The lake of fire or Le lac de feu

Some Universalists claim that everyone is in the lake of fire now.

Some Universalists claim that God is the lake of fire since they read "Our God is a consuming fire."

Some Universalists claim that the lake of fire is still future but that it is a figure of speech in that those who go into the lake of fire actually go through the lake of fire and live while going through it.

Some Universalists claim that the lake of fire is the second death and that death is the absence of all life and therefore those in the lake of fire are not suffering at all but are in unconscious death.

What do you believe and why?

I believe in some in a possible combination of all.

Everybody will be salted with fire.
So everyone will be in the lake.
I can accept the view that some do so right now.

Everyone comes short to the glory of God
Not sure that means that those salted with fire in this life get some extra salting in the afterlife too.
But surely some live a very good life that's far away from any Biblical teaching that for them teh salting comes in the afterlife.

If, as some Universalists believe, Christians are in the lake of fire now, then does this not prove their names are not in the book of life and therefore not saved?

Here is how I see it, not saying I am correct but at this time this is how I see things.

The book of Revelation was written mainly to the Israelites, seven Churches, those who believed salvation of works.  I also think what John saw was what had been, what was happening, and what would happen.

(Rev. 20:12-13) And I saw the dead, {spiritually dead} small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: {laws} and another book was opened, which is the book of life: {Christ} and the dead {spiritually dead} were judged out of those things which were written in the books, ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS. {laws)

(Verse 13) "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell {grave and physically dead} delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS. {law} And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." 

This is the death of death. Death will be destroyed.

You read about the Lamb, Bride, works in this book which all pertain to the Israelites.  We who are dead in Christ are the Body not the Bride.

I believe the book of life is Christ.

I also believe the lake of fire and the second death is something we go through in this life but those who haven't, will at the end. The lake of fire and second death is not a literal fire and death but a spiritual one.

I do not accept that. The book of Uncovering is to His servants/slaves (Rev.1:1)
The Manifestation is to those who have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying.
Write (2Cor.3:2-3) to the called out ones, (seven) showing the strenght and the weakness in their walk, showing what must be strengthened and what must be removed.
No the Revealing is to you, and I should we be  in the Way; To day.....Heb 3:15  seeing that the warning still comes to us, "TO-DAY, IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS AS YOUR FOREFATHERS DID IN THE TIME OF THE PROVOCATION." (WNT)

He is telling us our steps.

John was one of the disciples who was to go to the Israelites. Paul was the only one that was sent to the Gentiles.

(Rev. 1:11) What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches WHICH ARE IN ASIA.

(Rev. 22:16) I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the Churches.

All through the book of Revelation it mentions being judged according to their works, or overcoming, which applies to those under laws. It talks about kings and priests which was only connected to the temple and Israel. It mentions the Lamb, the Bride which is Jesus being led to be crucified. The Bride is Israel. Mystery babylon the great is Jerusalem. The twenty four elders represent the nation of Israel.

I didn't say the whole book was for Israel only, I would have to say the majority is.

Apparently, bacteria?? prevents the fulfillment of Christ... or as a sign of unfulfilment.


Guess I need to be more subjective and mystical in my interpretation of bacteria...  bacteria, microscopic orgamism.  Wait a minute, I'm just a giant organism whose minor organisms have not repented and still have odor!  I need to be baptized in order for my bacterial repentance. YES I see it!  I need to be purified!!  My bacteria need Jesus!  Hallelujah!!!
