"christianity" and western society grew on the mantra of manifest destiny.  Literally attempting to bring the kingdom of God, manifesting their destiny as God's chosen people to bring the kingdom of God to Earth (much of it driven by British Israelism).  A noble attempt.  Misguided as to what the kingdom is IMO.  killing the indians, and enslaving the blacks wasn't ever part of the kingdom, well the Hagar kingdom, of Ishmaelites.

But, there have been people from both kingdoms in this country since the outset, just like the rest of the world since time began.

While part of my personal theology is akin (but only akin) to "British Israelism," the result of Amerika's national theology of Manifest Destiny shows (once again) that you cannot establish the Kingdom through the agency of the Arm of Flesh.

Laz that is my point. We just may differ as to when america began in the arm of the flesh. For me any country is a kingddom of men. Aka the nations in rev. And for me that includes he country of Israel and america

I do not find the Re: Prophecy.... an acceptable place to produce useful dialogue for prophecy or prediction as to what concerns the Bible. The answer to who is "the man" is barack obama,..... and I shutter to use the word, silly. There I go again. I mean no offence, but to offer that is damn well human in it's entire concept. I don't think we can speculate on who the final anti-Christ will be.. well, we cAn, but what good is that? The whole world pretty much.. man's kingdom, is anti-Christ! We can study prophecy and we can watch and pray.. watch for the signs Jesus gave, and also Daniel which Jesus mentioned.. And other Bible prophets too of course, but the meat for the most part is the Book of Revelation, Jesus' signs He gave, and Daniel.

God can use nations, obviously, what with Jesus being "the seed of Abraham who will bless aLL nations". But that doesn't make Israel perfect or perfected. That doesn't occur until resurrection, and even then, not sure all nations will be perfect or perfected immediately, as 1000 years later is a second resurrection of all those who "died in their sins" and rise I'm strongly assuming, also "in their sins" as they do not yet "believe" and cleave or bend the knee.

Many of course do feel the U.S was a Christian nation, but that doesn't make the U.S to ever had been perfect.. even on the Mayflower, the people were not yet perfected. And we know many others followed after the Mayflower, criminals, and the like, included, and business oriented also. [If we read rev chapter 12 about the nation with 12 stars, which births a son of man who will rule the nations with a rod of iron(un-breakable laws of God, Ps 2:9?6?), which the dragon (using Herod) tried to devour the child when born but He was caught up to God and His Throne (Heb 1:3). Then there are two ragings of the dragon and two migrations (#1 being in 70a.d. and #2 when the nation, now Christianity "was given the two wings of an eagle to fly, sail? to a new place free from the face of satan for 350 modern time span - 1620 to 1970 ,at which time filth is vomited out of the dragon's mouth, using the serpent guise, in order to wash her/ Christianity from off the face of the earth.. but the earth helps the woman and the dragon turns his attention more fully to her other offspring who now have the testimony of Jesus..and the "spirits gather together the kings of the earth to Armageddon, blessed is the one watching for I come as a thief, and they gathered together to Armageddon."-Rev 16:14,15,16.
..Jesus had said "Israel you shall not see me again until you say blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord".. at which time we can assume Israel does see Him again..

But even though the Lord uses Christianity and Israel, does not imply they are in any way perfect. This is simply God's proving drama, much like a parent may give a child a certain amount of free will so they can learn.. proving good from evil, life from death, true from untrue  .

As to who the final 'man of sin' will be, there's a very large clue - rev 13:13 - a new fire brought down from heaven/the sky, in the sight of man.. pinpoints an office..one, I'm assuming starts out as a lamb, but ends up speaking like a dragon(vs11?12?) when united with the 'big' beast.. world beast or body.

...it sure would be nice to be able to hand on an understanding of Bible prophecy to those who will be dealing with the collapse of man's empires(final global one, or gone global) as I'm sure they were given not without purpose.

What were the signs Jesus gave? Israel surrounded by armies.. and the abomination of desolation told of by Daniel (especially 12:11,12) when he, Daniel said three and one half (Hebrew) years after the (place of) daily prayers offered, is taken away, removed, shall be set up the abomination which desolates. "And BLESSED is the one" (in that day) "who makes it to 45 days later." -- We can see things going global, etc, (the harlot, today's /greek word "harlot"=pornos upon seven hills/continents and in bed with the politicians/kings, and by her enchantments she makes the merchants rich... not yesteryear's harlot as so much of the church focuses upon.. And a "strong delusion"... what is the strongest delusion at work upon mankind in today's world?.. the root, we could say of where today's world is going wrong (???)

In John's day when he was at Patmos, the Roman numbers at use at the time, added up to 666.
500, 100, 50, 10, 5, and 1 - today's application? Some say it will be in the numbering system of which we have the date of birth as 6 numbers now, as in 01/23/12, and there would be two more numberings which 6 digits.. I find things in our world getting very creepy/spooky.. what with tracking ability, satellite surveillance, hologram ability being developed and was demonstrated in China.. unmanned drone surveillance.. and the strong trend in some parts toward global governance.. (lotta power in few hands!).. and the U.S. (and other western nations) losing sight of the safety nets of the constitution and separation of powers.. and also seems more western attitude of 'a king' or charismatic leader.. seems to be shaping up also.. [when the guy office (rev 13:11-18, which did 13:13, steps into the prime seat of rev 13:1-10.. then, we will know who 'he' is.] :smile: :2c:

Remember that Reagan, Bush(s), Obama, and all such, are just errand boys compared to the real men of power.  It is these men who really rule the world, and you and I have probably not ever heard their names spoken.  When the real Antichrist arrives, he will probably be an errand boy too, the real power prefers to keep hidden, IMHO.

It is also my opinion that for his last 3.5 years, he will be indwelt by Satan.

Everything will be revealed, including the man who Satan chooses to indwell at this time to run his 'unified' world.
