All I am doing, is asking people to clarify what it is exactly that they believe.

But, more than that---our bodies are incredible healing machines--and there are many who have experienced supernatural healing, as well, [for which cause I called upon Cardinal].  I think we are too quick to assume death and decay of our physical bodies is our lot.

It was that if we keep walking in obedience to Him and He keeps healing/restoring our body, then what can kill us? Think about it. Blessings.....

What is wrong with death? It is the doorway to life.

Further, while yes, God CAN heal if he so chooses.
But this is not the point of this life.

Afflictions bring us closer to Him.

Those who are not healed, are NOT lacking.
I'm not saying that anyone here is saying that.
But it IS what some DO say. And I feel that is a dangerous teaching.

Maybe it's still my influence from mainstream (or maybe I'm right anyway  :happygrin:).  There may be other spiritual applications/layers somehow, but I think this scripture "Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed." (1 Corinthians 15:50-52)."   is describing Jesus' physical return, when we are literally in His physical prescence...you know, the Great White Throne Judgment, the beginnings of the next Age, eventually leading up to God being All in All...that believers living at that time will not sleep...they will be resurrected into immortality without tasting of death - perhaps the only group that "it is appointed unto man once to die" doesn't really apply to.  IMO, striving to "be good enough/holy enough, etc." to earn immortality without either physically dying or being in the "last trumpet sounding" group, well, I'll just say, I'm not so sure about.

That's just how I see it right now.  Maybe I'll see something further later.

Jesus physically died.  He "gave up the ghost".  His spirit left his mortal flesh and went to be with His Father.  I understand His destroying death as doing so in many ways spiritually, and ultimately in the flesh, due to the resurrecton into immortality.  After physically dying (unless in the "last trump" group).

So dear BServ.  My time on this thread for now is short, as I refuse to argue (much  :bigGrin:).  I've said what I see for now.  People are free to believe what they believe.  God teaches us all.  

Just a quick note before I go friend.  Do you believe this physical body will never stop working;  that you will never stop breathing and your spirit will "return to God Who gave it"?  Clarifying as the discussion continues (and anyone else as well).  Thanks.

P.S.  Further clarifying my own beliefs.  I do believe in "living holy" as He empowers us to be able to be obedient, as He gives us the faith to believe.  I also believe part of that is living thankfully, and taking good care of these tents of flesh He has chosen within which to dwell - and that He does heal in a million ways, including miraculously as suits His will.  I just think this body's mortal, and as Paul said, that to be absent from this body is to be present with Christ.

Yes, absolutely.  What do you think that means?  And that's the clock's ringing midnight?

If I responded to those 2 statements, I would say a "living covenant" would mean we are spiritually made alive in Christ, and that He will resurrect us to immortality.  Secondly, that the clock may be ringing midnight, and if so, there will in fact be some living now who are immediately raised to immortality at His physical presence.  Are you thinking something else/further than that?
