G'day All;
The forum has been, still is, encouraging to research and uplift in this age. Stimulates the thinking process and sorts out heaps of the rubbish that was imposed on us before the truth.
This learning is a continual process; the fact that God makes us grow is one major key.

Paul is the most observant fellow in the significance of being in one body, yet different in functions/abilities.Before this forum, the teachings and experiences of church life never emphasised these key points.

The freedom of the reality of Who Christ is, what He achieved, walking IN HIM, has been developed over the years of sifting out the false doctrines and the bondage of the law. The history properly explained balances out, and exposes, the deceitfulness of the flesh.

Paul's sharing about the flesh and the spirit, to me, emphasises the true spirit being essential. Christ is the only way.

1 Cor 2;15,16 " The spiritual person discerns all things, and is not himself subject to anyone's scrutiny. For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to advise Him? But we have the mind of Christ."

1 Cor 3;7 " But neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God is the One Who gives the growth."

1 Cor 3;20-22 " The Lord knows the reasoning of the wise, that they are futile. So then let no one boast with respect to men. For all things are yours,, whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or the present age, or the future- ALL are yours, and YOU ARE CHRIST'S, AND CHRIST IS GOD'S."

Romans 12;3-5 " For by the grace given to me I say to everyone who is among you that he should not think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but with sober judgment, as God has assigned to each a measure of faith. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not have the same function, so we who are many are one body in Christ, and individually members who belong to one another having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us."

Eph 4;4-7 " There is one body, and one spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, Who is above all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ."

Eph 4;13-16 " Until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature adulthood, to the measure of the whole duration of life of the entire content of Christ, so that we can no longer be children, tossed to and fro and blown about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful scheming, BUT SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE, may grow up IN EVERY WAY INTO HIM WHO IS THE HEAD, CHRIST, from Whom the whole body, joined and brought together by every SUPPORTING ligament, according to the walking of EACH INDIVIDUAL part, MAKES THE WHOLE BODY GROW so that it builds itself up in love."

Eph 4;;24 " And put on the new self, created in God's likeness, in the righteousness and holiness that comes from the truth."

Phil 3;20,21 " For our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we eagerly await the Lord Jesus Christ, Who WILL transform our lowly bodies into the likeness of His glorious body, by the power that is able to subject all things to Himself."

No wonder the gospel is GOOD news.
The things to come outweighing the present.
FROM glory TO glory He IS changing us.
Things just seem to keep getter better regardless of the increasing quantity of man's attempts.

Behold what manner of love the Father has GIVEN to us- that we shall be called the sons of God.

To me, this means that we all have gifts. We have all been made, put here, and chosen for God's good and perfect purpose for us.

We are to respect each other, in Love and in Christ, and know that we are all valued and loved in God's Kingdom. In other words, God doesn't make mistakes.

And, yes, we are all being transformed, into whom He created us to be, in His image and likeness. And, in that, we are free....free from the chains of sin and this fallen world....free to be who we were created to be. We will still suffer.....but we will have the peace that surpasses all understanding and see the world through His eyes.....which makes all the difference.

6For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

I think this verse is another good support for UR. God began a good work in us when he knew us, through eternity, and before time. And, He fashioned us in our mother's womb. He will not forget us.

Great idea and verses, Ross. Thanks.

Beautiful truth.
Paul was the chief of sinners- had all the legal rights of position, knew all the prophecies and laws, yet he had acted in unbelief.
He said he was known while in his mother's womb, yet was not converted till later in life.

Interesting how the tomb of Christ revealed the head separate from the body. Christ being the head, us being the body. All raised together. Awesome.

Amen Ross!

Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. 16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. 17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. 18 And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; 15 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.
