The problem is past names you have called me over our disagreements and is why you are a hypocrit.   I posted that the bombing of Japan were justified based upon the times and situations NOT hindsight.   I do not care if you disagree with me, but you decide that when you think you are right it is ok for you to make accusations while whining that someone does that to you.

Because whether you like it or not,  if they had the means that's exactly what they would do. So rather than see the problem as a whole based upon articles other people have written, you simply will point to an article that explains what the palestinians "really" meant by such a comment.   Right.

we have seen with our own eyes the little children been shot through their hearts by Israeli snipers...what kind of animal puts the crosshairs of his gun over the heart of a little child and pulls the trigger?

we have seen these depraved people killing ambulance drivers and medical personnel

we have heard the evidence from judge Goldstone (go check his credentials) and compare them to the the murderers

we have seen how your depraved cronies blew up schools, churches (yes, Christian ones), mosques, hospitals, universities, power plants, sewerage plants, olive groves etc etc etc destruction destruction destruction

You mean more so than the New York Times?  I like the foreign newspapers because they often will report things our own newspapers will not.  I thought it was interesting that the UN is now resorting to putting on plays to get through to the Israeli's on why they should not bomb a UN warehouse holding relief supplies for a million refugees, not to mention using white phosophorus which is a war crime.

Even the Russian press is better than ours nowadays.  I have seen Russian tv news [on youtube] report on stories that I had first hand knowledge of that our own press didn't even mention.

I would guess that Noname sees a lot of news that we never see.

Ban Ki-moon, the United Nations secretary general, has demanded that Israeli troops are held 'accountable' for an attack on a UN compound in Gaza.

Standing in front of the UN compound during a visit to the shattered Palestinian territory, a visibly angry Mr Ban said that he was "heartbroken" by the devastation he witnessed and appalled by the Israeli attack on the UN facility.

"It is an outrageous and totally unacceptable attack on the United Nations," Mr Ban said, the warehouse still smouldering behind him.

"There must be a full investigation, a full explanation to make sure it never happens again. There should be accountability through a proper judiciary system.

"I have protested many times. I am today protesting again in the strongest terms. I have asked [for a] full investigation and [to] make those responsible people accountable."

Israel has claimed it attacked the coumpound because militants were firing rockets from inside. The claim was dismissed as "nonsense" by John Ging, the chief UN official in Gaza.

The compound was hit on Jan 15 by three shells containing white phosphorus, an agent used to create a smoke screen but which burns skin on contact. The resulting fire burnt aid supplies awaiting distribution.

The controversial substance is banned from use in any built-up civilian area under the conventions of war. The smoke it produces cannot be put out with water and UN staff at the Gaza City facility did not have the sand required to quell the blaze.

Mr Ban used the ceasefire begun by Israel unilaterally on Sunday and then accepted by Gaza's Hamas rulers to become the first world leader to visit the Gaza Strip for several years.

He spent just a few hours inside Gaza and after witnessing for himself the extent of some of the Israeli attacks during Operation Cast Lead he criticised Israel for using excessive force.

"I have seen only a fraction of the destruction," he said. "This is shocking and alarming.

"These are heartbreaking scenes I have seen and I am deeply grieved by what I have seen today."

also, the internet is full of credible news sites...I normally watch/read a few to "find the truth somewhere inbetween"...as some channels would be biased towards a certain part of the world/religion/ethnicity etc...I guess its like religious teachings as well, one need to "learn to discern" :thumbsup:

wow lol.  I didn't mean it quite that way.  I was more thinking that because you are in another country, your news is not so heavily censored as ours.    Our news is so bland that I have friends who use it to go to sleep. As for the papers, forget it.  They are dead letters.

Yes, I noticed it.  You really have to do what noname does--and learn to discern.  But if you cover a variety of news sources internationally, you will get a lot more truth than is given to you on NBC[GE].

Also, even in our own news, reporters will sneak things in here and there, so you have to pay attention because you will never see them reported again.  We have one commentator now, Glenn Beck on FOX news, who is reporting things that I have never seen before.  But, he claims he's getting daily death threats lol.

it wasn't always like that...back in the apartheid days the government also fed us with what they thought we should know, and obviously it was a very skewed picture...that's why I can understand that Israelis and Americans are apathetic to what's really going on in the ME...you get a very distorted one-dimensional picture of what life is like outside your countries...and the way other nations and states are portrayed...if its about Africa you'd only ever see the pictures of malnourished children with flies around their eyes...and according to the western media all Arabs and Muslims are running around with AK 47s in their backpockets

There was just a program on "The History Channel," carried on cable and satellite.  I've been distressed how untrue and antichristian their stuff is.  Now, near Holloween they had a segment in a series called, "Underground Cities," about what is underneath specific cities, and a city in Romania was visited for an hour.  It was about Vlad Dracul, who is regarded as a national hero there.  This program never mentioned who it was that Vlad was fighting, making it seem he was just a cruel ruler over his own people.  Never in the whole show were the Moslems mentioned.  They mentioned his Father was buried alive and his brother killed, but not who did it.  They never mentioned that when Vlad was a teenager, along with his mother and sister, they were chained to trees where they could see each other and the Moslem army raped them for days, killing his mother and sister.  He survived.  He had a brother, half-brother, or the like (from memory, my books are mostly unpacked) that became a lover of a leader of the Moslem army and worked for him in communicating with Vlad.  Well, anyway, none of this found its way into the program.  Why no Moslem reference when he was responsible for turning back what had been an ongoing invasion that would've resulting in virtually slavery for the Romanians?  Your explanation is a conjectural as mine, though God does shine light on things.

A couple of years ago "Public Television" in the USA created something like a ten hour series, "From Jesus to the Christ" or "From Jesus to God" (I think it was the former) wherein the more extreme unbelieving personages littering Academic theology were the talking heads.  The whole thing was calculated to teach that this Israelite radical from the Judean hills, a rabbi and healer was transformed over 500 years into God.  This was in order to validate the growing religious bureachracy that was increasingly oppressing people.

These things are not only disturbing, but there seems to be negligible rebuttal.  There is so little effective apologetic answering the radicalizing of non-issues or the rewriting of history.  What WhiteWings says of his own land seems to be the sort of thing media is pushing here:  "Speaking up for Christianity means your are braindead. Speaking against islam means you are neo-nazi."
