There are probiotic soaps for handwashing.  Gets you clean, but doesn't compromise good bacteria proportions of your body.

So did Pontius Pilate.

I agree Tesla is a genial band  :drummer:

John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

Martin, sorry to hear about your place burning down. Did you lose everything?
When I was one our house burned to the ground. It was in the middle of a cold winter in the country with 9 boys and 3 sisters. Of course I didn't really realize the gravity of the situation.

I didn't know they have probiotic soaps.
I always grimmace when I see commercials touting germ killing crap for toilets etc in the home. And they show a mother and daughter with the mother pusing down on the handle of the toilet to flush it with her foot in obvious horror that, God forbid!, there might be a germ running amock on that handle! O save us oh great corporations from these germs! And they tell us these products kill 99.9% of the germs. Only problem is that the ones not killed get stronger and stronger until there is no longer a defence against them.

People are like sheep. They so easily fall for these brain-washing commercials.

What's odd to me is that some stores that'll carry healthfood stuff have never heard of the probiotic soaps, but others will have quite a few.  Yeah, it was about 50/50 on stuff lost.  The books, including some UR stuff, particularly bothers me.  Don't have copies of Jeremiah White's Restoration of all things or James Riley's Union any more.  I lost the old beat up computer that I was still hanging on to because it had most of my artwork on it.  Genuinely wasn't sure if it had any malware on it with the way it would act sometimes, so that's why I didn't hook it up to this computer.  Losing the artwork, the only copy of MS Word that I had that worked, and my only copy of the song "When God Made You" are the only things that bothered me about losing that computer.  But as I was thinking about how to answer your post, I went to YouTube really quick to see if I could find some stuff that I'd lost.  And I found one of my favorite songs again that someones done a video for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izbzKArXvcI  And without having to pay for it again, I can probably download the song by itself somewhere at myspace.  I'd think of that song every once in a while and would be so chapped that I'd have to pay for a copy again if I wanted to hear it right now.  Not trying to be cheap, but after the fire, I've got a notebook of stuff in mind to get.

(http://d.yimg.com/b/util/anysize/200x-1209600,http%3A%2F%2Fd.yimg.com%2Fa%2Fp%2Fuc%2F20090326%2Flzi090326.gif%3Fx%3D201%26y%3D196%26q%3D85%26sig%3DLBmaj9ZR4PuBpUv4SpkM_Q--)

I've got a few midis that I need to rerecord for this computer.  Some clothes, one old jacket that I'm not going to say how much it cost, and about a couple thousand video tapes.  Basically, anything that wasn't in a protective covering from water was either trash or I was scrambling to get it to a washer as quickly as possible.  A surprising number of video tapes (mostly television stuff) did make it 'cause they were in a giant protective hard plastic tote.  Basically anything of me teaching the Word somewhere is completely gone.  I'm happy to have gotten out with my cat, my better computer, and a bit more stuff than you'd think.  Quite a bit.  But most furniture wasn't a good idea to try to bring over to the new place.  Computer desk is fine, thankfully.  My giant aloe was outside at the time, and in a spot where it wouldn't get overwatered by the firemen, so, it's over here taking in the sounds, some good carbon dioxide, etc.

I'm vegan, so unless anything was where the ceiling caved in, all of my food, even frig stuff, was still unquestionably good.  Finally, a lot of stuff that could have been saved wasn't because I just got too tired of carrying stuff over to the new place.  So, a lot of China and cookware in the drawer under the stove, etc., that theoretically could still be with me, was just abandoned.  What's funny is that the bedrooms were fine.  So, I brought a grand king sleep number bed over as well as a twin sized sleep number bed.  Living room, bathroom, laundry room, game room, some of the pantry, some storage closets, dining room, some of the kitchen, second living room, and a few other rooms were trashed out by mostly water.  It was mainly the exterior of the place, the patio, and the attick that were toast.  I heard crackling outside and wondered if it was sleeting/snowing.

Had a peak outside and thought "that's not cool!" got up and put my coat and shoes on, after having just posted something at these boards, and grabbed the lazy cat and stuffed him into his crate, and got out.  I grabbed a rather noisy cockatiel's cage as well, so all of us made it out.  I now have various sensors and a system in place that would enable me to put anything out in a matter of moments, even if a meteor hit this place.  Cat and bird are really really chatty, ordinarily, but neither said anything all night that night.  But for a month afterwards they screamed at all hours of the day and night in total trauma.  They [oddly enough] got really quiet the very evening that murdering both of them had crossed my mind.  They've been back to normal ever since.  Chatty, but not that screaming like they've been abandoned, are being murdered, are seeing a murder, are missing Smallville or Doctor Who, or whatever.  And they now know what sleep is.  But for the longest time, they were wailing like they were in the hands of Jonathan Edwards' angry god.

