The Jasper and Carnelian gem stones , red and orange, suggest God and Christ are dark complexion beings . It also supports them being fire beings , red and orange certainly are suggestive of heat.

In Rev. 4:2-4, Some versions use "The Sardine stone" in John's description, it is the same color, reddish brown 🟤. God had the appearence of being dark complexioned. Which is interesting because most Anglo Saxon or  European art picture God and Christ as being blue eyed white men with flowing locs of curly hair. These obvious errors have the most popularity in history. The 4 Great 6 winged beasts on the throne had face of a man, an Eagle , a Lion and a calf.

Some view all this as symbolism or metaphor ,  I view it as literal. I think The Father and Christ, and many angelic beings, are mixtures of heavenly things and earthly beasts, and fire , water and Jewels. Along with wings. Majestic in sight, it is difficult to place together an exact look of something that kills you for looking at it.

It is also of interest that Christ was from the root and offspring of David, Rev.22:16,  and David's appearance or countenance was that he had as"Ruddy", or dark red in complexion , 1Sam.16:12. David was Ruddy as is God and Christ and in scripture, but we have very little art depicting that. This let's us know that racism entered into even biblical translations.

This was good news for salvation in that it opens the door and includes darker skinned races that history tried to exclude from salvation. Many biblical scholars were teaching that dark skinned races were cursed. Now even slaves could be saved and many fought against that. Some of them wanted to limit the salvation of women and children.

There can be no racism in salvation , whew arnt you glad. No human meddling. Yet even with that, the element of being called has messed up a lot of religions and people. They can't handle it. It goes straight to their heads and now their over special. The calling of God is claimed by many churches and tribes. They are self convinced that it's them. They start acting different and aloof . They feel like their anointed and born again.. their heads swell as big as pumpkins.

And it's hard to deflate this condition.

Many believers see their calling as natural, something God had no over choice than to do. They were just too good , so he choose them. Because they were noble good people. Yet 1Corinth.1:26-29 contradicts these noble thoughts."For you see your calling, brethren, how not many wise men after the flesh , not many mighty, not many noble are called." So the list is getting shorter and more complex. For God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confuse the wise, and the weak things of the world to confound things which are mighty. And the base things of the world and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yes, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are. That no flesh should glory In his presence. Now this just complexcates things more. So the people who claim to be called, are placing themselves in an ignoble position. Not an attractive one at all

Now they must admit to being foolish, ignorant , weak minded believers. Or just ignore these scripture. God did not want believers bragging about being called and trying to make it seem like an anointed position. But that's what believers did anyway. The temptation to elevate self was just too attractive to the flesh. They failed to see the wisdom and the intent God wanted in the calling.

Mickiel

The calling of God is an area where God moves first ,John 6:44 , no one can call themselves, they must be drawn by God. Personally motivated to move into closed areas of the consciousness. The calling is a holy one, 2Tim.1:9 , that has nothing to do with the character of the believer or the works of the believer, God has other purposes for calling people, grace being a main reason. Something not deserved  like a reward for behavior.

There is an extensive "Weeding out process", Matt.22:14", For may are called but few are chosen." Then things are worked out, Romans 8:28-30.  But the calling of God is just a matter of time, eventually all are called, 1Corinth.7:17-24.

It's just no doubt that Satan likes to use this calling to get believers stuck in a selfish hole. The calling of God is for blind sinners who need repentance, Luke 5:32.  Jesus is very clear that he came to call sinners, not the righteous. We're not called because our spiritual light was shining. So we have to be sure and certain about this being called thing, 2Pet.1:10.

Mickiel

In Gal.1:11-12 Paul reveals the gospel was given to him by the revelation of Jesus Christ , no man taught him that. Men  Had absolutely nothing to do with his being anointed, and verse 15 he states God called him by his grace.. In verse 13 he was persecuting the church, then God separated him and set him on a new path. So Paul's resume didn't look good. The grace of God received the shine here. That is how you recognize the calling of God,grace will shine on the individual and God will get the glory. The human is not at their best , God's grace is. The human is not lifted up, God's grace is. The believer is not glorified , God is. This is the global reaction in heaven, and needs to be on earth.

Mickiel

The pathology of the calling of God is unique, his grace is sufficient and his power is made perfect in weakness. 2Corinth. 12:9.unusual the way this works.  The called individual cannot boast. You're called to a relationship.  To belong to Christ in every element of your life. Your life is no longer your own, you are called to suffer persecution. And God himself suffers with you. One of the fruits of the spirit is suffering. The fruit are God's ways, so God suffers himself. He suffers because you are suffering. You are his child.

