there is a topic that makes me think very much today.I have read a lot of comments but decided to ask you.

My questions is from Judges book.

Judges 9:1-57
you can read these episodes but I would like to draw attention to a few verses.

9:20-25
But if not, let fire come out from Abimelech, and devour the men of Shechem, and the house of Millo; and let fire come out from the men of Shechem, and from the house of Millo, and devour Abimelech.

21 And Jotham ran away, and fled, and went to Beer, and dwelt there, for fear of Abimelech his brother.

22 When Abimelech had reigned three years over Israel,

23 Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech:

24 That the cruelty done to the threescore and ten sons of Jerubbaal might come, and their blood be laid upon Abimelech their brother, which slew them; and upon the men of Shechem, which aided him in the killing of his brethren.
25 And the men of Shechem set liers in wait for him in the top of the mountains, and they robbed all that came along that way by them: and it was told Abimelech.

and 9:49 And all the people likewise cut down every man his bough, and they followed Abimelech, and put [them] to the hold, and burned the hold with fire upon them. And all the men of the tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women.

and 9:57  And all the evil of the men of Shechem did God render upon their heads: and upon them came the curse of Jotham the son of Jerubbaal.

questions,

does god still put disputes on people?
is god directing people to the rebellion?  (and with other verses ' provoke' )
does god fulfill the curse of those who curse?
does God take revenge for our sins ?

and why does god approve the slaughter of innocent people to punish one?

sheila

Abimelech was settingup Cannanite Baal worship..and attempted torule as king in the city. the kingdom often was taken by force/violence.

since it was God's purpose toset up the nation of Israel as a peculair possesion...to represent our true heavenly promised land.

we see the'wrestling' for power betweengood/evil kings/leaders.  Goddid intervene attimes...because He uses these 'acts' ondisplay

through these people to teach us;He uses both positive andnegative.

But since Jesus said 'My kingdom is not of this world" as the Prince of peace...and set His heart toreconcile the two[good/evil in

everyman]...and display for all tosee....that God does justify those who while in the flesh played roles of dishonourable roles[justify

the wicked]through Him...as they will also bear the incorruptible image.

The Commander of the Lord's army..had aforetime told that he was neither for or againsteither side..but served Heaven when asked

which side he was 'for'.

sinceJesus kingdom is no part of this world..His armies did not fight so He would not be delivered up...thus...we wrestle not flesh and

blood,as in the day's of nationalIsrael...with violent men taking it by force. :2c:

sheila

when God has called a personfor a specific role...as the kingsofIsraelwere...you must stay in your assigned role.He is exhibiting

Hisjustice/righteousness..and other parts of His character through them...as a light unto the nations...andablessing to show them a

superior way.[see Queen of Sheba"s visit]

when the righteous oneruled[God by His spirit in a particular king] the people rejoiced...but when the wicked oneruled..the people

hidthemselves....fleefrom the oppression/persucution/tyranny. Law covenant of blessings andcurses associated withdisobedience

untoHim. though in fleshly Israel we see this struggle of good/evilmix..it willnotbe so in the spiritual kingdom/HEAVEN. :2c:

Thank you my sister :HeartThrob:

What I do not understand is,

How many times did God bring people to the point of suicide?

Ahab,  Abimelech , judas ...

he just wasted a lot of people to get revenge or help someone else. (especially for David)

often even innocent people suffering in punishment for the accused.

He causing other people to commit sin to  punishments.

Yes. Jesus said, "I did not come to judge. I came to people have plenty of life... "
but After to heaven had risen, punishments and judgments continued to come. (and will continue )

Ananias and sapphira, Elymas, king herod,  jezebel and her Kids...

it may be a punishment of course when the crime is really committed but what is it to drag people to suicide?
what is it to give people the same punish they did? 'ruthless revenge'

does God still want to burn us because of us bad guide to people?
(verse 30-57)

Why is he make to people crash each other?
Why does he encourage people to rebel?

james says he does not provoke but many verses deny that promise!

Maybe, He is responsible for the conflict between us and the people in our lives.
Maybe, He is responsible for all the our pains.

he already has a responsibility because of allowing everything.but dragging people directly into suffering, gives them evil spirits and put them into depression ...
No have a mercy.

non-universal people often say when they see bad verses,

" God directs history
God guides people's hearts ( there are such verses)
He makes to people bad things to accomplish its goal. (!!)

God will waste the evil people to protect the right people, and already their end will be eternal punishment. "

But never they say,  "If God can badly move people like puppets,he should do the same to make people better and save them. "

they believe that God's power and wisdom only work to evil.

I am sorry but I hate such a person!

maybe they are really right and really there are verses (because of these verses, my relationship with god is corrupted)
but how can they think that it is right and merciful?

I don't feel well at all.

I am so sorry you are upset with God  ,  God loves you honey more than you know and is fond of you , and God is suffering with you  , you are never alone  .
You feel all alone in your pain .

If you are given the chance to see the Shack , I hope you do  , it is a wonderful movie  and have seen it 3 times and  cried every time  ,   you see Mac was mad at God too  , he hated all the evil   , not God after all   .
But when you can see though the eyes of Love  and not pain  , than you can be healed  , but it takes time

The Holy Spirit must do this work in us that hurts so badly  though all the pain , but heals  us and are far better off  in the end
Jesus is the reward  !!

Amen!

I'm sorry to make you sad my sister.

I heard shack movie. I want to watch.

I thought all night of the verses that God did evil. I thought about god who caused to commit suicide.

whereas a few days ago, I was thinking what kind of favor I would do for him.

what happened? I can not understand.Maybe my love is two-faced.

I can not believe I was being trained to be a daughter for his because not everyone is a child, and everyone is suffering a lot even when they are not being trained.

Obviously I have committed very heavy sins and God is revenge me too.

God forgive me if I think wrong.
Maybe he encourages me to commit suicide.
I can not bear to think that God is unjust and discriminatory and bad. (verses there)

I am filled with sorrow because I think of bad things about god.

this time I apologize to him. maybe  not for  I love him for fear of him wrath.

Thank you for everything.
