ps,

Scripture is interpreted by scripture.

What does this mean?....

Eph 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

or this...

Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Or this

"If I am lifted up from the earth i will draw all men unto me" John 12:32

Or

Behold I am making all things new! Rev 21:5

You seem to have no willingness or ability to read the scriptures for yourself. You present sources that make simple assertions without the evidence for them or the context of the rest of the scriptures.

William Barcaly is "apparently wrong"? Aionios is plainly a word for an "age" or an "eon". Kolassis is plainly a word that means "pruning". You have to beware reading things to confirm your prejudices, and try reading what the scriptures themselves teach, with an open heart and mind.

We are all very familiar with the arguments for eternal torment and annihilation. You are not familiar with the arguments for the salvation of all because you are not familiar wth the scriptures, and the whole context of the topic.

Our purpose here is not to debate with eternal torment and annihilation believers. We are hear to answer the questions of seekers and present the good news that all will be reconciled, all will be gathered into one in Christ, God will become all in all.

If you are not interested in learning you should go to some debate site, because this is not the place for you to present rehashed eternal torment junk.

LAST CHAPTER

RESTORATION: THROUGH THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES – CHARLES WELLER

"The feast of tabernacles means the feast of ingathering. It takes an eight day period to bring in the fullness of the ingathering. Eight is the number of new beginnings in scripture or FULL RESTORATION.

1Corinthians 15 is the last chapter in the Bible. The fifteenth chapter clearly shows how great the totality of the feast of tabernacles will be. 'As in Adam all die (every preacher will agree that all people are in Adam but few believe that the word all mean all in the second part of the verse) so in Christ all shall be made alive.' Jesus is going to gather all together in Himself. He will have everyone in His nature.

Everything that occurs, occurs in the plan and order of God. In 1Corinthians 15 God shows that there are different orders. The highest order is Jesus Christ. Everything will, in time, be brought into Jesus Christ. All shall be gathered into Him. When this is done then Jesus, the Son, will turn all over to the Father. It is then we find that time ends, for God becomes All in all (verse 28).

AT THE END OF THE AGES THE ABOLITION OF HELL – BOB EVELY
"The culmination of God's Word is found in 1Corinthian 15 when God become All in all.
The book of Revelation does not take us quite this far. Corruption is eliminated and our bodies are now incorruptible. The worst enemy of all, death, has been abolished.

The salvation of all has not meant the ignoring of sin. The lake of fire, the second death has accomplished its work. All men now recognize the wondrous ways of God and His grace as expressed through the work of Christ. The salvation of all does not negate or minimize the work of the cross. The work of Christ upon the cross and the power of God as displayed through the resurrection, were both very necessary.

But now at the end of the ages we see the true scope of God's work. Despite the sin and rebellion of humanity, God has found a way to bring every soul to the point of acceptance. The ages have ended. The purpose of the eons has now been fulfilled; to reconcile all to God. Wickedness and evil are gone. Death is no more. God is love, and He is All in all. Eternal life in perfection has begun."

SOONER OR LATER EVERYONE WILL GO TO HEAVEN

Up until the time of Augustine, most Christians believed in universal salvation.

Dr. Edwin Abbott, headmaster of the City of London School, wrote in his Cambridge Sermons -
QUOTE: "An argument was introduced by Augustine, and since his day incessantly repeated, that if aionios kolasis does not mean "endless punishment," then there is no security for the believer that aionios zoe means "endless life," and that he will enjoy the promise of endless happiness. But Matt. 25:46 shows the "eonian chastisement" and "eonian life" are of the same duration-lasting during the eons, and when the eons end, as Scripture states they will (1 Cor. 10:11; Heb. 9:26), the time called "eonian" is past and the life called "eonian" is finished, but life continues beyond the eons, as Paul teaches at 1 Cor. 15:26: "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death." (which must refer to the lake of fire, for the first death cannot be the last enemy). That is, the last, the final one in order. How will it be destroyed? First Corinthians 15:22 gives the answer: "For as IN ADAM ALL are dying, even so IN CHRIST ALL shall be made alive." Death is destroyed when ALL have been made alive, IN CHRIST."
-- Dr. Edwin Abbott

Note God's wording
In Christ all shall be made alive
not
All who are in Christ shall be made alive

GOD'S PLAN FOR THE AGES OF TIME
"During the present wicked eon (Gal.1:4), Sin reigns, Satan who is said to be "the god of this eon" (2 Cor.4:4) blinds and deceives mankind, and death swallows up the race (1 Cor.15:22). But notwithstanding, God is over all and is in supreme control. He is the eonian God. In due time He will deliver the entire creation and bring good out of all the suffering mankind is called upon to endure (Rom.8;18-23)."