Mickiel

Jesus came to call sinners to repentance. , All have sinned so all are called in one manner of speaking. All will be called. Sin is a calling card.

Now the bible shifts gears from a calling stage to a chosen stage. The difference is appointment to action. Being chosen means to go and bear fruit, not hide on a website, John 15:16.  Notice 1Pet:2:9-10, But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood , a holy nation , that you may proclaim the praises of him who called you out of darkness into the marvelous light. Like ancient Israel God's own elect. Duet.7:6. Many are called but few chosen, Matt.22:14 , denotes God is preparing to act , he does not build a church to sit on it's rears,  A chosen generation , 1Pet.2:9 again chosen to action of praising God and living a life reflecting the fruit of the spirit. When God opens a door , walk through it and see what it is he wants for you "To do!" Do something. Don't just stand there , ask him to show you what to do. We are not called and chosen to freeze and become holy statues. Ask God to change your mentality into a disposition that is pleasing to him, and to change all positions you have that move against being chosen. To change your very consciousness into a chosen individual ready to do his will. Stand up and be chosen!

These are exciting times, get excited! This calling is a great unnatural event in your life.  I think one of the greatest challenges to being chosen is boredom, the believer being seduced into a lazy do nothing mentality. When your chosen, even  just bible study is a form of worship. How you deal with any and every person you meet takes on new meaning. Your motivation in seeing others as being saved should be solid , so you can see what to offer. We offer a sacrifice of praise and prayer for you and the person. We're not sitting and waiting to board a plane while you knit and enjoy the solitude of yourself. Ignoring everyone , as if your called and chosen to do that.  All that power invested in you, for what? To lay down In some kind of coma sleep , until God wakes you up? No, let it never be! God's churches sleepwalking and through the ages , lured into stored statues. Wear the mask for others if you forget Why you wear it.

"I have sworn by Myself, The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance".Isaiah 45:23

Mickiel

In Gal. 5:13"You my  brothers and sisters , were called to be free." This aspect of the calling is important,  you must consider your consciousness. Your mentality and what shape it's in. We look to avoid having a slave mentality to sin. That constricts you and limits your insight . Weights you down and hampers growth. The more free you are , the more you can access the fruit of God. The less control Satan has over you the more happy you can be. No longer imprisoned by the flesh, you can walk stronger and with more conscious meaning to your calling. Free people don't give in to peer pressure  and meaningless obligations. We trust only God to adjust our thinking to his will.

Mickiel

In our calling we walk in newness of life , it's a new thing. Preparing for a new future in a new  now and a new eternity. Everything's new in this calling, so it's not like were supposed to know it, know what to do.  If I may use an unusual analogy, it's like Jesus walked by and saw us stuck inside of a wall and could not move freely. So he frees us, pulls us off of the glue. This is what Romans 8:2 means, ",For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death." Our whole mentality had to be changed and new. In verse 6" For to be carnally minded  is death, but to be spiritually minded is life AND peace." It's definitely a new way of living and is a lot more peaceful. A conscious new way of thinking, a higher way of salvation is introduced where eternal life is freely given to all. Not everyone can think in these terms. Because man must see condemnation in the mix and they are stuck in that conscious learning mode. And we must remove the residue of that thinking from ourselves . It's like being let out of prison and adopted by the Father, Rom.8:15 , our conscious has been infected with fear and we want that removed before we enter eternity. We want a clear view of the real salvation. A clear understanding of it.

Mickiel

The calling of God is not to be played with. It's nothing to lie about or to haphazardly assume. It's a serious issue. But it can be faked by many believers, many of which probably really believe the are called, when they are not. Notice 2 Pet. 1:10, "Therefore brethren be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure." This is something we just need to be sure about , be for real with ourselves. Yet, a deceived believer does not know they are deceived. So we're just going to have a lot of believers who are really living a lie. So button down and ask God to show you your calling and plead with him to help your life be on his course, and keep your consciousness from being seared. We cannot be conscious of, those things we are not consciousness of.

Pray that you be established in the truth, especially the truth about yourself. It's a sad thing to think your plugged in to power and your not.

