Yeah, the Holy Spirit told me the exact same thing.  I'd wandered off after having seen this post to reread the passage, since I've been emersed in other Scripture right now, and was only coming back to say basically what Cardinal said.  Ask Him to let us, and seek Him on why He's told us not to.

Same, but I'll say it outloud.   I am not to enable someones self gratification anymore, I must obey.

everyone,

Its Ok if you don't know. Many misinterpret this parable. Relax. BTW, the Holy Spirit does not tell anyone to withhold teaching of His word if you have the right revelation.

I'll "fourth" this...

Why not START with YOUR OWN "interpretation or commentary" Lee100?  :dontknow:

What "I'd like to see" is YOU posting what YOU THINK this passage says, "Mr. Knowledge", and PLEASE, ...DO NOT STEAL or borrow anothers thoughts, rather TRUTHFULLY, convey YOUR OWN vision for a change!  (That is if you have a "vision"  to "convey"  :laughing7:)

Let's see whatcha got!  :dontknow:  (however, I'm guessing, the "ususal" --> NOTHING!)

Cardinal,

Well done. But the apostles were not yet born again. Jesus knew this. That is why he told them that. They were still a natural man without the Spirit.

Reread Acts 'cause St. Paul was forbidden from sharing the Word in Asia, He was forbidden by the Holy Spirit from going into meat of the Word with the Corinthian Church in 1Corinthians, and there's places all over the New Testament where if they're not ready for it, then you simply don't go there, if and only if He tells you not to.  And I've thus far consistently been kept by Him from sharing meat the whole time I've been at the boards this decade, sans the year or two when Gary took a Sabbatical from having boards on Tentmaker.  UR and God's Sovereignty issues is all milk, but apparently something I'd blurt out about this at this time is likely meat.  Those have been the only reasons He's ever enumerated to me when I've waited on Him long enough for why the Spirit of Jesus has forbade me.  That, or, He's wanted someone to get something else first that's foundational and a missing piece in their understanding before they could even begin to understand milk I'd share about something else.  He knows where He's at with each person.  I'm likely waiting on some type of Macedonian call instead, in this instance, and either have to reply elsewhere here or to something on facebook or am only to spend time with someone else, family member, or whatever. God's got the biggest crush on me!

He's convinced me this year that every detail of my life was orchestrated by Him, second by second 'cause He's just explained every second I've ever lived this summer, even my weaknesses as having been Him all of this time so that only He could have the glory as He's finally brought me to my Garden of Eden in this life.  So, if nothing else, He's too busy enjoying my worship to allow me off of the leash to fuss with you or anyone, only to have you become accountable for what I'd share 'cause of this season I'm in where all of the Books are being opened on my life and He's judging me right now according to all of the things contained therein and is repeatedly saying "This is My beloved son, in whom I'm well pleased!"  My whole year, this year, has been incessant, nonstop Jeremiah 33:9 where I've been fearing and trembling at all of His goodness and prosperity that He's been giving me.  Everything in my life was type/shadow for where He's taking me RIGHT NOW.  Every detail of my life has pointed to where I'm at right now in my life, and He evidently doesn't have time right now for someone He's resisting, as is the case with you, Lee100.  I am praying for you, though, as I enjoy the cool of the day with my walks with Him and the Crown of righteousness He's been crowning me with.

:Yeahright:  All talk and NO SUBSTANCE...

"I plan to win the lotto too!"  :laughing7:  But the odds are as long for that "plan" as the one which you propose above...

You begin your INEPT post with this arrogance:

QuoteC'mon guys surprise me with your knowledge.

As if anyone is concerned with "impressing" you!   And without notation of ANY sort of understanding you, expect others to bow down to that nothingness...

Get a clue dude.  Try posting your own words once in a while, and stand by THEM, instead of HIDING in the SHADOWING LIES of another...  :sigh:

FIRST -- all the sources you have noted in your posts, consist of common Othodox/BABYLONIAN foolishness, so if you can't "do better", then you might try YOUR OWN, studying and praying...

