That they need not worry now. He will meet God and God will help him to heal whatever wound it was that made him want to kill himself. That it is normal to feel grief and loss and sadness and that much of that is sadness for our loss and not for the deceased.

An apparent suicide -- what would you tell his family and friends??

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090604/ap_on_en_ot/as_obit_carradine

I had to talk to a friend about someone he knew who committed suicide. I told him that the person had to be in great darkness to do such a thing yet God is deeper than even that kind of darkness.

Then I told him that most of us will never know that kind of darkness but God is light and light will prevail.

God does not stop working because of suicide.

I was shocked when I heard the circumstances in which they found the body and the probable suicide.  And I'm sure many other fans would be too.  So, I guess I should have included in my opening post "fans" with "family and friends" 'cause I'm sure there's a lot of people right now that this isn't even real for.  And of course, many mainstream Churches are going to say "oh-well, God's showing Him what real suffering is all about at this point, because he made his decision! He was suffering in his life and his suffering has only just begun!!"  But Jesus has still momentarily left the 99 sheep to find that 1 lost sheep.  And because of the Abrahamic Edenic Covenant that we've had for approximately 4,000 years, but definitely ever since Jesus was raised from the dead 2,000 years ago, God will dig him out of the pit UNQUESTIONABLY:

1Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.
2Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
3For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. (Isaiah 51:1-3)

I liked him too. I have all 3 seasons of the TV series on disc and watch them occasionally and find peace.

God knows. God knows.

                                                                                 ?
                                                                             "FANS"
                                                                                 ?

I despise the spirit of hollywood and all it entails, be it people, places or things.
The consumption, advertising, fashion, marketing, competition, the list goes on; but worst of all is its imitation of the Spirit.
Hollywood is deception at its finest. Most of the most successful products of "that place" have spiritual truths in them.
Reason being: That God's word has Life and Breath, no matter whom is expressing it.

Well, if Christians withdraw as salt and light, then what else could there be but unbelievers involved?  However, there's a really, really powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit that's been going on among Hollywood actors and others for nearly two decades.  It's slowly turning around, although obviously the ones with the most money and clout are still making the rules on what comes out, for the most part.  But it doesn't imitate the Spirit.  If it did, that would be a really good thing 'cause we're supposed to be imitators of God in Matthew 5, imitators of Christ in Matthew 7, Luke 6:40, and John 8, imitators of St. Paul in 1Corinthians 4, 1Corinthians 11, and Philemon 17, and again, imitators of God in Ephesians 5.  I'm just glad that God's saving work is progressing steadily in Hollywood, just as everywhere else, and that there is nowhere without a witness to the Lordship of Jesus, the power of His Blood, and the Gift of His Holy Spirit to change lives.

Beloved Servant

Sad???
Sad???
Let the dead bury the dead.
You are here to speak forth life.
Do you not yet know who you are?
Do you not yet know who you Father is?

Beloved Servant

What do you think death is, Martin?
                                                           Do you know?
                                                                               Is it eternal?
                                                                                                 Or, perhaps, temporary?
Is it on earth or under the earth.
                                                                                                 Is it physical or spiritual?
Or perhaps, Can it be either?
Are we alive, when dead in Christ?

                                                        Colossians 2 (King James Version)

20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,

21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;

22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

sparrow

Beloved Servant... I am really not understanding what you are saying.

Can you just put it into plain words why you think I shouldn't feel sadness?

I can't tell if you are saying something good or awful here..

so I'm asking for clarification..before I respond.

thank you..

Beloved Servant

Did you know him personally?
If not, than your sadness is displaced.
If you cry for his humanity, then cry for all that die.
His soul has merely left his earth. The spiritual, not the temporal, is now before him and all he has to wear.
Why mourn for what you have been taught?

Ok, still just needing to clarify what you're saying, because it could go one of two ways.
What do you mean by the bolded?

Beloved Servant

Let the dead bury the dead.
He is not gone, just gone on.

Gone where?

Am I driving you crazy yet?  I'm sorry. There are just so many beliefs out there. I don't know if you're saying "good riddance this heathen is finally going to eternal torture where he belongs" or something more along the lines of "He's going to where God is bringing him into the knowledge of truth..." or something similar that means that he is not lost forever and that God sees him as His beloved child and is ultimately reconciling him, etc.

sorry. I just have to have people's thoughts spelled out for me, sometimes so I can be sure I understand their point of view. that's all .... :JCThink:  :HeartThrob:
thanks for understanding..

Beloved Servant

Little Sparrow,
Read this:
I chose the Amplified for your behalf:
2 Corinthians 5 (Amplified Bible)
Please pray, devote your life to Christ.
Live for Him and not yourself.
Consider yourself dead.
Beheaded.

Beloved Servant.... I don't want you to quote bible verses.
The way I interpret it could be completely different.

Can't ya just answer my last question? That would make this really so much easier, friend..

I just wish Jesus had understood this when He was carnal enough to have wept at Lazarus's tomb.

I know, that was my point by the hateful comment, i.e., the purpose of the thread, besides what the Holy Spirit was showing me in the comments.

needed to clarify with "in the comments," in case anybody's quoting my post as I'm doing this.

Beloved Servant

Oh Sparrow,
How much longer must I be with you?
Gone where? You ask.
He has gone on to be with his God.
Where?
Your Father will not keep this from you.
The veil is rent.
You may go yourself.

But we have gone into the veil.  Doesn't mean we don't regard one another both in the flesh and in the Lord, according to Philemon 1:16, BECAUSE we ARE God's New Creation according to 2Corinthians 5:17.
