A few years before God showed me UR, I was praying for my agnostic brother to be saved.  Again, I felt God impress upon my heart, "he will be saved, but not as you expect".  I didn't know at the time what that meant.  Praise be to God for His perfect Plan of the Ages.

I finished reading Mrs. Van Assen's revelation and I can only hope and pray from the bottom of my heart it's a genuine one. It's the single most beautiful thing I've ever read. All my questions about God, Christ, the Bible, Life, Universe and Everything answered.

If I had known (or "believed") all this stuff in my early years I would've made my mission of life to reach as many people with The Truly Good News as possible. I feel like I have been had by the Devil big time.  :sigh:

I think most of us "feel had".  But, after further reflection and some time I'm not sure "we have been had".  We were submitted to a season of law.  And now you are entering the season of grace in your life.  I have a feeling this is just the beginning for you.  I feel alot of self loathing on your part.  I think that is going to change with your new found revelation.  Once you realize how much God loves you...you start loving yourself.  You will cut yourself a break and just bask in relationship.  You might not be where you ought to be but you certainly are better than what you have been.  Progress not perfection is a wonderful saying and I believe it.  God doesn't expect you to be perfect.  He expects you to grow.

Even thought this is only the beginning, guess it's going to take a lot of time to become fully healed.

By the way an interesting thing happened to me yesterday. It suddenly just occurred to me "predestined" doesn't mean "appointed either to eternal bliss or eternal torment". Instead, it means "destined ahead of time".

I don't know if it was a divine revelation or just my mind playing tricks on me but this explanation just popped in my mind very strongly, completely out of blue.

There's also a recovery or a renewing of our mind whch means that, in that case, older definitions which were wrong are renewed into their true meaning by the Spirit of Thruth.
I also surprise myself sometimes into bringing back hell into my interpretation of Scriptures when it just doesnt exist in that sense.

Yes, I believe this verse is very strong.  It does support the interpretation that believers are the first fruits.

As for DVA's account, there's one part I've found to be a bit troubling.

5) However, the person (who waits) shall be saved "as by means of fire" – 1. Cor. 3:13-15; 1 John 2:28; Cev. 16:15.

In my opinion the passage in 1. Cor. 3 doesn't talk about the salvation of an unbeliever at all, especially if we also read the verses 10-12.

1st Corinthians 3:10   According to the grace of God that was given to me, as a wise master-builder, a foundation I have laid, and another doth build on [it],

1st Corinthians 3:11   for other foundation no one is able to lay except that which is laid, which is Jesus the Christ;

1st Corinthians 3:12   and if any one doth build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw

1st Corinthians 3:13   of each the work shall become manifest, for the day shall declare [it], because in fire it is revealed, and the work of each, what kind it is, the fire shall prove;

1st Corinthians 3:14   if of any one the work doth remain that he built on [it], a wage he shall receive;

1st Corinthians 3:15   if of any the work is burned up, he shall suffer loss; and himself shall be saved, but so as through fire.

1st Corinthians 3:16   have ye not known that ye are a sanctuary of God, and the Spirit of God doth dwell in you?

1st Corinthians 3:17   if any one the sanctuary of God doth waste, him shall God waste; for the sanctuary of God is holy, the which ye are.

Paul is writing to the Christians in Corinth and talking about believers building good and bad things on the Jesus foundation. I don't see anything about unbelievers, their works or salvation here.  :dontknow:

:cloud9:  Amen Molly......Christ IS the firstfruits of EVERY MAN, He is the "tithe". This is why Abraham was told to lay HIS PROMISED SON on the altar, mirroring what was in the heavenly pattern. God will (and has) provide the sacrifice......it is not of man, lest any should boast. Blessings....

I still get in that a lot, like you said, you can't change overnight.
Christianity has taught us that God is so in love with us that every good promises are for us and every judgement and punishment are for the evil unbelievers.

When I first found out about universal reconciliation, I was disturbed about the church not telling me about it, but then, after learning about church history, I realized the church really doesn't want you to know the truth in scripture because it would expose their method of operation which is systematized deception. After a while I came to understand that, even though we may wish that we had known the truth much earlier in life, God subjects us to the darkness so we can really appreciate the light when we see it. I also think we all came from circumstances that help us share the truth in special ways with those who have similar circumstances in their life now but have yet to realize the truth. People who have shared common experiences with those who are still deceived are the ones that can best help them come to know the truth. So we shouldn't be down on ourselves or anybody or anything that seems to be responsible for having kept us in the dark because now we know how to guide those still in the dark into the light! We don't always understand God's ways, but he's always got the best plan for us that works out in the long run. God is operating all according to his will, and nothing can change that. So I don't dwell on the past or even present failures due to my human error because I know it all causes me to rely on God who is the savior of all mankind.