SECOND -- I don't have "revelation" on anything... only what GOD reveals of HIS KNOWLEDGE... do I share with others...

TRY answering my reply #4  here:

http://www.tentmaker.org/forum/index.php?topic=6665.msg73267#msg73267

(As if you could! :rolleye:)

And then I might consider giving you a reply on this subject... Then again, I might not, seeing as you have IGNORED many of my questions of you, along with you clinging to these other fools and their fallacies, ..which only adds up to your "KNOWING" pretty much ...NOTHING!

You should be telling us if you are personally needing something specific concerning this parable which will assist your Christian walk.
Otherwise, I suggest that you visit your local Christian bookstore rather than asking someone in here to cut/paste from any number of available Bible Commentaries out there.

Lee:  While it is true that I found myself agreeing with some of the ideas which you have represented in here, to tell you the truth, it's now getting to be a tiresome read for most of us.
Sometimes it can be a risky thing to be asking people to help load the gun which you will soon be pointing at them.
This Forum is named "TentMakers" and not "TentDebaters". Most visit here to quietly and politely share their thoughts and blessings with one another; but it seems that you prefer to play the Christian equivalent of "Is that your Final Answer?".
I myself do not subscribe to the views of UR. But neither can I subscribe to the increasing sentiment of scorn and abuse which your Posts hold.
In a word, Lee: you should tone your attitude down. It's beginning to show you as wearing tattered garments and risking declaring yourself as entirely naked.

About Willie.
This character has been hangin' round here for what seems eternity. He hasn't changed his Posting etiquette much over the years. He is a harmless kind o'l soul.
It's not for nothing that Willie believes in UR. After all, the abbreviation also represents his desperate desire to be a "Universal R-tist".
The Gospel of GreyMatter says:
"In the beginning there were avatars and smileys which corrupted the heavenly glee of Willie. During the Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth days, Willie repented not. Instead, Willie stubbornly found every lame excuse to have his words jiggle an' giggle in a most childish manner. On the Seventh day, everyone resigned themselves to Willie's  childish ways. The next morning was the Eighth day. On the Eighth day, Willie rose from out of his darkness clutching a box of Crayola crayons and entered into heaven to draw the multi-colored rainbows which humankind enjoys to this day."

I honestly did not intend to be rude.
I only meant to be humorous. Honestly.
I have known Willie for at least four years now; by 'know' I mean have enjoyed reading his Posts here. He plays with icons and smileys as if he was tuning the strings on his guitar; and he really is a guitar player off this Forum.
I hope Willie can see the humor.
All I intended was to joke about was his uncanny ability to find every-which-way to have his Posts jiggle an' giggle. Sometimes I find it irritating because it makes some of his Posts read like Braille.
But I would not want anyone to believe that I have any reason to dislike Willie in any personal way.

harmless or not..his posts are scornful and out of line. For you to say that I have been abusive is laughable. The only abuse I have given has been to many threads for which I apologize to everyone on this forum. My intentions were not to high jack this forum, but to give what I believe to be the truth of God's word. I do not know everything, nor do I pretend to. I constantly learn something new everyday. Again, I apologize to this forum for bombing it with to many threads.

Lee100,

Perhaps you started to many threads in a short while. Note I underlines "perhaps".
IMO there is nothing wrong starting (many) good threads.
But tell me honestly how many threads can you really follow. 1, 2, 5, 10? That's not an insult. There are only 24 hours in a day. And you spend 2 hours of that day on this forum. (just a guess) Then it gets hard to make those threads productive because you simply don't have enough time to make/keep those threads useful. And that's the problem what bothers many.
You said I was trying to lure you on a rabbit trail. Fine you are allowed to hate me. I find you highly irritating, arrogant too.
So we are even at that.
You can't expect people suddenly turn to your 'truth' because you just dumped a 'scripture bomb'.
I don't know how old you are but possibly several people on this forum where studying the Word before you where even born. Do you really think they overlooked all those verses you posted?
It's fine, chalanging, and good to drop a few scripture bombs. But then don't chicken out if people don't agree.
A reply like "Study verse.... until you get it" doesn't work either. People already studied those verses. And still don't agree.
In your opinion, you sure are allowed to have, we are all blinded/misguided/etc.
If your real intention is to show us the light your replies should have a format like: The verse means <...> because in verse <...> Jesus said <....> and the words He used are explained in verse <....>
Then you are trying to be a teacher. No guarantee people agree with you. But at least they look at you like "Lee studied seriously" (they may even learn a few things from you) instead now "Lee the troll"

