IMO the outcome didnt matter. Nothing of substance would have changed if the other actor was elected. These hand puppets are dancing to the same tune.

Correct, but for whatever reason, the PTB wanted Obama in power.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

There are two powers at work here on earth.
There is the power of the Holy Spirit.
and there is demonic power.

Human beings them selves are powerless to conspire.
We don't trust the people we conspire with
and we can't keep our mouths shut.

The people that know this have different weapons of warfare.
We don't need to know any ones name.

IMO,

In this age evil men have power to conspire with the advrsary, just as righteous men have power to conspire with God.
There is no power that is not given by God, but once given, it is given as a stewardship and judged in how it is exercized- whether in accordance with His will of whether in accordance with man's, or Satan's- Gold, silver, precious stone, wood, hay or stubble.

uh, oh...The Pope is resigning in two weeks

First time in 600 years.

Yeah, one Pope to go...ACCORDING TO THE PROPHECY.

There - I always wanted to say that.  :laughing7:

I remember feeling physically ill when Paul VI died, as it meant one less Pope till the end of time, but I'm OK with this.  This age is winding up, and good riddance!

Is there some kind of popal (papal?) prophecy that I don't know about? I will confess that this thread is very long and may have missed it lol.

Hi Laz.  I looked at this, and also saw your post in the other "pope" thread about one more pope to go and then the Lord reigns.  Do you (or anyone) have any solid scriptural statements about this, i.e., how the pope (their number, timing, etc.) can be clearly tied into the Lord's reign?  Thanks.

Only 'Biblical' in the sense of interpretation:  There will be a false prophet [an important religious figure] standing with the Antichrist.  He has two horns like a lamb, so the implication is that he is a Christian leader.   He represents the other beast [the false Christian church?].  Many think this will be a pope since a pope is the perfect figure to be head of a one world religion.   If one thinks we start the last 3.5 years this spring/summer, as we discussed earlier, the timing of this Pope's resignation is perfect.

It's just kind of spooky and all,-- along with the Pope prophecy,-- but, then, it looks like Lazarus and I were born on the same planet, far, far, away.

Rev 13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

Rev 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

Rev 16:13 (KJV) "And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet."

Rev 19:20 (KJV) "And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone."

Rev 20:10 (KJV) "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."

PS, according to the Pope prophecy, the last Pope's name will be Peter.

A few interesting things;  curious that the pope is predicted to "nourish the sheep".  I'm not sure that sounds legit.

Also, I guess the "dreadful judge" is God?  Or someone else?

"The end".  Was that part of the actual prophecy?  I saw that on wiki but wasn't sure. Seems to me the end of the age is only the end of some things, but really the beginning of many things.

yes, nourish the sheep sounds like he might be a good guy from this prophecy.  Notice it mentions the tribulation and then the return of Christ.

Yes, from the prophecy, the next Pope will be the last Pope before the return of Christ.  His name will be Peter.

Are you objecting to the word, 'dreadful' ?

To some it will be dreadful--

"For behold, the LORD will come in fire, and his chariots like the whirlwind, to render his anger in fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire will the LORD enter into judgment, and by his sword, with all flesh; and those slain by the LORD shall be many." Isaiah 66:15-16

Questioning if the prophecy is calling God that, or means someone else - and questioning this prophecy in general.  I understand your point, many will dread - but in the context of this prophecy, I find it odd the pope would be described as a nourisher of the church, while God was called dreadful.

Oh, well, that doesn't bother me so much, we're talking someone from the 12th Century here, a Catholic Bishop.  They had their own way of talking then.

Wyon attributed the list to Saint Malachy, the 12th‑century bishop of Armagh in Ireland

"Cardinal Peter Turkson of Ghana or Cardinal Francis Arinze of Nigeria, each a front-runner, could become the first black pope. However, some suggest that "Victor I, from 189 to 199, was the first black pope. He was born in the Roman province of Africa, as were Pope Miltilades (311-314) and Pope Gelasius I 492-496," the Telegraph writes."

No "solid scriptural statements" really, just connecting the dots as usual.  Seems to me that prophecy is never 100% solid anyway until after the fact.

OK, thanks.  I didn't know of any, but thought I might be missing something "hidden" somewhere I wasn't putting a finger on.  Molly's comment about the ram's horns indicating a religious figure was something I hadn't caught before.

I don't know much about language, but it would surprise me if their language would be so different as to describe someone supposedly "affiliated with satan" and charged with splitting the church into fragments, etc., as someone good and nurturing the church.   :dunno2:

All this is interesting, but I just honestly don't know how much stock we can put in it.  Seems many are really enamored with it, while many others say the prophecy that was discovered was a fake/spurrious.

I think this guy Horn is either a believer in it, and/or is making some money on it.

from examiner.com

"In his research for his book, Horn spoke with many Catholic theologians who believe the final pope will not be the anti-Christ, but he'll be a false pope, under the influence of Satan. Horn believes this final pope will be the person who steers the religious community into following a great political figure who will be the anti-Christ.

Horn's research also indicated that the third secret of Fatima, as well as other Marian prophecies, stated that the last pope would be affiliated with Satan.

According to Horn, Pope Petrus Romanus, or Peter of Rome, won't necessarily have to be named Peter. Every pope who ascends to the Throne of Peter becomes a direct descendant of Saint Peter. However, if the next pope is Italian, then the prophecy will be fulfilled."

I can't seem to "pull all this together", i.e., is this last pope supposed to be good and nurturing the church, or tearing it apart?  And is the Catholic religious institution The Church, the end times saints?   :pitiful:

I saw one guy say the great falling away happened when the protestants split from the [Mother] Church.   :LH:

IMO, Anybody who nurtures the Catholic church as opposed to the "ecclesia of God"- body of Christ called out from amongst men- is of the anti-Christ spirit.....of those things trying to take the place of Jesus as "".head over all things to His church, the body, the fulness of Him who fills all in all

The interesting thing here is that these children
are here now on our watch.

Lord please lead us with the power of Love.
That we have no fear for our self's and our families.
Lord you know that me, even asking you is a reflection
of what you have written on my heart.
Lord assure my mind.
You know my mind and the frailties of ideas that seem only to be possible if I know I am walking ( I was going to say with you) but I have more comfort knowing you are walking with me .
I trust your plan Jesus. I do not trust my ability to understand.
All things are important. Jesus made all things important.

Amen
