Hello Everybody,

I'm glad to be on the Tentmaker forums. The Site has given me a lot of hope in my gradual, years-long conversion to the Universalist Gospel. In order to spread the Gospel, I have written a brief, 37-page essay which makes 5 Biblical cases for Universalism. I would be highly appreciative for any feedback and constructive criticism. I also seek to learn new ideas from the forums themselves. The essay is attached in a Word doc below. Thank you all.

Brian:

I have a fair amount of experience at editing and literary criticism.  I'll take a look at your "brief" essay, and give you some general comments.  A closely-edited, proofread review will require me to send a hard copy back to you, with all my markings and scribbles.  I did the same for a friend's unpublished novel.  I think several people associated with Tentmaker are involved with essays and/or books.  I'm writing an essay on Hell (Hell is a 404) and a book on the Bride of Christ, titled "Chosen."

EDIT:  My full answer will probably be slow in coming, as my wife and I are in the middle of a move, and I spend hours of each day packing boxes.  Others will surely answer first, and that's OK with me.  I did skim the essay quickly and it looks very professional, well organized, and it's even copyrighted (good!).
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

Hi Brian,

I downloaded your essay and look forward to reading it.  I will let you know what I think, but probably can't promise a thorough and in depth analysis.  I'll be in touch.  Thanks for sharing!

Hi Brian, I have begun reading your essay. Perhaps if you have time you may want to read mine at www.hell-is-a-myth.webs.com , particularly the 3 entries "Hell is a Myth", "All in All", and "The Fire of God". They are relatively short. Then we can chat about our perceptions. In the meantime I will read your essay a couple times over the next couple days. Peace, John