How old are you Lee100?  I'm thinkin, 30's maybe 40's at most?  ...I'm 64, so there is little you can tell me about "behaviors" which I do not already know, or have experienced.  I don't have time to change your spiritual diapers...

UR is Biblical, you do not accept it because you have not been availed its vision even though it is right before you (as IS CHRIST before the JEWS) as the THREAD that binds the entire SCRIPTURE together, giving it PURPOSE... within its TRUTH

Ironically, ...as you note above, ...I AM a guitarist (40 yrs), what you might NOT KNOW, is that I recorded an album of original music (in 1997) naming the effort as done by "GREY MATTER"!

I have my way... it isn't perfect, which so happens to FIT IN with everyone else, seeing everyone else is IMPERFECT as well...

I like using EMOTICONS, because they illustrate and/or emphasize my thoughts... They are available to all... that others choose not to use them is not my concern.  Nor can my USE of them be considered NEGATIVELY or MISBEHAVIORAL... those are JUDGMENTS... which lee100 engages in order to defer and sidestep MANY of the Scripturally based points I make on his threads...

My posts are like "cable"... if you don't like "what's on" -- change the channel -- :rolleye:

TO lee100 --

Even though YOU  :btantrum: find my posts as "ABUSIVE, SCORNFUL, and ARROGANT", ...the FACT remains, that you continually FAIL to answer questions posed to you, as well as FAIL to refute, the MANY SCRIPTURAL notations which are IN OPPOSITION to YOU and your BABYLONIAN teachings...  :dontknow:

GOD is calling you to come OUT... will you? -- Rev 18:4

Probably not... for you shall continue to (falsely) think 2.5 BILLION "Christians" on the Earth is a number KNOWN as "FEW"... which have CALLED upon the NAME of the Lord... and are therefore SAVED -- Rom 10:13 ...which you ALSO fail to believe... concluding you to be of the "THOMAS" variety... (if I "see" I will BELIEVE)

Thinking within this INVALID proposition, that CHRIST's WORDS saying FAITH would be [literally] INVISIBLE upon His Return --  Luke 18:8 --  means that He is therefore, UNABLE to SEE in EXCESS of a THIRD of Earth's IMMENSE popluation???

This is just one example of the sorrowful emptiness contained in your (self-deceived, yet) perceived, "teaching" abilities you assert to "possess"...

willie,

I have responded to plenty of responses. Just not yours. Why? Because you reek of arrogance and pride and anything I would say would fall on deaf ears.

:Yeahright:  I have challenged you many times, ...both as COG37 and as now your new [pseudo] name -- LEE100.. Let's face it, COG-LEE you just ARE NOT ...UP to the challenges...  :mnah:

Anyone can AVOID their lack of reponsive knowledge with such an EXCUSE!

All this post contains from you, is more LAME excuses... :rolleye:

You are a GOSSIP lee100!   :pitiful:  UNrepentent as well!  --  :crywipe:

I will even go-ya one better... I forgive you for your BACKBITING of me...  :friendstu:

As far as DEAF EARS bro... your's are as "stopped up" as any I have ever encountered, except for maybe your "alter-ego" -- COG37...  :laughing7:

Let's see how able and WILLING you are to LIE... (you may be able to LIE to us, but you CANNOT LIE to God, and ALL shall be known -- do you wish to ADD to your JUDGMENT?  Guess WE SHALL SEE, now or later - eh?)

ADMIT (or DENY) it, ...YOU are in fact, the Tentmaker member:  ChosenOfGod37...  :dontknow:  :dontknow: :dontknow:

You've been given a unique opportunity from a mighty unique individual, do not let this moment pass, unless you would rather live with a lie?
