The fear of Eternity

In Matt.3:11 spoke of Jesus baptizing with the Holy Ghost and fire!  Mark 1:8 calls it baptism with the Holy Spirit.in vs 10 the Spirit descending is still the language being used. So is this how modern day believers must be baptized? With water and spirit?

There are no other ways listed in scripture to be baptized, except with water and spirit. Another believer can baptize you with water, but Jesus must baptize you with spirit. This is another way to know you have God's spirit, when he baptized you with it. Such an experience should have marked you memory and you should know exactly what happened and how. This is another reason I know I have not been baptized with the Holy Spirit, I would know something like that, never forget it and never lie about it. That would be a life changing eye opening experience , don't you think? Frozen into your memory banks.

Everywhere I have looked at the Holy Spirit being given, it comes down from heaven on its own and joins with the believer. Even in a large group setting like the book of Acts 2:1-4, it came from above , came to rest on each of them, until they all were filled with the spirit. So no human needs to baptize you to receive the Holy Spirit. These other gifts like speaking in tongues I really am unclear on, don't know what to think about them. So I don't worry about it.

I know a few of us here view fire as a part of God, isn't it interesting that most descriptions of the giving of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2:1-4 and the gift of tongues appeared as fire resting on them. Rather odd isn't it. Even more odd the effect of understanding other languages and ability to understand and speak those language's. And this fire sounded like a mighty rushing wind. This is just one recorded event of the giving of the spirit, each account I have read has always been dynamic. If this happens to any of us we ought know and remember.  How then could the spirit be given without similar drama to you? Just asking.

Romans 5:5 knowledge will pour out of you and God's love will be poured into you.  It will be something inside you and that was not there before. As in Eph.3:16 power through his spirit In Your inner being. Your consciousness will be renewed and remade. In John 14:26 the spirit will help you and teach you all things. That Spirit will bear witness with your spirit that you are a child of God. In Acts  1:8 being witness is again brought up, we will become witnesses after the spirit has come on you. I really think being a witness is very important and something God wants us to do. Come out of that selfish shell and share what God has done for you and explain this universal salvation. The world needs to know, whether they know It or not. The Holy Spirit has a mind,it knows what it is teaching you. Ask yourself if God would have something teach you that can't even think on its own. The Holy Spirit has a great mind, Romans 8:26-27 who knows what is the mind of the spirit? Our teacher and helper has a conscious mind , and is very powerful.

The internet is a marvelous place to witness spend a little time sharing this word.  I am surprised at the believers who think the Holy Spirit is some kind of nebulous ghost with no mind, just power. The Holy Spirit knows your name, knows all you weaknesses , your strengths, your knowledge , your body your dreams and our prayers, it knows you better than yourself.

In Isaiah 44:3 God will pour out water on a thirsty land and pour out his spirit on your offspring. What a blessing for the children. Isn't it interesting that we will have water of life to drink in the Kingdom. In Rev.22:1 there is a river of this water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out  of the throne of God. We need to drink water now to sustain life. So there is something more to water than we know. We will continue to drink it in the Kingdom.

So the Holy Spirit Is our teacher and helper , John 14:26. To teach us all things it must know all things. And know how to help humans. So in my view, my personal view , we can pray to the Holy spirit. I do. In 2Corinth. 13:14 we can have fellowship with the Spirit. The Holy Spirit will help us forever, John14:16.

Even the Holy Spirit will bear witness , John 15:26, bear witness about Christ and keep pointing  us to Jesus. In John 14:26 the spirit is our counselor in our memories .  Remind us of Christ teachings... A great source of Revelation , wisdom and power. It opens our eyes to the Hope of salvation  , the disciples were told to use that power to witness , Acts 1:8. The holy spirit is called the "Spirit of truth" and brings confidence to our salvation. I need that from God. I want to walk boldly in my belief, nothing wavering. So sometimes I wrestle with God in prayer. Pleading my case, while asking Christ and the Holy Spirit to help me get the Father to answer. I get so lonely at times, no one who knows this way to fellowship with face to face. No like minded belief.

But I keep it moving and keep praying for strength. This is a perculiar way of life ,  a struggle and a study in suffering. I ask your prayers.

Christ will help the holy spirit and work alongside of it, this is called "Parakletos",one called outside to help.It can be translated "Advocate" ,1John 2:1. Christ is the believers Paraclete with the Father when they sin. Christ advocacy is maintained by his righteousness, and has stretched out his universal coverage and atonement to the Fathers good will for our sins , and not cover just believers only,  but also for the sins of the whole world. Jesus averts the wrath of God by offering himself. And the Father is satisfied with that sacrifice. That satisfaction is what propitiation means. God's wrath burned out on the cross. It also revealed on a grand scale the stunning mercy seat of God. With Christ sacrifice coupled with the Father's mercy and love and supreme grace, human salvation is a done deal destined to never fail any of us. We are more than saved. Christ became our substitute and assumed our obligations he expiated our guilt..Covered it by the vicious punishment he endured. So Jesus stretched atonement way pass forgiveness by not just covering our sin up, but achieved the actual putting away of sin. It's total elimination.