I'm just thankful.  Wish I'd done some things a bit differently now and had incorporated strategies then that I have now that had never occured to me before.  I was surprisingly naive about how to do an emergency evac of my own stuff.  I think I was mainly still in disbelief that it had happened when I was in my time of transition.  I wasn't expecting anything like that to ever happen, so... talk about being a sheep...

Spring is here and the ice cream shops are open. I've recently been buying small chocolate milk shakes and got to wondering if they have fructose corn syrup in them. I haven't bothered to call McD's or the local ice cream shop to find out. I really wanted one so I went to the store and found a brand of ice cream that didn't have any in it: Bryers natural.

Got some skim milk too.

Poured in the milk, some good globs of chocolate ice cream, some blueberries (frozen), and some nuts and blended it up. Mmmmmm good! I thought about adding some ketchup and mustard but then again I'm just kidding about that.

I bought some sloppy joe sauce in the can to mix with my buffalo burger meat. Man, I can't believe there was only one brand without the fructose corn syrup in it!

Ketchup, unless it's home made, is going to have high fructose corn syrup, or corn syrup, or some ingredient labels will likely say that it's got both.  Haven't ever looked over the Ketchup at the healthfood store, though.  Might not have a bunch of corn syrups in it.  Probably the same cost or more than getting your own tomatoes, perhaps a pinch of garlic powder, pinch of onion powder, and pinch of celery powder, and either a hint of red or white pepper mixed in if you like a pinch of something hot or semi-hot with it and tossing all of this either into a blender or a chopper.  If regular ketchup includes vinegar, then maybe experiment with using and not using it when making it.

Martin, I just went to McDonald's web site and my suspicions were confirmed concerning fructose:

"Chocolate Triple ThickĀ® Shake:
Vanilla Reduced Fat Ice Cream: Milk, sugar, cream, nonfat milk solids, corn syrup solids, mono- and diglycerides, guar gum, dextrose, sodium citrate, artificial vanilla flavor, sodium phosphate, carrageenan, disodium phosphate, cellulose gum, vitamin A palmitate.
CONTAINS: MILK.
Chocolate Syrup: High fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, water, cocoa (processed with alkali), natural (vegetable source) and artificial flavors, salt, potassium sorbate (preservative), vanillin (artificial flavor). May contain small amounts of other shake flavors served at the restaurant, including egg ingredients when Egg Nog Shakes are available. "

And from another web site on corn syrup solids I found this:

"Corn syrup, corn syrup solids, and high fructose corn syrup (as well as crystalline fructose) are all made from corn, and bottom line, all are sugar. So, first off, because they're sugar, my opinion is that they are all damaging to your health, just because sugar is so damaging.

"Each of these ingredients will give you cravings for more sugar, and foods that list high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, or fructose as one of their top 4 ingredients are overeating traps. These ingredients actually interfere with a hormone that tells your brain that you're full! Therefore, it's very common to overeat on foods that contain HFCS (or even the latter two)."

Trying to remember a decade ago, or nearly, before I was a vegan and trying to do this without gagging.  Almost willing to bet their burgers have this stuff as well.  I was eating big macs a couple at a time, minimum.  Perhaps hidden as "natural flavoring" since the usage of that term isn't really regulated.  Could be the excitotoxin msg or it could be sugar or it could be shaving cream if somebody were ornery enough. :laughing7:

I'm glad there's finally some articles out on it.  I've been off of that trash for a while and even did some fasting at the time to totally cleanse my body from it and restore insulin sensitivity that might have been lost with that trash.  Stevia and agave nectar are better sweeteners and an alternative to regular soda that's better than sex zevia.com  There are cheaper versions of this kind of soda out there, once you know what you're looking for.  But not having tried them, I don't know what they taste like.

Cool! Thanks Martin!

natural flavoring/s is often a pseudonym for MSG. There's a whole list of stuff at mercola of names that hide MSG on labels. Trouble is, some of them could be MSG, but aren't necessarily.

You guys still don't get, you can't control everything, because a healthy man can still die of cancer or hit by a car, no matter how careful you are, you still 100% risk to everything outside the world, even paper can kill you, even fluffy doll can kill you, a man who smoke too much last longer than a man who don't smoke

I have a feeling that God is the one in control of everything, this is why it's their time to die, not other until later, that's how God operation his salvation plan.

But that was probably when they put real sugar in their Coca Cola rather than all the fake non-sugars today, and real fat in their doughnuts and deep fried their doughnuts in real fat rather than all this hydrogenated garbage.

