter of the law you cannot love anyone including yourself, in which I believe means: we cannot show any favoritism to anyone including ourselves in the letter of the law
BUT THEN we have the other extreme
to love everyone the same, forgive everyone, again, showing no favoritism (no partiality)

Jesus said, "But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins" (Matthew 9:6, Mark 2:10, Luke 5:24)

We have been given the authorization to love (to forgive), we are "an authorized lover", we have been freed and no longer have to adhere to the letter of the law, and coming to the conclusion that we are no longer to be a mixture of both; forgiving to some but unforgiving to others

what I believe is meant by "an adulterous generation" is: showing partiality and that to commit adultery in a spiritual sense is; to show partiality, loving some but not loving all

and in conclusion to all this:
man's "spirit of the law" is condemnation "for" sin (which is a judgment "against" man)
WHEREAS
God's "Spirit of the law" is forgiveness "of" sin (which is a judgment "for" man) .....

which is: THE LAW OF LOVE

So, do not commit adultery against God's "Spirit of Love" with man's "spirit of law"

I remember Rose said one time, when we speak to someone, give them a k.i.s.s. (keep it simple silly)

What is more simpler than this:

If a man "gives his word" to another is it not his promise to do something, is it not the same with God?

..... expect when God "gave His Word" it came in the form of a man

A corrupted flesh will not and cannot keep a promise, but to have the incorruptible Spirit it can make the flesh incorruptible by letting your "yes be yes and your no be no"

and when God gave His "ONLY" begotten Son, His only begotten Promise ..... it was to save the world from sin, His Promise for all men to come to the knowledge of the truth ...... the knowledge of "THIS" truth

If someone commits a sin against me, I do not require that they ask me for forgiveness, I can forgive them whether they ask me or not.

I also do not require that they believe that I forgave them because they have been forgiven by me whether they believe it or not.

If they choose to believe that I have forgiven them, then they are saved from their own unbelief that I did not forgive them.

Their unbelief does not nullify the fact that I have forgiven them.

If they choose to "not" believe that I have forgiven them, then they remain in the darkness of their own unbelief; they veil themselves from the Christ in me

His Heart of Forgiveness shines on all, believe in the Light of Forgiveness and be saved from the darkness of unbelief

Unbelief is the currency of the flesh ... whereas Belief is the currency of the Spirit, for we have been given His Spirit as a token of which God Himself will increase; will multiply into the riches of His Kingdom which is our inheritance.

Thank you for sharing these inspired thoughts. If only...

In our Communion Service we say:

"Where Divine Love is, forgiveness and unforgiveness cease to exist; and for this we offer our heartfelt gratitude"
"A few drops of blood renew the whole world, and become for all men that which rennet is for milk, uniting and drawing us into one". "Christ is like leaven for the entire mass, and having made that which was damned one with himself, frees the whole from damnation".

As per request by Patinak .....

For me, the Lake of Fire is our "baptism by fire" it is our baptism into the Holy Spirit
and ALL will be cast into this "baptism by fire"
for it is only by being cast into this "Lake of Fire" (this Baptism) that we are shown that His love for us IS HIS burning passion for us to know how much He loves us

and if we do not believe this, then we can torture ourselves with our own unbelief that we are not loved
and hell can and will become a place of eternal torment; a place of on-going unbelief
and it is "this hell" that He is saving us from

All good things come from above and I fully believe that this comes from above  :2c:

Thank you Pat, I don't know if you know the joy you have entitled me to by asking me to do this

  :Chinscratch: I never noticed just how very close the two are.. "lake" and baptism.. and baptism of fire when John the Baptist said He will baptize with fire and the Holy Spirit. I think 2 accounts say Holy Spirit, and 2 say with the Holy Spirit and fire (or vice versa). And He will gather the wheat and burn (away) the chaff.. away because, fire not quenched implies that..?

My thoughts of "the end of days"

To live "IN" the "end of days" is to live outside of time .... with days being plural and we move into the singularity of "a single day" (a single existence) .... that existence being a "spiritual existence" in where the physical exists for the purpose of understanding the spiritual.

I see (understand) things as this: this physical existence is like the ground a seed is planted in and then grows ...... understood as: our spirit is placed (planted) in this existence (ground) for the purpose of growing (growing in understanding) and that the death of our physical body is just like the growing plant breaking the surface of the ground into the sunlight, it is an unbroken existence; the unbroken existence of "GROWING" and God is the One who causes the growth; our growth in understanding; our growth in understanding what He is doing and why.

Darkness is our beginning; in other words; ignorance (our lack of understanding) is our beginning and that is what we are growing out of...  taking in all the nutrients of the ground (this existence) in order to grow above ground (out of the grave) into the atmosphere to soak in the light.

The grave is a state of mind of which God created in order for us to understand what He is delivering us out of. In which "Sheol" is a "place" of darkness (ignorance) in which our spirit was placed in order to understand "death" ..... "death" being that which the mind conceived but God made manifest in the physical "FOR" the purpose of understanding "that" is what we are being saved (delivered) from.

For me, death has become so little that I can barely see it .... a blemish on our existence as "a whole"

For the mind of Christ sees it only as a blemish rather than blowing it all out of proportion as "filthy rags", we have gone beyond the letter of the word and hear what proceeds from the mouth of God; the Spirit of the Word in Love.

I like this so much not least because it is a continuous stream of life where nothing is broken, even when the seed breaks open, life emerges; even when the ground is broken, life emerges to bask in the growth-giving rays of the glorious sun; calmly and harmoniously continuing in unbroken and unending life in the Spirit.

It's funny - to me anyway - how believers can be so different, and can believe so differently.. But because of His grace there is no division.. and freedom to share without being thought an offense..

Over the years, as people I know and love, respect, etc, have died.. I have come to think of death - someone's not being there/here - as a horrible thing.. a tragedy.

I think this tragedy, seen in its true horrific light, is THE teaching tool of God. :gsmile:

As I see it, missing a loved one is a terrible thing, the cold, stark reality of seeming separation. But showing them that life is continuous is God's gift to man (for some anyway, a glimpse through the veil can be seen) – it is only the dark barrier created by man's wickedness which prevents the mother from seeing her child across the thick smoky veil - it was never God's intention, if only man had listened to Him in the beginning. But I believe that it is only a matter of time and the veil shall be thinned, but that is a way off in earthly years.

Apologies to jugghead

In Hebrews 11/12, it speaks of those who have gone before us are a cloud of witnesses. And, it says multiple verses that when He returns it will be in the clouds. I was shown recently that the focus isn't Jesus coming in literal clouds(though that may be the case too) that He will come with the cloud of witnesses.

So, when it says that we are caught up with Him and changed, where did those cloud of witnesses come from if they aren't alive and returning with Him?  :dunno2:
John 1
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
