Yes, you're right...Psalms and Proverbs included..hmm, I've always found the print and quality of the Modern Young's to be excellent.   :mshrug:  Have probably owned 4 or 5 of them.

At their website, the Modern Young's is said to have the words re-arranged to reflect "modern tastes," they say "modern usage."  I don't think that's a good idea.  Part of Young's original work is to reflect the word order of the Greek and Hebrew Scripture itself.  I did use Young's more some years ago.  I'd love to have an edition combined in one volume with his Concise Commentary (about the same size as his Bible) that's Smythe sewn Bible paper with gilt edges.  His commentary really hits the high spots.

Personally I think if you are going for modern because of, suprise, more modern laguage TCB may be better to spend your cash on (or PM me).
TCB reads like everyday very modern English. Print quality is perfect. I once intended to buy the Modern Young but I decided not to do so because some editions have real bad/tiny print.
I already fell in that trap once before with the Bullinger Bible. Very vague letters. I binned it because of that.

But yes, The Christian Bible is a very interesting translation.

It's quite a while ago I looked for it but from memory:
MYLT had many reprints in it's past. Done by different ublishers. Purely going on the Amazon reviews certain publishers did  a very bad job quality wise. Grey instead of black letters and/or tiny print. You just may have be lucky to have a copy from another publisher.

You gave out good and accurate information concerning the emphatic diaglott and the JW's. Back when I was ET, I was a missionary to the JW's and ran a support group for members that had gotten out (or thrown out) or had friends or family members still in.
Some people do not know that when originally translated, the emphatic diaglott assumed the greek spoken was "high" or formal greek. Turns out that koine is "low greek" or "street greek. This affects the translation because street language is quite different than "the kings english" so to speak. In our english language this is readily apparent. When a teacher says you've been "bad" they aren't complementing you on how cool (there's another one) you are. If you really are fat, you really aren't phat. Riding a motorcycle is toolin a hog, - and so on. You can be cool and hot at the same time. The four following phrases are totally different but all mean the same thing (off on up down) "What's up? What's going down? What's going on? What's coming off?)

You already know the New World translation is biased toward Jesus being a created being and human, "the man Jesus is dead, forever dead" so I won't go into the many translational errors with that one. Since JW's wouldn't listen to or read any literature I offered them (It was called "spiritual pornography") I used the New World translation(Couldn't call their own translation wrong - but thats why they are discouraged from reading it) to point out the the inconsistencies and errors in the translation.
