I posted this in another thread but I thought it to be applicable here as well:

1 Thess 5
1Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. 7For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen..

His mercy and grace applied changes things.  That's why we're given the word of reconciliation...Paul declared, "Be ye reconciled to God"... (I like to add a !  to that statement - I don't know if it was there in the original, but I sense it :)

"We have heard the joyful sound
Jesus saves, Jesus saves'
Spread glad tidings all around
Jesus saves, Jesus saves"

state solution to peace and security in Israel[two nations in your womb?] with the given due date

of 9 months by Kerry.....will they just give birth unto disturbance? Instant destruction upon them

when they are saying'peace and security?".[

is Perez as a son of  Ahab..making a marriage covenat with 'jezebel/babylon/catholic pope/pact?"

........the due date on April 15..blood moon.

Hi Sheila,
It might help to understand my viewpoint by knowing that I see a valid interpretation of all physical destruction to be pointing to destruction in sin. For example, a destroyed house is like unto a destroyed life in sin. Whatever happens to Israel in earthly terms I believe has metaphorical significance to the Lake of Fire and New Jerusalem.

The way I see it, the idea that there is a we and them is clearly and simply expressed in the words of Jesus and all the apostles. He died for all, them and us, and this ministry of reconciliation must continue until there is no more them and God is all in all in one big us.

The idea that we are"for" (in love and prayer) them is also in the words of Jesus and all the apostles.

This does not mean we are in "agreement" with them, as Jesus makes it clear that we are not and that they will hate us for it and kill us and drive us from their synagogues.

The fact that there is a gulf between believers and unbelievers is sure, but as ministers of reconciliation we are praying, as Jesus did, Father forgive them, they don't know what they are doing.

But not so we can stand and point fingers :mock:

There is two lives at play here James. One physical and the other Spiritual.

There as many weeks that divider in the former but none in the latter.

Was anyone talking about pointing fingers?  I didn't see that.

If you're saying everyone's spirit or spiritual condition are the same (no division) then I disagree.  I don't believe the scriptures support that - in fact, very much the opposite

We need to get on the same page. No. We are not on the same spiritual condition, but not because anything we have done, so that we might boast and point fingers.

Sometimes it is just better to say nothing. I am learning that. Sorry for the confusion.

Am I the only one who sees the ABOSOLUTE TRUTH in your post?

It seems unless a post is full of Scripture then it means nothing. But I do not agree with this concept. How are we to grow and learn from one another if we cannot share what is given.  :sigh:

You are very wise EW and I always learn much from you.

Did you think I was boasting..or pointing the finger? No,I don't think so..but God is my judge...

surely He knows my sorrows for the state of this world and my fellow brother's/man.

...but soon..he that both tempts and leads out in sin[deceives]..then accuses in the earth shall

be no more.  WHAT A DAY OF REJOICING THAT WILL BE..........

actually..the things taking place in the earth...make feel like vomiting and crying at the same time.

Julie, I don't think the "problem" is with "saying something".  This place is for discussion.  But if someone doesn't believe it to be accurate - especially scripturally, then you or I may be questioned on it or another view of it presented for thought or discussion.  To me, the problems wasn't that you "said something"..I just personally disagree with your specific statement that we need to let go of I and them, etc...  I asked you to show me how that's true (scripturally), and attempted to illustrate why I didn't believe it was. Also, I believe a thought such as this can be weaved in and out of other beliefs, even helping form a foundation - and IF that's so, then it's worth questioning/discussing IMO.  I don't believe suggesting that the scriptures appear clear that there is an absolute difference in lightness and darkness, saved/unsaved, etc., which doesn't seem to jibe with "no I/us/them, etc.",  means anyone's mocking, pointing fingers at, thinking better than others, or that we should..  IMO, it's just not the same thing, and I didn't think from previous posts, anyone was making that point.

There's no problem posting without it "being full of scripture".  I think that's another distraction from the issue - which is if statements are made that do not appear to be sound with scripture, it might be questioned and asked to "show how that's true, what's it based on?".

What is it that causes you to think no one else saw truth in eaglesway's post?  A couple of people expressed agreement, so  I don't know where your statement's coming from.   :dontknow:   Thanks.

Posting a scripture is a way for me to explain WHY I believe what I believe. Just because I post a scripture does not mean I am right, but if I am wrong in my interpretation you are free to show how the scripture does not say what I think.

The Apostles brought the gospel to the Churches. What they wrote down, therefore, is the truth about it. If we are going to discuss the Gospel, it must be in alignment with what they brought, or I might as well go talk about something else, make up my own Gospel.

The reason I post scriptures is because of this one point: The Gospel does not belong to me. I didn't make it up. It was brought by people that God ordained to to do so. Posting scripture is simply my way of showing submission to it.

I am losing it guys. I just responded to you. both and where it went is anyone's guess. I think I need to just step away for a while. I love you both.