NOTHING gives me greater pleasure than to guide people to the reasons why I see an infinitely different God in the Bible than the one I was taught in the several different eternal punishment churches I attended during years gone by and in the Bible school from which I graduated. I'm 77 years old.

My wife and I spent forty years of our lives distributing Christian literature. We are in our seventies now. The following testimony video by J. Preston Eby is an example of the power of literature. One critic thinks that Preston should have let the book burn up that his dad threw into the fire. But as a result of reading that book instead of letting it burn up, Preston later wrote the following expositional series based on his further studies of the Bible.

See the following great sixteen chapter introductory series to ultimate reconciliation. J. Preston Eby does a thorough job covering many aspects of the topic.  Fundamental reading for any person interested in studying universal salvation from a solid biblical perspective.
Highly Recommended!

...

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

....

Col 1:15-20 should read:

1:14   In whom we have the redemption through the blood of his, [concerning] the forgiveness of the sins;
1:15   who is [an] image of the invisible [Yhwh] God; [who is] [a] prototype of every creature;
1:16   because in him all the [creations] was created, the [creations] in the heavens and [the creations] upon the earth; the visible [creations] and the invisible [creations]: whether thrones, whether lordships, whether principles, whether authorities; all the [creations] hath been created through him (Yhshua), and [with respect] TO Him/him (Yhwh or Yhshua?),
1:17   and he is before all [creations], and all the [creations] in him had set together;
1:18   and he is the head of the body, the Called-out [assembly], who is a principle prototype out of the dead [people], in order that he would become being first in all [creations].
1:19   Because in him [it was] thought well to inhabit the every fullness.
1:20   And through him to reconcile [back] all the [creations] TO himself, having made peace through the blood of the STAKE of him; through him, whether the [creations] upon the earth, whether the [creations] in the heavens.

*I repeat:
V16 ...in him (Not: by him).
V20 ...through him (Not: by him).

YHV Lexicon:

in/on/among (G1722 Dative preposition en; at, in, on, into, among) John 1:1

through (G1223 Genitive preposition dia; proceeding through/across. Figuratively: by means of) John 1:3

E.g. Acts 2:22
Israelites men, hear these the words: Yehshua the Nazarite, a man having been set forth from the God TO you [with] [dynamic] power and wonders and signs, which the God did through him in a midst of you, as ye yourselves have known;

Seems to me that God opened up understanding in a progressive way through the eons  and is culminating this revelation of the gospel of grace and the victorious gospel of Christ since the late 1800's and through the 1900's.  We indeed are the beneficiaries of these rich treasures in this end time.

Not to be disagreeable, but I believe the apostles and the early disciples/ecclesia fully understood the gospel we are being restored to in these last days- and proclaimed it with clarity, a full assurance of faith, and the demonstration of the Spirit with power....

After all, we have received it through their words   :friendstu:

I agree with you on that completely EW. My point, although not well expressed, was that since the death of the apostles the glorious truths became corrupted through time. Versions like the Latin Vulgate and the KJV had so many errors that it led to confusion about the plain truth of Holy Scripture. Many today relying on versions based on errors find scripture confusing and contradictory. My main point is that it is only in recent times with all the tools we have for  a better understanding such as the Concordant Version have enabled more people to find the glorious truth.

Purpose of evil - "In regard to this subject orthodoxy is hopelessly contradictory and utterly absurd."

:thumbsup: :thumbsup:

It certainly was no error.. Perfect makes no mistakes. ...It's all in the Genesis account, how evil came about.

Did He know what the adversary would attempt to do and what would come about? Of course He did! :laughing7:
