When the Messiah comes He'll bring a Spirit of judgment and a Spirit of fire to cleanse the world. Living believers will be welcomed into the Kingdom (Matt. 25:34) while unbelievers will be taken away to eternal [aionios] punishment (Matt. 25:46).

IMO, in Matthew 25, these are pictures of the Great White Throne judgment at the second resurrection. Consider that the reason we should watch, "because no one knos the day or the hour", is because no one knows the hour of their death, from which each of us(who does not awaken in the first resurrection) will awaken to the "sheep and goat" resurrection. Unbelievers are not ushered into aionian judgment at the beginning of the millenial reign imo- Jesus will rule from Jerusalem with a rod of iron.

The passage below from Zechariah speaks of the plague that will fall upon those who do not send their representatives to Jerusalem to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ- mentioning specifically Egypt. This will be a "year to year" enforcement showing(IMO) that throughout the millienial reign their will be those who are in submission only because they have to be- thus explaining why the adversary will find so many ready recruits for Gog Magog at the end of the 1000 years

Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity(coming soon!), and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light. And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses. And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited. And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague. And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

I wonder if this decree is the "eternal" [aionios] punishment of the goat nations?

Because it is nations being judged here:

31 "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

--Mat 25

And the aion that this punishment will last will be 1000 years?

The punishment:  Celebrate the feast of Tabernacles, or else.

yes, it says nations, but IMO that simply refers to the aggregates of people who have been rebellious, for we clearly see in the separation of the sheeps and goats that it is by their individual acts and attitudes that they are placed in one category or another. And I believe this is at the great white throne. God will not consign an entire nation to aionios kolassis because of the actions of a few or even a majority. God judges individuals as far as aionian judgments are concerned. "It is given to man once to die and the comes the judgment.

Another interesting point to me, is that even after Satan and the beast and the false prophet are bound (probably in the same manner as the angels of Jude 6)- there are still rebellious nations and individuals that must be ruled with the rod- showing that the devil does not deserve as much credit for our ills as he gets- I guess he simply marshalls our already existing disobedience in order to destroy us as he seeks to further wound the Father. When he is locked away however, with no one to "stir up" and "gather the nations to war" the reign of righteousness will proceed nicely(swords into plowshears, lion & the lamb), until the one who has the chains is taken out of the way for Gog and Magog at the end of the millenial reign.

Look at it again.  Yes, it does say, Nations.  And it gives Egypt as an example.  This is not the Great White Throne Judgment.  This happens "when the Son of Man returns in his glory,"  which is the return of Jesus.   The judgment of men at that time will be implicit in the marriage of the bride, and the first resurrection [those who are the dead in Christ only].  But, there will still be those outside the city.  And he will rule the nations with a rod of iron.

But here we are told the punishment of the goat nations [with Egypt as an example] is celebrate Tabernacles, or else.   So now we must think of the nations which rush to the aid of other nations, and the individual people of other nations,  and those that don't.

And, by and large, it is the Christian nations that do.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

--Mat 25

"Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; he who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere youth; he who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed.

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

It is given to man once to die- and then comes judgment.

IMO When a person dies- they go into whatever state you care to believe in, Sheol, soul sleep, Paradise or the Abyss, non-existence, etc- non of that matters much really because when a person dies- as far as their consciousness is concerned- everyone wakes up in one moment- the judgment.

"Hide us from the Lamb and the one who sits on the throne"

"Every eye will see Him even those who pierced Him"

Therefore Jesus tells us to watch. Who has he told to watch? EVERYONE WHO HAS HEARD HIS WORD SINCE HE SPOKE IT 2000 YEARS AGO.

Please do not misunderstand me, I am not a preterist, I believe the second advent is yet to come but, all of these warnings were not just written for the generation that sees the actual historical occurence of the second advent because

EVERY EYE WILL SEE HIM. THE VEIL IN THE HEAVENS WILL BE ROLLED BACK LIKE A SCROLL. In other words, (IMO) everyone who ever lived will awaken in that moment and the judgment will begin.

Therefore watch because the day of the Lord comes like a thief. Who is the thief? Death. Therefore walk in the light as children of the day. We are not taken by death as a thief.  We enter death already victorious over it. Of the people of Noah's day it is written,

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. "For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. "For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
(Mat 24:35-39)

Rev 20:11  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
(Heb 4:12-13)

For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.
(Rom 2:14-16)

In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea. In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine.
(Isa 27:1-2)

And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.
(Rev 19:11-15)

Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire(His eyes were as flames of fire), and the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work. If any man's work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss(Lord, Lord, didnt we...?); but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire(depart from me into the fire ....).
(1Co 3:12-15)

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them(Psalm 82!)(know ye not that ye shall judge angels?): and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
(Rev 20:4-5)

IMO all these verses speak to the judgment of God and the day of the Lord.

In that day there will be no light; the luminaries will dwindle. For it will be a unique day which is known to the LORD, neither day nor night, but it will come about that at evening time there will be light.
(Zec 14:6-7)

IMO, From the second advent until the great white throne will be judgment- the Day of the Lord. By the end of that day all judgment will be at an end. The elements of the world that was will have been "destroyed by fire" and remade into a new heavens and a new earth "wherein dwells righteousness" God will be ALL IN ALL (2 Pet 3:13)

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat(intense fire), the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?(every man's works will be tried with fire for THE DAY shall reveal it) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness(in which righteousness tabernacles- a tent full of righteousness). Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
(2Pe 3:10-16)

Now, Peter states clearly that these things are "hard to be understood", and I don't claim to understand all the details of the timing of eschatology and apocalypse or the unveiling of the typology involved. I LOOK ASKANCE AT ANYONE WHO CLAIMS IT IS SIMPLE AND CLEAR AND THEY "HAVE IT" and I definitely don't "have it", there is much yet to be revealed in the mid-rash of the brethren. Peace.

The Thousand Years

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a heavy chain in his hand. 2 He seized the dragon—that old serpent, who is the devil, Satan—and bound him in chains for a thousand years. 3 The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished. Afterward he must be released for a little while.

4 Then I saw thrones, and the people sitting on them had been given the authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony about Jesus and for proclaiming the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his statue, nor accepted his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They all came to life again, and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

5 This is the first resurrection. (The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years had ended.) 6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. For them the second death holds no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him a thousand years.

The Defeat of Satan

7 When the thousand years come to an end, Satan will be let out of his prison. 8 He will go out to deceive the nations—called Gog and Magog—in every corner of the earth. He will gather them together for battle—a mighty army, as numberless as sand along the seashore. 9 And I saw them as they went up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded God's people and the beloved city. But fire from heaven came down on the attacking armies and consumed them.

10 Then the devil, who had deceived them, was thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur, joining the beast and the false prophet. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

The Final Judgment

11 And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. 12 I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God's throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. 14 Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. 15 And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.

--Revelation 20

Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!

God's good spirit/spirit of evil/prince of this world.  Jesus delivers from this body undergoing this death.

He calls forth the wheat/sheep to inherit..and seperates the tares/goats/prince of this world.

the whole world under the Prince of this world is Egypt[redeemed man to be made over in Christ's image is the true

Isreal of God.  Men have become captive of prince of this world..for the most part..and become slaves

to sin[taken captive of the devil to do his will]

Now,as far as I can see.. any time we 'get in the flesh' there is contention strife greed murder and war..

but that term[in the flesh] is really a being under the influence of the spirit of the adversary..and doing his will

while we are in the spirit of holiness..there is peace, love joy, mildness.

also..though the beast and false prophet were taken out of the way..babylon and the spirit of harlotry=

fornication with the spirit of the kings of this world..were still ongoing......now I count man's sin's not

against him because of Jesus blood..and through no-other means[they know not what they do].

Gog's crowd are under the spirit of the adversary and there is going to be all the fruit of that spirit evidenced..

just as it is in us when we don't rule over it by the Holy spirit.

these are very deep things and hard for us all to wrap our minds around.I pray that God be with us all

and declare, refine our understanding, that we may have the mind of Christ in this matter.

fDo Not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming ..when all who are in their graves..will hear His voice

and come out-those who have done good[good portion of tokogae/God portion in man] will rise to live/sheep/1st

resurrection

those that have done evil will rise to be condemned[wicked tool portion of tokogae] goats/tares/2nd resurrection.

By myself I can do nothing;I JUDGE ONLY AS I HEAR,AND MY JUDGEMENT IS JUST, FOR I SEEK

NOT TO PLEASE MYSELF BUT HIM WHO SENT ME.

at the hour of death[which no man knows, but God] Jesus testifies as to what happens
.

now He tells us He judges no man..so what exactly is He judging here? He is,as far as I can see......

making dicernment of evil/good spirits in the tree of knowledge of good and evil expierence.  And

He is giving God's things to God[man raised up in the incorruptible image of God] and  the prince of this

world is given his  Man is saved from the 'wrath' of God by Jesus in the judging

there is no condemnation of man in the tree of life..what has been done to the flesh of man is the same

as to the flesh of Jesus.... a spirit of malicious hatred that brought him death..has no place..

Molly

Sheila, do you make any differentiation between the followers of Jesus and everyone else in the world as to what their fate is?  I don't mean in the long term but in the short term, which for these purposes is aionic.

sheila

when man's flesh become serpent bit[sin entered] it was the same as piercing Him[if ye have done it

to one of the least one of these,ye have done it to me.

Rev 20;11 they flee from His throne[that old serpent in the old heavens and earth]

he hides in man's flesh[for He knows God loves man..the mountains of the promises go to man as

his portion..thus satan hides in the holes and caves of our flesh..wants our flesh to 'cover' him....

the 'sinners' in Zion are afraid..'who can dwell in constant burnings[lof]

Isaaih  27;1  the Lord will punish with His sword..his fierce great and powerful sword.Leviathan

the fleeing serpent,Leviathan the coiling serpent,he will slay the monster of the sea[as living stones we are

the mountain of the Lord that fills the earth].Prvrbs 30;18  there are three thing too amazing for me..even four

the way of an eagle in the sky, THE WAY OF A SNAKE ON A ROCK]  p.s. when the sun starts warming up

serpents flee from the heat into hidey-holes. God comes with His sword of judgement and severes wicked spirits

from the soul of man[He divides the good from the evil in His judgement...what a strange and awesome

work He does......and a sword will pierce your soul, too.

sheila

well, yes, there is a differentiation..from those who are 'wise' and those who do not understand..

The elect, will declare the Glory Of God in this manner..and can lead to the righteousness of God...

instead of being deceived and finding themselves working on the wrong side. They ahve access to Jesus,

God's angels that stand by..and it is a great glory unto any man..to be a fellow-worker with the kingdom

of heaven. They can truly comfort mankind..and  assure them of the salvation of All men.Especially at

this time of the end..when satan knows his time is short..and will do great evil and cause much

suffering for mankind in this good/evil exercize. Also, the fear of death needs be removed from mankind..

Those that believe the deception will judge wrongly the intent of Father's and Jesus motives at this time..

they are coming to deliver all mankind from this body of death and clothe us in immortality..but others

that are deceived will expierence death in great terror as being condemned and unloved of God...I pity

them going under that delusion..and if the truth can spare them that 'trauma' of thinking they are hated

of God and being without hope in Him..I want them to know it.

OUR DELIVERANCE DRAWS NIGH...we look forward to all the wonderful things He has prepared for us.

we need strengthened with the assurance of the resurrection/immortality..we need comforted that we

are the children of God.  Why should we be like those without hope[satan and evil spirits] terror and fear

and hopelessness are the mindset of man deluded of satan..but faith hope and love remains in us

as we see His appearing.

the elect can strengthen 'wobbly' knees..so man can stand[lift yourself erect]     God's wrath is aimed

at the prince of this world and his evil works.

sheila

...the last enemy 'death' must be overcome..and placed beneath our feet..to overcome and be clothed

in immortality.  also, even if you are changed..and do not expierence it..the fear of it needs be removed

Jesus broke open the gates of death..that they should not hold us..and ,just as the prince of this world

comes, and the hour draws nigh, he should have no part in us either. We can not shrink back in fear

of death..it has no sting. Jesus said,'I am returning unto the Father" that is the mind we should have.

the pale horse immediately follows the black horse..the elect need to overcome the fear of death

as well as what shall we eat......the time of the end of flesh is upon us..and we must spiritually prepare

that we remain strong[faint not] and are able to stand.

sheila

we need not fear the four horsemen..they are a terror to evil spirits as they portend the time when man

will no longer be clothed in flesh. The pale horse death is overcome in that we are new spiritual creatures

and are to be clothed in immortal celestial flesh..no fear of being 'unclothed' should reign over us...

as the fear of death reigns over those deluded by satan.[Paul's commentary on not wishing to be

'unclothed'..when his time for change of garment was drawing nigh.

sheila

just as the white horse has gone forth in conquest..we know the victory in the battle  against the

Kingdom of darkness was won in Jesus Christ..and He has redeemed all mankind.Have no fear little

flock for I have overcome the world.

the fiery red one went forth also, fiery trials for us growing in the spirit[enmity between the seeds]...

power to take peace away from the earth'do not suppose I came to bring peace to the world, but a sword..

it pleased Him to trouble the 'carnal' that troubled the spirit man......He is bent on VICTORY!!!!

sheila

when Jesus looked up and saw a GREAT CROWD COMING TOWARD HIM,He said to Philip..

'Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?. He asked this only to test him,for He already

had in mind what He was going to do. Phulip answered 'Eight months wages would not be enough

for everyone to have a bite!"  Andrew said ,'here is a boy with five barley loaves and two fishes, but

how far will they go among so many?  Jesus said 'have the people sit down..................

Gather the pieces that are left over.Let nothing be wasted.....they filled 12 baskets with the peices of

the barley loaves left over.

Mark 8;    I HAVE PITY FOR THIS PEOPLE...THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN WITH ME THREE DAYS

AND HAVE NOTHING TO EAT[but condemnation]...IF......I......SEND THEM HOME HUNGRY......

THEY MIGHT GIVE OUT ON THE WAY...BECAUSE SOME OF THEM HAVE COME A LONG DISTANCE.

He told the crowd to sit down on the ground..and He took the  sevenloaves and gave thanks and broke them

and He gave them to His disciples to set before the people, and they did so.

Afterwards, the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces. that were left over.

Watch out for the leaven of the Pharisees and Herod.   Why are you talking about having no bread

Do you have eyes that fail to see or ears that fail to hear?   Do you still not understand.?

Where did everyone go? What's up? :Chinscratch: :Chinscratch:
It's Christmas Micah, all the heathen gather to Jerusalem at least once a year to worship the king. I believe Christmas is a partial fulfillment of that great prophecy.

Twelve baskets left over.
A doggie bag for each apostle
