There must have been a Fundie in the woodpile...or as I stated somewhere on the www recently, "ECT translator ==> ECT Bible."  It's much like the "Garbage In - Garbage Out" idea from the computer world.  That reminds me of the KJV II Bible which was alleged to have been generated by a supercomputer.  The supercomputer was not specified, but it spat out "hell" over and over, simply based on what it was fed.

I did some rewriting of "Heaven, Yes - Hell, No" yesterday, renaming chapters (I like catchy chapter titles) and fleshing out some of the source citations.  I found something very odd, tracking down some publication dates - Dante's Inferno appears about 1317.  Add 350 years to that and you get the publication date for Paradise Lost.  Another 350 years takes us to 2017 - when I began to send out (publish) my book.  Spooky.

:o ..that is pretty weird! :gsmile:

Belated news...or is that "gnus"?

December 13th, the fuel pump on our car gave out, and the cost to repair it was $2600.    Instead, the car got shoved (literally) in the garage, and we found a VERY nice Volvo on January 2nd - and for less than half the cost of repair to the other car.  A fairly long time to be car-less, and in winter too.  The Volvo, named "Sven," started off as if old and tired, but with some repair, maintenance and simple driving, it slowly came to life.  :laughing7: We like it.  :laughing7: That set me back as far as getting the book out to people. :footmouth:

Prior to THAT, last August or September, my iMac bit the dust, and I went with a second-hand PC which my Mac guru loaded with Ubuntu.  Cost:  $45.  Everything went well until my trusty Dell laser printer blew its fuser, or so I was told.  We have four printers in the house, and the only one showing ANY interest in printing is an Epson inkjet, and I got that to print only in yellow, lacking a black ink cartridge for now.  :sigh: That may do for some jobs, but inkjet printing is just too expen$ive for a 200+ page book.  :sigh: Therefore, I can't supply print versions of my book as I had promised - sorry!  :sigh: I will be trying to see if my Ubuntu machine can burn the pdf version of the book to CD-R.  Stay tuned! :declare:

Oh, one other thing:  I discovered the other day, in another forum, that the title I chose for my book was already taken, by a book published in 2009.  :dunno2: Well, rats!  :dunno2: I'm going to need to come up with a new title, and am open to suggestions.  :Chinscratch: I'm considering:  "The Hell You Say...?".
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

Has "Hell No!" been taken?

I don't know, but it might infringe a bit on "Heaven, Yes - Hell, No!"

Update, again:

Before I get ahead of myself, thanks to everyone who had a title suggestion!  :friendstu: I'm leaning toward one of MusicLover123's - Digging Deeper - which I might subtitle as:  Beating "Hell" out of the KJV.  :punish: I'll mull it all over and decide.  :Chinscratch:

Another Dell bites the dust - my trusty Dell keyboard, which I used for years, is now retired.  It was getting "wonky," and I found a very nice Lenovo keyboard at a church rummage sale for a dollar.    :dsunny:  Shortly before that, I bought a used Brother laser printer for not much more than an inkjet cartridge for the Epson would have cost.  It doesn't duplex, ah well...  :sigh:

So...I'm back in the "samizdat" publishing business again.  Open for requests again.   :declare:

Isaiah 52:5
"Now therefore, what do I have here," declares the LORD, "seeing that My people have been taken away without cause?" Again the LORD declares, "Those who rule over them howl, and My name is continually blasphemed all day long.

Ezekiel 20:27
"Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed Me by acting treacherously against Me.

Ezekiel 36:20
"When they came to the nations where they went, they profaned My holy name, because it was said of them, 'These are the people of the LORD; yet they have come out of His land.'

2 Peter 2:2
Many will follow in their depravity, and because of them the way of the truth will be defamed.   :sigh:

Thank you, Chester - it does.

I have had it more and more on my mind, this:  That God dwells in, and is, fire, flame, burning, brightness, lightning.  I have begun what I think will be a new chapter in my book, and I have titled the chapter, "Godfire."  It may be the overall book title as well.  We shall see...

Wow! I love it! I've been coming across this a lot lately and I am most curious to see if others have been, or are being taught, what i believe the Lord has showed me. Focusing much on 2 Peter 3:10-13, which seems like two events to me.. one at the Lord's return and one at 'the end' when the Lord hands all things to the Father, and "all" things are made new..

But I hadn't thought of that - how handing all what's called kosmos to the Father, actually IS that making new by fire. Thank-you!! "Our God is a consuming fire.." Purity consumes impurity.. why He told the Israelites "stay back from the mountain".. It's why we are all salted with fire..

And His kingdom is coming! And a fire comes before Him! ..And after Him? 2 Peter 3:10-13 being bookend events? Of the two coming ages, "the thousand years" and "the judgment"? I have thought of man's splitting of the atom, as releasing a lake of fire.. And now I'm thinking splitting the very atoms of life.. the building blocks? I'm not a physicist! But I know it's a chain reaction.. I definitely believe it's prophesied! As earthly judgment. How do you describe such a thing in 95 A.D. or so? And it seems very logical to me that this story - God's truth proving documentary? - this wrong path, would end in a spiral of SELF-destructive smoke.. So to speak. And that the smoke of that lesson should rise forever and ever in every psyche, clearing up once and for all, all questions about good and evil. :Chinscratch: :Peace2:

Marie, did you know that most matter in the physical universe is plasma, a very energetic form of matter?  Think FIRE.

Just wanted to throw in my two cents of a title, how about

"Digging Out of the Grave"

Since the grave/Sheol has evolved into the hell that is taught today, and now it is the reverse process, a resurrection from the imaginations of men that this world is buried in.

Wisdom is not measured by time, it is measured by understanding

Thanks, Jugghead, but that title sounds a bit too "Night of the Living Dead" to me.

Marie, did you know that most matter in the physical universe is plasma, a very energetic form of matter?  Think FIRE.

No I didn’t know that! Very interesting! ..I think since “in the beginning God”.. that first there was Him/only Him.. then I figure all things consist of Him, especially the life force, or spark/breath.

Then the atom as a building block, being split.. I figure simply must be in God’s Word, but seems to be overlooked.. But how would a mushroom cloud of fire be described in 95 A.D.? Also 2 Peter 3:10-13, as bookend events of the Lord’s  long 2nd advent? The one at Jesus’ return - 2 Thess.7-8 - as being “full and complete punishment” according, I believe, to the greek of verse 8. Making consequences, wages (punishment)  to be outcome(s) thus HIGHLY instructive. (The smoke of which learning shall rise up for ever and ever..?) To my mind, understanding just what it is God is doing, proves to the heart, UR/CU! ..that there’s only two paths.. Toward God, or away. One of which simply can never, ever work/succeed.. thus “all” learning and fully understanding good and evil /life and death (ending in nonlife/can only ever result in nonlife, if God never intervenes/redeems. Writing upon every heart and mind.. the utter futility and foolishness of going that wrong “way”.
...Like see the smoke of self destruction?! (nuclear winter, 1/3 less sun, red moon, & Joel’s smoky day.. “and out of the smoke and abyss of imperfection/“missing the mark”s potential/possibilities comes.. Rev.9). Otherwise, why the flood/pruning? If the end result of the wrong way/path/away from God, isn’t utter failure and self destruction?
