1Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

the signs also include extreme weather changes on earth, which has been picking up in frequency over the last few years ie tsunamis, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes...

also, the signs would also appear in the people of the world...it says that humanity's love will wane and grow cold...that violence and strife would increase, people would become selfish and lover's of self...

in Timothy we also find this about the last days:

Godlessness in the Last Days

1But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
6They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth. 8Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth—men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.

I think we should all judge for ourselves and discern the signs, but I for one believes that we are pretty close to those last days

Okay, you had an interesting point about the prophecy regaurding the last days.  If I am correct, we are currently in the last days, but that means the last age.  From Jesus ascention into Heaven till his second coming will be known as the final age.  If I am correct, the prophecy seems pretty relevant to the Middle Ages era.  "Lovers of money" Lets see, all those Popes who in the Middle Ages who sold Indulgences for the sake of gaining money off of peoples stupidity.  Yet, many Televangelists are playing on peoples fears by selling out these books of Hellish experiences, 2012 hoax, End of the world predictions, and Satan and demon attacks.  Thats not something new.  Boastful, proud, abusive.  Since the dawn of the middle ages, we have seen many religious people who were such Pharisees.  If you researched many of the quotes from many Medieval Theologians, they go about insulting other religions, racism, and a real Holier than thou attitude.  They go off faming that they will be one of the few who are saved, since they had fasted the most, knew the scriptures the best, you get the picture.  "Lovers of themselves."  Beginning with the Augustinian times, Salvation turned into this idea that it only mattered if you were saved, and was prominent with both Catholic and Protestant traditions till now.  "Loveless", as we have seen, throughout the middle ages till the late 1800's, there were some pretty sick quotes written by several Protestant and Catholic Theologians.
"They who shall enter into [the] joy [of the Lord] shall know what is going on outside in the outer darkness. . .The saints'. . . knowledge, which shall be great, shall keep them acquainted. . .with the eternal sufferings of the lost." St. Augustine

"In order that the happiness of the saints may be more delightful to them and that they may render more copious thanks to God for it, they are allowed to see perfectly the sufferings of the damned. . .So that they may be urged the more to praise God. . .The saints in heaven know distinctly all that happens. . .to the damned." St. Thomas Aquinas

Doesnt sound like too much love, sound pretty disgusting.

Now about the end of the World.  Jesus said we were not to know the day the world came, and in fact no one does, not the Angels in Heaven nor the Son of man.  So, we can safely assume that Jesus told us this to keep us vigilant till the end.  But Ages have lasted a long time as science records.  The first age as we know started in about 67000 BC, which was the record of the first Humans.(Represented by Adam and Eve, and the fall of man) people were not aware of God.  43000 year time span.  By 24000BC, peole had started acknowledging higher beings, and therefore started Religion and Ethics.(Noahs ark, and the cleansing of ungodly behavior).  24000 year timespan.  Then, Christ died at the beginning of the first Century, and Ressurected into Heaven starting the Final Age.  this could be another 24000-19000 years before Christ comes again.  Remember, 1000 years to us is only a day to the Lord.  So, th God, that amount of time is only a few months or so to him, which is not long at all.

Hi UC

You said:  "If I am correct, we are currently in the last days, but that means the last age."

Just wanted to give you something to consider.  Paul said in Eph. 2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

:cloud9: My  :2c: Since a day is like a thousand years to the Lord, we've been in the "last days" (of light AND darkness) for the last 2 thousand years. Next is the day of no part darkness, the 7th day. Blessings....

to say this nicely to a new member, the last days, end times, end of the world, and ALL like statements in the bible refer "to ME" as to ME and the end of all things of "this earth" before I became aware that I was God's and thought that I was self... some say born again, I choose not this saying.

So UC, if you go back to your post and change your thinking 'just for the fun of it' , try this on your self, every statement in the verses, think of it as this earth Man you are and what change took place IN you when YOU believed.... in the man Jesus, then The Anointed of The Father [Christ] and what you became when you became IN Christ....

Does it change you thinking???

Thats a good point.  I was pretty much taught from Catholicism not to worry about the end times.

"But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone."  This is my favorite response for people who try to guess when the apocalypse will occur.

The apocalypse comes at the end of time, upon death.

"But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone."

46And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

47And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

48And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

30Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

31The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.

32He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

33I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

34My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

35Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.

Psa 91:1-9
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!"  For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence.  He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;  Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.  A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you.  You will only look on with your eyes And see the recompense of the wicked.

For you have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place.

Psa 46:1-11  For the choir director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah, set to Alamoth. A Song.

God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah.

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling places of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.  The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered; He raised His voice, the earth melted. The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.

Come, behold the works of the LORD, Who has wrought desolations in the earth. He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth :bgdance:; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; :dsunny: He burns the chariots with fire. :egyptdance:

"Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.

Act 1:4-8
Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, "Which," He said, "you heard of from Me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."
So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, "Lord, is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?"
He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority;  but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."

The production and emission of light by a living organism; the result of a chemical reaction during which chemical energy is converted to light energy. All cells produce some form of bioluminescence (living light) within the electromagnetic spectrum, but most are not visible or noticeable to the naked eye. Every organism's bios lumen is unique in wavelength, duration, timing and regularity of flashes.

Now, How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer [heylel; the morning star], son of the morning!  How art thou cut down to the ground ...as in man, the first Adam?

Just a thought, but is not Jesus, the "day" star, the consuming fire; the second Adam (man) who overcame his human nature?

Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the "day" (star) shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire ... If any man's work (exerting effort directed to produce or accomplish something for themselves) shall be burned [katakaio; to burn down to the ground, to consume wholly, burn up, utterly – from the intensity of living light], he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire.

This is not a complex thing to understand, it's about dissociating from the sinful passions within our own hearts; the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. As the Adversary, like lightening falls from power.

The surrendering of all limiting beliefs, must give way to the Spirit of Truth. For the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter, until the full day. It leads to life above to the wise, departing from the grave; beneath.

"Turn on the light; the darkness will flee."
