WE DIFFER FROM ETERS

We differ on what we perceive to be of the Holy Spirit.

Interested students will examine the contents of the links I post, and will decide for themselves whether or not they think what it says is of the Holy Spirit.

Everyone will choose to believe whatever they are convinced is the truth about what the Bible teaches. I post on forums to give people an alternate point of view. Had I known that one existed I never would have had a horrific twelve year nervous breakdown 1966-78 over my inability to love a god who would allow anyone actually prefer to suffer forever rather than eventually reach out for the salvation that God has provided. I'm 77 years old now.

THE FOLLOWING HAS, AND ALWAYS WILL BE TRUE REGARDING THE DEBATE ABOUT ETERNAL TORMENT
The argument about "eternal hell" nearly always gets bogged down with the words, "My Greek scholars are more reliable than your Greek scholars," and the result is nearly always a stalemate. We also differ about what we perceive to be of the Holy Spirit.

My Greek scholars are Louis Abbott and the many Greek scholars he quotes in chapters three and twelve.

But if you think it glorifies God more to eventually meet everyone on the level of their greatest and deepest need which is a change in their stubborn will, then know that there is plenty of evidence in the Bible that is exactly what God is like.

some ?...most 'hellators' believe most of humankind will end up in eternal hell..that's what confounds me about them..even when provided with all the UR evidence they still hold onto this belief..I cant understand it...when I was confronted with UR evidence I changed my position...but most hellators do not,.thats what upsets me about them..their stubbornness..their stubborn desire to hold onto this evil doctrine at all costs without even considering the evidence for UR...Grrrrr !...sighhhh !  :dontknow:

Why did Christ have to die such a horrific death?  That question was posed to me by an on-line reader of The Glory Road over ten years ago now.  I gave it my best shot as did Harry Fox and John Gavazzoni.  The reader wasn't convinced, but I want to share Harry's one sentence answer to the man:  "Crucifixion," or its equivalent, is INTRINSIC to the kind of love in which God forgave and continues to forgive us, His enemies, who nailed Jesus to a cross (cf. Rom. 5:6-10; Col. 1:21-22).  Romans 5:10, asks this question:  "For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life ?"   The verse in Col. 1:21 shows the scope of that love:  "For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross."

In the forward to his book AN ANALYTICAL STUDY OF WORDS, Louis Abbott wrote, "One key area various denominations are divided over is the final destiny of the ungodly, the wicked, the unsaved, the unregenerate, or however one wishes to phrase it.
There are three views on this subject. Each position claims Scriptural support: (1) eternal torment; (2) eternal destruction; and (3) the ultimate salvation of all. It is obvious that all cannot be correct. Two of them have to be wrong.
