Beloved Servant

He retains with Him that physical body of Jesus that was borne of Mary; glorified!
The restitution of All things!

Dallas

Quote"Even in my PHYSICAL body."

Now, you get it!

Right, even in this physical body I am the complete fulfillment of Christ, in all ways. My death or personal growth has absolutley no bearing on that.

I am complete, and perfected, lacking nothing, been blessed with all spiritual blessing in the heavens.

This body stops nothing, why? Because Jesus' fulfillment was both physical and spiritual...NOT just spiritual.

Beloved Servant

But Dallas,
I agree in your faith and hope,
but until we all walk in the fulness
I still need to eat
Jesus does not
I still need to bathe
Jesus does not
...
We are still in the in-part realm.
The Sons are not yet glorified; as you underwear might attest.

So you see this body as being something keeping me from fulfillment. I don;t have hope of fulfillment coming I believe that it's already here and done.

I am completley glorified, even in this body...just as Jesus is.

You are talking out both sides of your mouth. You say yes while in this body then you say you can;t be because if this body.

Dallas

You argue spiritual works of Christ and try to prove your points by quoting physical evidence?

Beloved Servant

While in this body is our hope of glory,
but is not happened yet.
Do we do nothing but as we see the Father do?
Do we heal the sick and sight the blind as we see the Father do?
Jesus is the Pattern, and until now, the only one Who has glorified the flesh.
We still have only the promise.
Until you can say that I only do the Will of the One Who sent me; it ain't happened yet.
Give your girlfriend a big kiss g'night for me!

Dallas

QuoteWe still have only the promise.

2 Corinthians 1:20 "For all the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.

Acts 13:32"And we preach to you the good news of the promise made to the fathers 33 that God has fulfilled this promise"

Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things expected for, the evidence of things not seen."

Galatians 3: 25 "But now that faith has come"

Hebrews 10:1 "For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come"

Sorry BS, but you have been waiting for promised fulfillment, you are still living by the words of the law.

Beloved Servant

Not so...
God watches over His Word.
And in Him they are complete.
And we are in Him.
But the whole creation anxiously waits for the manifestation of the Sons of God.

Beloved Servant

So Dallas,
I am your doubting Thomas.
If you are the manifestation of the Son of God.
Show me.

Dallas

Jesus is the substance.

QuoteAnd in Him they are complete.
And we are in Him.

See, both sides of your mouth. We are complete, but we aren't?!?!

QuoteBut the whole creation anxiously waits for the manifestation of the Sons of God.

Your devotion to that very flawed doctrine doesn't remove the fact that scripture declares that all the promises were fulfilled. That you are waiting for the promises, and the law is what tells of coming promises.

Spouting some retorhic doesn't elude that.

Beloved Servant

So Dallas,
I am your doubting Thomas.
If you are the manifestation of the Son of God.
Show me.

Dallas

QuoteSo Dallas,
I am your doubting Thomas.
If you are the manifestation of the Son of God.
Show me.

You prove it to yourself.

Is Jesus revealed in you, is His Holy Spirit present in you, are you a son of God?

You have said yes.

The Sons of God have been revealed. Christ within.

The whole doctrine of the revealing of the sons is just an unbilical idea set forth, a movement of people liked it and it came to life. Just like other "great spiritual" visionaries, this one luckly doesn't demand sacrifce to catch a comet.

Beloved Servant

"The whole doctrine of the revealing of the sons is just an unbilical idea set forth"

You see Dallas,
and I knew it would eventually come to this—
is that I believe the Bible and all the Scriptures and do not deny or disrespect them and warp them to fit my beliefs.
The manifestation of the Sons is in the Book of Romans. period.
If you don't believe, so be it — I do believe and set my heart on every Word of the Bible.

Dallas

The whole idea of taking one scripture and blowing it out of proportion is a completley normal Pentacostal habit. This docctrine is just one of the many flavor of the movment. No meat and potatoes, but they really don;t care as long as it tastes good.

Dallas

QuoteI believe the Bible and all the Scriptures

The manifestation of the Sons is in the Book of Romans. period

Right, you believe them one at a time and contort them one at a time to your passing whim.

You read them as you see fit, not as the bible lays them out in context.

Just as Jack Van Impe and John Haggie, just because they say the words doesn't mean they understand...

Beloved Servant

Romans 8:19 (King James Version)

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

I live and breathe this Scripture!

If you think I am: "taking one scripture and blowing it out of proportion"
I disagree, I believe it verbatim.

This is the very meat of the Gospel and it tastes very good.

No you don't, you deny;

2 Corinthians 1:20 "For all the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us."

You said we are waiting for the promise.

Like I said, yes those words are there, but you have no understanding therof. You read them apart from the surrounding text as though they were the only letters on the page.

Mod Note - Let's redirect this to a discussion of understanding and interpretation of the specific doctrines and scriptures.  Not doing so will likely get this topic locked.  No need to get personal.
The oldest known manuscripts agree with each other 99% of the time.  The scriptures, accurately translated, Spirit revealed - reliable.   Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.  Heb. 12:2

Dallas

Hey Jab;

I would like to know where it is you think I am getting personal. I am responding to what BS has clearly stated.

Being serious, not jerky. :dontknow:

Beloved Servant

I deny no Scripture, for it is written.
All is in Him and through Him and with Him.
Yet:
Romans 8:19 (King James Version)
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Dallas

QuoteI deny no Scripture

Ok, then why did you say that we are waiting for the promise? The scripture is quite clear that the promise has been fulfilled.

QuoteWhile in this body is our hope of glory,
but is not happened yet.
Do we do nothing but as we see the Father do?
Do we heal the sick and sight the blind as we see the Father do?

Hi Dallas.  I didn't call your name or single you out.  However, we really are straying from "this is how I understand it" and getting into "you do this, you do that"...see what I mean?  there's a difference.  One way we're discussing, the other we're assigning motives, making judgments about each other's intent, etc....

This can still be pulled back in to the topic...nothing severe yet, just placing a comma in the discussion, word to the wise, an ounce of prevention, all that