1John 2:1-2. Christ promised not to orphan us, but to comfort us.So were going to need some kind of connection with the the Father and that happens to be the eternal efficacy of his own son's sacrifice. Now God has sanctioned stunning access to  himself , now we can confess our sins an he will be faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We are systematically being included in the process , not excluded. We can sit at the justification table where we are considered righteous through the work of Jesus. God considers sanctification to be transformation of a believers whole being. God and Christ are doing so much for us behind the scenes , a great mass movement of humans from the state of sin to the state of grace is being prepped.

The Lord undetands my fear of eternity and he pities those who fear him, Psalms 103:13-14. He remembers we are dust. Ps.31:19 , goodness is laid up for those who fear thee.  Unbelievers and sinners will be taught his way, he will teach them, Ps.,25:8. Gods goodness will lead them to repentance , Romans 2:4. These principles need to be rehearsed in our concious minds, Romans 12:2 , our thinking transformed by the renewing of our minds. So we cannot think in the same old veins. We have to rid ourselves of old covenant ways. Let your consciousness travel down roads that were closed to you before. Open your heart to God's guidance.

You have to travel down roads that you would not before. Like praying to the Holy Spirit , I did not ever do that before.i thought it was a no no. But look at Romans 8:26-27 the spirit helps our weakness , when we don't know how to pray , or get stuck on words , the holy spirit takes over and prays for us , it searches our hearts . And look , he who searches the hearts that knows what "The mind of the spirit is".  The spirit has a mind and if it talks to God for us, why couldn't we talk to it? He intercedes for the saints.  Hey that's relationship , it's power in our lap Eph. 6:18-20, "Pray at all times in the spirit". 

Prayers can be offered to the Father and Jesus, but the bible shows nowhere praying to the spirit, Which is why I say it's a road I choose to travel. I don't see anything wrong with talking to something that's leading me and being my guide.

Again God knows the mind of the spirit, Romans 8:26-27 , and the spirit knows our minds , even when we don't know how to think and pray.  I often ask the spirit to explain myself to the Father. All things will work together in our prayers, were getting a lot of help. This is for the saints. In Col. 4:2,"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankul.Blessings are granted through the prayers of many, 2Corith. 1:11. And God likes unselfish prayer 1Tim. 2:1-2 I urge then first of all that petitions  , prayers , intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people.The scope is universal. The Power In our lap and knees is stunning , John 14:3 Whatever you ask In my name I will do. That's power right there in you. On you. And it's to be shared with all people.

We should always pray and not lose heart, Luke 18:1 , not lose the emotions in our praying,, the love ,the pity, the goodness, the forgiveness in our plea for others. The holy spirit helps us keep a tight web of prayerful resources in our unity of spirit. Your going to realize one day that awesome power in your lap. Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to me and I will answer you ,and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. So the holy spirit spearheads  a mobility and of active monolith of prayers by the thousands of people and is able to save those people to the uttermost.

God is trying to stir up one another to love and good works ,  In Psalms 18:6 In my distress I called upon the Lord to my God I cried for help ,( this is what the holy spirit does for us), from his temple he heard my voice and my cry to him reached his ears. The prayer got through. Among who knows how many other thousands the spirit interceded for you.

To pray and not lose heart, as if the prayer will not be answered. Or feeling that you prayed  for the wrong thing. Clear conscious of how the spirit works would lay those fears to rest. A whole lot is at stake here, God is saying he will give us whatever we ask .

But of course we want to pray and ask for the right things.  Some things have been on my list for years, like being given God's spirit, I been asking for that over 40 years now, and will keep asking for it. We can pray for our spiritual and physical needs. Pray for mates, jobs , fruit of the spirit ,a keen awareness of how to think spiritual and apply things spiritual. A love for God and to know him. It's a smorgasbord of things to pray for daily. And we have a God that cares for each and every thing we need.

When you have cancer that takes up a lot of prayer time. I have a friend who is a pastor, she has an upstairs small attic closet that she crawls into to pray. You can't even stand up in there , it's so small. But that puts her in the mood she says.