Mickiel

We can pray for "The effectual calling", or God's sovereign drawing of a sinner to salvation. In John 6:44 The Father draws people to him. This drawing so overwhelms the natural inclination to rebel and effects the consciousness of he person being drawn. They willingly now are aware and more faithful. Then God appeals directly to their will to act in order to fulfill his purpose, Phil. 2:13. God must impress his will on the natural state of man. They are drawn not invited.

Mickiel

In the latter times some will abandon the faith following deceiving spirits, having their conscious calling seared 1Tim.4:2. A seared conscious, literally cauterized and rendered insensitive to the spirit, dulls the senses of right and wrong,  and floods your calling with spiritual scar tissue.  A conscious free from guilt maintains integrity and clear knowledge unclouded by the seared conscious. Being seared can go deep, the deeper the heat the worse the burn on the believer. Pro.6:27.

Without being selfish , we need a level of belief in ourselves that we want this way of life. Do you know what I mean!  Deceiving spirits come at you with hypocritical lies because you know the truth. So it seeks  to kill the truth in you. A seared conscious is a dead conscious, calloused over so we cannot feel the truth anymore. You can no longer inspire others when your spirit is dead  You are darkened in your understanding and separated from God. When you no longer have a sensitive conscious calling, you live for sensuality. You replace love with lust.

Get help to restore yourself, don't try it alone. Why, because Intimacy and closeness  are rewards of relationship, both with God and brethren. We enter a sacred place where we have gratitude, joy and security.

Mickiel

In Rom.11:29 the calling of God is irrevocable. Strong scripture that means God's calling can't be changed or reversed. It is final. This is good news for sure. It reveals God is committed to seeing you through. If this does not give you faith,  nothing will. You will live this way the rest of your life , there are no more paths for you other than God's. You will continue on with Jesus to all eternity , that is also final. You will live as you are told to live and give yourself to obedience forever. You will love your God with all you heart, soul and mind.

And keep in mind that you are one of the most fortunate beings alive!

The salvation of man is through love an in love . -Viktor Frankl.

Again the true love story. In Heb.7:25 therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. We cannot fail In salvation, if a back door is opened by a demon, Jesus has it covered. If a vine gets severed , he is there to put it back together. He is the vine, we the branches.  Notice Jesus "Completely" saves us. Totally , utterly and entirely save us.  It's absolute.  In John 3:16 God so loved the world that he gave us Jesus , gave us salvation. But first gave us his love. Love is the canvas salvation was drawn on.

That canvas is the core destination of a person's life.  Conversion radically alters a person's understanding. It connects loose spiritual ends , and assist us in our walk. The help we need will be there. Jesus has a heavenly host of help assigned to humanity , starting with the first fruits.  Conversion is not a coffee break , it's a renewing of the mind.

Mickiel

I know it's very hard to bring people out of their closets to participate in things , but I  wanted to know what each of you think about the calling of God. List the signs of a person being called. Tell us why you believe your called. What signs of conversion need to be in place? Share if yo like. Welcome.

Mickiel

My input; signs of the calling and conversion;

1.Some evidence of the fruit of the spirit coming out of you.
2. Your search for knowledge increases.
3.you know that something is in your consciousness that was not there before.
4.you start seeing things differently.
5. The suffering begins.

I have more but I'll stop here and look for responses.

I definetly experienced those things on your list after my born again experience. Not as much now. There is still His comforting presence during prayer. Signs of his calling for me were running into Christians who would either play a significant role in my life or have a message for me. One time being drawn to run up to and talk to a stranger - feeling joyful as i did -whose testimony really affected me. And then the God-given dream of the reality of the dark side - which at the time I wasn't sure existed. I feel like surrendering to Jesus, and giving Him my life was the first good decision that I had made in my life up to that point. It's a mystery why He pursued me as I didn't deserve it with the poor decisions I had made in my life.

As far as your list

1. Evidence - someone coming up behind me and scaring me - and in response I said Jes..- but it was like I couldn't finish saying the word - like I was prevented from committing the sin.

2. Search for knowledge - after the born again experience I was reading the Bible for like 4-5 hours a day - like it was a passion.

Amen, that hunger and thrust for righteousness will grow with you. That hunger to study and know more. The hunger to be right. The thirst for the truth about it all becomes paramount. And we know your hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled. Knowledge becomes a passion for you ,then a joyful process. Matt. 5:6 becomes a promise from Christ. And you surrender to Jesus as your sanctification begins. A story you will never forget an hopefully always bear witness to.
