Dont forget traducer. The adversary is all those meanings, yet without food the adversary cant carry out the mission, more or less finished. It is my reasoning that man, even in his believing state, sets the table, fills the plate for the enemy.

Context:Jesus is discussing his death with the disciples, and says the ruler of this age, also called 'this evil age,'  will be coming for him soon.  Later, we will see Satan enter into Judas at the last supper.  Jesus says that Satan has no power over him but that he is doing what his Father has commanded him to do.


25"These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. 26But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. 28 You heard me say to you, 'I am going away, and I will come to you.' The thing is--and I even got this as a child--Jesus exposes Satan and his demonic minions for what they are--just by allowing them to have total power over him.  Look what they do--they torture and murder an innocent man.  That alone should inform people to stay away from any consortium with these beings.  But, man still refuses, tempted by money, power, lust, secret knowledge--whatever looks to him as good gifts from the father of lies.

Here the devil has a kingdom. If the kingdom is merely physical through men, then why does God talk about his kingdom which we know as a spiritual kingdom competing against the kingdom of devil, which is contained in this man who was possessed.

Good point.  We tend to see only the material/carnal when we think of Satan, as if that were not something spiritual.  But, maybe it is.
