I read this, but now have lost the tab and can't remember where!

Quote
The blindfold represents objectivity, in that justice is or should be meted out objectively, without fear or favor, regardless of money, wealth, power, or identity; blind justice and impartiality.
In her left hand, Lady Justice holds balance scales, which represent the weighing of evidence. When taken with the blindfold, the symbolism is that evidence must be weighed on its own merit.
In her right hand, Lady Justice is seen to have a sword that faces downwards. This sword represents punishment. This sword is held below the scales to show that evidence and court is always held before punishment.

This "court before punishment" is a reason why it just doesn't seem accurate to think of the second resurrection in Revelation chapter 20 (of those not yet saved when they die) as being merely an instantaneous "casting them into the LOF" (even for correction and "curtailing") seems oddly cold and lifeless.. or that is, to me, just doesn't ring true, but is how it seems portrayed by the ET doctrine.

I never knew the symbolism of the sword in the statue Lady Justice before.

Aren't those in Rev 20 the same as the sheep and goats?
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

I believe the atonememt was the judgement...the Lord's lot and the Azazel's lot........the mercy over judgement at the throne[HOH]

Aren't those in Rev 20 the same as the sheep and goats?

In a way!(?)

I think He separates the sheep and the goats at His return.. which surely(?) is the same as the wheat and tares at His return.. which I believe is the catching away and armageddon as occurring together.. the tares having been gathered to Armageddon (Rev 16:14,15,16) and the wheat caught away 'to His barn'.

And I've come to strongly believe - though of course it is mere speculation - that because Jesus' first advent fulfilled (so perfectly) the ancient Spring holy days, that His long 2nd advent will fulfill the original Fall holy days, with their specific spacing being 'a hundred years for a day' since the days between the feast of Trumpets and Day of Atonement is "10 days" and the millennium of Jesus is "1000 years".

This brings up the question of how much time between the time of the 2nd resurrection, and what we could call "Tabernacles" when Yhvh, the Father says He will now tabernacle with mankind upon Earth made new, and 1 Corinthians 15 tells us He will be "all in all".

In the yearly calendar, there's five days of course, between Day Of Atonement and Tabernacles..

So if the Feast of Trumpets prophesies His returning, and Feast of Tabernacles (15 days later) prophecies the vivication of "all things in heaven and earth" so that God the Father is all in all, that leaves Day Of Atonement as prophesying 'Day' of Judgment (10 days after Trumpets and 5 days before Tabernacles). Prophesying a gap of 500 years between Day of Atonement/Judgment 'day' and Tabernacles/"all in all" Day.

So to my thinking either the lake of fire is simply God's purifying (convincing/convicting) power as river of life.. which occurs to all of the 2nd resurrection during that long 'day'.. or it occurs towards the end of that day, "for the devil and his angels" and any still stubborn human hardcases(?)

:dontknow: It just seems reasonable to me that most folks waking up from death (or being held somewhere all together for hundreds of years or more in an alive state of death as the theory goes) I'm just thinking who's not going to "believe"? And isn't that what it takes to have ones' name written in the Book of Life? I think for most, coming to the faith won't be any more traumatic than for all of us who have been allowed to believe before death.. Now if you're Stalin or someone like, I can't help thinking they will likely experience a bit more "outer darkness", "weeping and gnashing of teeth" and even torment, than the average Joe, getting to a change of mind/repentance. Convinced of the Truth! (But no problem for our God who is a consuming/purifying fire.. )
