Yeah, the Holy Spirit told me the exact same thing.  I'd wandered off after having seen this post to reread the passage, since I've been emersed in other Scripture right now, and was only coming back to say basically what Cardinal said.  Ask Him to let us, and seek Him on why He's told us not to.

sorry I have not done a study in this for 20 years, and I am trying to finish my deck on the house in between the email alerts

Same, but I'll say it outloud.   I am not to enable someones self gratification anymore, I must obey.

everyone,

Its Ok if you don't know. Many misinterpret this parable. Relax. BTW, the Holy Spirit does not tell anyone to withhold teaching of His word if you have the right revelation.

I'll "fourth" this...

Why not START with YOUR OWN "interpretation or commentary" Lee100?  :dontknow:

What "I'd like to see" is YOU posting what YOU THINK this passage says, "Mr. Knowledge", and PLEASE, ...DO NOT STEAL or borrow anothers thoughts, rather TRUTHFULLY, convey YOUR OWN vision for a change!  (That is if you have a "vision"  to "convey"  :laughing7:)

Let's see whatcha got!  :dontknow:  (however, I'm guessing, the "ususal" --> NOTHING!)

willie,

I plan too. Btw, most of my posts are my own except for a few commentaries which are excellent teachings. I couldn't of said it better myself. I welcome you to participate with your revelation of my posts today.

:cloud9: Think so?

Cardinal,

Well done. But the apostles were not yet born again. Jesus knew this. That is why he told them that. They were still a natural man without the Spirit.

Reread Acts 'cause St. Paul was forbidden from sharing the Word in Asia, He was forbidden by the Holy Spirit from going into meat of the Word with the Corinthian Church in 1Corinthians, and there's places all over the New Testament where if they're not ready for it, then you simply don't go there, if and only if He tells you not to.  And I've thus far consistently been kept by Him from sharing meat the whole time I've been at the boards this decade, sans the year or two when Gary took a Sabbatical from having boards on Tentmaker.  UR and God's Sovereignty issues is all milk, but apparently something I'd blurt out about this at this time is likely meat.  Those have been the only reasons He's ever enumerated to me when I've waited on Him long enough for why the Spirit of Jesus has forbade me.  That, or, He's wanted someone to get something else first that's foundational and a missing piece in their understanding before they could even begin to understand milk I'd share about something else.  He knows where He's at with each person.  I'm likely waiting on some type of Macedonian call instead, in this instance, and either have to reply elsewhere here or to something on facebook or am only to spend time with someone else, family member, or whatever. God's got the biggest crush on me!

He's convinced me this year that every detail of my life was orchestrated by Him, second by second 'cause He's just explained every second I've ever lived this summer, even my weaknesses as having been Him all of this time so that only He could have the glory as He's finally brought me to my Garden of Eden in this life.  So, if nothing else, He's too busy enjoying my worship to allow me off of the leash to fuss with you or anyone, only to have you become accountable for what I'd share 'cause of this season I'm in where all of the Books are being opened on my life and He's judging me right now according to all of the things contained therein and is repeatedly saying "This is My beloved son, in whom I'm well pleased!"  My whole year, this year, has been incessant, nonstop Jeremiah 33:9 where I've been fearing and trembling at all of His goodness and prosperity that He's been giving me.  Everything in my life was type/shadow for where He's taking me RIGHT NOW.  Every detail of my life has pointed to where I'm at right now in my life, and He evidently doesn't have time right now for someone He's resisting, as is the case with you, Lee100.  I am praying for you, though, as I enjoy the cool of the day with my walks with Him and the Crown of righteousness He's been crowning me with.

willie,

I plan too.

:Yeahright:  All talk and NO SUBSTANCE...

"I plan to win the lotto too!"  :laughing7:  But the odds are as long for that "plan" as the one which you propose above...

You begin your INEPT post with this arrogance:

QuoteC'mon guys surprise me with your knowledge.

As if anyone is concerned with "impressing" you!   And without notation of ANY sort of understanding you, expect others to bow down to that nothingness...

Get a clue dude.  Try posting your own words once in a while, and stand by THEM, instead of HIDING in the SHADOWING LIES of another...  :sigh:

FIRST -- all the sources you have noted in your posts, consist of common Othodox/BABYLONIAN foolishness, so if you can't "do better", then you might try YOUR OWN, studying and praying...

SECOND -- I don't have "revelation" on anything... only what GOD reveals of HIS KNOWLEDGE... do I share with others...

TRY answering my reply #4  here:

(As if you could! :rolleye:)

And then I might consider giving you a reply on this subject... Then again, I might not, seeing as you have IGNORED many of my questions of you, along with you clinging to these other fools and their fallacies, ..which only adds up to your "KNOWING" pretty much ...NOTHING!

You should be telling us if you are personally needing something specific concerning this parable which will assist your Christian walk.
Otherwise, I suggest that you visit your local Christian bookstore rather than asking someone in here to cut/paste from any number of available Bible Commentaries out there.

Lee:  While it is true that I found myself agreeing with some of the ideas which you have represented in here, to tell you the truth, it's now getting to be a tiresome read for most of us.
Sometimes it can be a risky thing to be asking people to help load the gun which you will soon be pointing at them.
This Forum is named "TentMakers" and not "TentDebaters". Most visit here to quietly and politely share their thoughts and blessings with one another; but it seems that you prefer to play the Christian equivalent of "Is that your Final Answer?".
I myself do not subscribe to the views of UR. But neither can I subscribe to the increasing sentiment of scorn and abuse which your Posts hold.
In a word, Lee: you should tone your attitude down. It's beginning to show you as wearing tattered garments and risking declaring yourself as entirely naked.

lee100

Gilbert,

Good word. Thank you. Willie is to arrogant to realize that I don't go down his rabbit trails. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who sees his abusive scornful behavior toward people that have other views. Also, glad to see that you do not bow to UR.

Do you have any clue to who Gilbert adressed his reply  :laughing7:

John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

Lee:
About Willie.
This character has been hangin' round here for what seems eternity. He hasn't changed his Posting etiquette much over the years. He is a harmless kind o'l soul.
It's not for nothing that Willie believes in UR. After all, the abbreviation also represents his desperate desire to be a "Universal R-tist".
The Gospel of GreyMatter says:
"In the beginning there were avatars and smileys which corrupted the heavenly glee of Willie. During the Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth days, Willie repented not. Instead, Willie stubbornly found every lame excuse to have his words jiggle an' giggle in a most childish manner. On the Seventh day, everyone resigned themselves to Willie's  childish ways. The next morning was the Eighth day. On the Eighth day, Willie rose from out of his darkness clutching a box of Crayola crayons and entered into heaven to draw the multi-colored rainbows which humankind enjoys to this day."