One thing I pray for daily is the salvation of all. I think of all kinds of ways to pray about it. Universal salvation
:iagree: I agree with it. I love it. It is very close to my heart. In 1Tim.2:1-3  I encourage that prayers and intercession be made for all men. This is good in the sight of God, so God has his sights on this. We pray for all men because all men are saved and most must  live without knowing it. So they need our help, our prayers. And an encouraging word or two when possible. I want a heart that loves people and salvation.  IF God did me like he did Solomon, that's what I would ask for.

Jesus said in Matt. 16:18 that he will build a church that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. If history has shown us anything it's that Satan sure is trying to tear the church down. By any means necessary.  And some of us who knows he's doing it ,are standing by like a frozen popsicle and just watching him do it. As if there is no lines drawn between this. These believers feel powerless to help because they are convinced only God can. This is a stragit move by satan to keep God's people out of the fight.

Just in speculation if I were playing chess with Satan for the church being it's prize to the winner. My first line of defense would be the "Prayer pawns". They would be assigned to pray without ceasing ,for church survival and unity. They must constantly ask God, Christ and the Holy Spirit for help. The rest of the body must support them because they will get the brunt of the attacking hordes of demons. These are t

These are they that Satan wants to turn back, Paul hints that they could be turned back in Hebrews 6:4-8 In John 6:39 Jesus said it's the will of God that he should not lose even one. John 18:9. We also use in our defense John 17:2 , Jesus is given power over all flesh and the power to just give them eternal life. This literally supercharges the pawns, the saints. What an incredible first line of defense.

Ahh but the game is only beginning.

For Satan to get at salvation he knows he must enter and disturb the church. Salvation is represented by both competing Kings. The devil chooses to attack believer consciousness first with his pawns..  And it has devastating effect, 2Thess.2:2" That you be not soon shaken in mind , or be troubled 😟, neither by spirit , nor by word , nor by letter as from us , as that day of Christ is at hand."is They shook up the Thessalonian church with just words.. They had them confused. They were so unsteady they even had trouble reading Paul's letters to them.  So Satan has some crafty moves. He wants to move the attack forward where he can infect women and children. He wants to infect and destroy the whole minds of men. Isaiah 1:5 "The whole head is sick and the whole heart faint."Satan wants to push them back , backsliders. So  the church must unify the their ranks . Although a small church we have the greater power. The power of God

In Matt.4:1-11 Jesus is placed in check by Satan. Jesus takes  pawn,  by not breaking his fast fo food . Jesus grabs another bishop by not allowing Satan to test his relationship with God. Jesus places Satan into check mate. Refusing to accept any of his gifts. So really the game is over , salvation is a done deal , it's been made a free gift. So the front door to the salvation of all is wide open , now all Satan can do is sneak into the distorted back door of religions.

Satan has to formulate a counterfeit strong delusionary gospel of a burning hell fire to just stay in the mood from his lost. He very skillfully has. He's jumped all on salvation like a rabid dog gone mad , a worthy adversary. Because our salvation is so strong he has to water it down.

Satan has thrown a lot of false gospels into the mix. Religious gospels, Moralism gospels, prosperity gospels , self help gospels, signs and wonders gospels, Therapeutic gospel , and American gospel. The more merrier . There are even Social injustice gospels.  The true gospel is  coming kingdom  And his free gift to all. Made possible by
The  sacrifice of Christ on the  cross. Is this even something that satan can distort?  He certainly   can collapse these truths. But as the coming church The Holy Spirit will have them ready. There are dozens of false gospels, each created to confuse even our scope of things.  Iron sharpens iron, so we need to sharpen our conscious awareness. And learn new love for  new people newly called.

Stay in touch , communicate with them. Take their hand and walk with them. It's nothing like  "Being with  well rounded  anointed believers ". We can do these things?  Be guided in.

The. Battle is classic. , Good verses evil ,  salvation verse's hell.which one has the most impact. The debate over unconditional election is not that God elects or predestines  people to salvation, but why? Well it seems it's based on , God's sovereign choice to save them. By his grace alone we are safe.

In further speculating what if your city had to battle satan I live in Atlanta, let's use it as an example. Let's guess and say God has called maybe 1000 believers there. The population here is 5,911,000. We're far out numbered for sure. And I seriously doubt that the numbers would change in any other city. This is why we need the spirit for motivation to coexist.

I feel so sad for people who are scared of hell, I have never seen a demonic doctrine holding so much power to damage believers or potential believers. Jesus came to save men's lives,  not destroy them.Luke ,,9:56 And he's going to show them their salvation ,   Luke 3:6.!

You can tell by human reactions to hell that most people just want to survive and be secure in the future. So people are just latching on to a  hope they can get.

You can look at the big lie that Trump is spreading and how so many believe him that the election was a
Rigged plan. Eternal hell is a lie that has been told for many,many years and people just believe it.