Normal fats have all their molecules linked together to your body can properly digest it. Hydrogenated fats take a link out here and there and replace those links with a hydrogen molecule. That kind of fat gets in your body and your body wonders what the heck it is. So it lets it go into your blood veins and lets it clog up your arteries.

Not sure how easy it is to come by Mexican food in other parts of the country, in terms of at the grocery store rather than just at a restaurant.  Pretty easy in Texas, but Texas is basically Mexico anyway.  Not just historically.  Climate, beauty, architecture, the ladies :flowerred: , etc.  But basically, every grocery store here has a Mexican food isle.  And on that isle there's Pepsi and Coke that's imported from Mexico.  Real glass bottles and real sugar and not this high fructose corn syrup nonsense.  We've got Dr Pepper here that's in real glass bottles and with real sugar rather than high fructose corn syrup, but for some reason, those are about a million dollars for a six pack (not literally, but sheesh!), but depending on where you shop, the bottles of Coke and Pepsi with real sugar can be pretty cheap and can be bought as singles rather than in packs.

For anyone that doesn't know, plastic's sorta worse than the high fructose corn syrup, so that's why the occasional soda that I'll still mess with has got to be in glass.  Apparently, the plastic gets into whatever and causes hormonal problems, up to and including cancers.  So, just think in terms of plastic as you would of aluminum cans in terms of leeriness of having your drinks and anything else in it.  In fact, with all I've been hearing about plastic, the aluminum's probably a teeny bit safer than the plastic 'cause they're at least trying to use special liners in aluminum cans as a protective barrier between either the drink or the food and the aluminum.  But then we'll all find out later that those special liners are plastic or petroleum based to where they're essentially plastic, right?

I'm trying to get my bottled water in glass, but that isn't always practical in terms of cost.  What I'll probably wind up doing is buying my normal distilled water in plastic and transfering it to glass bottles, and then as soon as I'm satisfied in terms of my research on water distillers, then I'll only have the water distiller I'll buy in my place and pour it straight into glass bottles.  Me and my cat blow through so much distilled water, that the plastic issue's possibly almost a nonissue (as far as how long the water is in the plastic), but the length of time between the packaging of the water and getting it to my place and any excessive heat or whatever that it may encounter along the way is a factor or two or three that there's probably not always a lot of control over.  With what I know about how inventory is handled....it's amazing that I still buy anything from stores :sigh:

That's not true.  The person that had the cancer and thought they were healthy simply wasn't healthy to start with.  And with the few exceptions of genetic and environmental factors, most cancers are dietary and attitude.  People know if they're healthy or a time bomb on when they'll have more time with doctors than to themselves.  People know what they're eating and that exercise and getting enough sleep, which most people aren't even doing anyway, but that exercise and getting enough sleep by itself will only take someone so far.  If someone isn't having a bowel movement two to four times a day, then they're medically considered constipated and if they've been that way for years with very very rarely having two to four bowel movements per day, then they're full of poison and are the furthest from healthy.

And the list does go on and on about basic requirements to be considered healthy that most people aren't even trying to fit within the range of with getting enough water each day, etc.  So, if someone's not even trying, they can't even try to fool me that they're the least bit healthy just because they're not bleeding to death, being actively treated for something, or full of puss somewhere even if it's just the nose, etc.  Health in a western culture is on purpose rather than accidental, natural, or whatever.

You can control it with the blessing and the power of the tongue.  The weapons of a Christian's warfare didn't cease in the first century and they're not exclusively towards either people or demonic spirits, depending on which Scriptures you're reviewing, whether 2Corinthians 10, Ephesians 6, etc.  All things are ours.  Nothing comes upon the believer without their permission, even if they didn't know how they yielded permission.  I've been having that reminder/scolding the last couple of days from the Holy Spirit about my leg that I allowed to get jacked up with something over the last month.  He fills our mouths with good things so that our youth is renewed as the eagle's, according to Psalm 103 and countless other Scriptures.  1Peter 3:9-13

Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?

The inherited blessing is essentially all power and authority both in heaven and in earth.  And you don't die to inherit.  Had it been St. Paul that had said this instead of Peter, he'd of used the word "reap."  You just plant your seed and let it grow.  Or, fast and pray for a crop failure if you've been planting as the world plants:-)  Plead the Blood of Jesus on that thing and then start over:-) :cloud9:

Martin,

I'm familiar with those scriptures.  And I don't like to argue about stuff.  But really I just feel that an awful lot of random bad stuff happens to people - which I admit, does make me question my faith at times.

And I've been to 'name-it-and-claim-it' churches in times past and the thing is, they seem to be oblivious to the story of Job.  So I pretty much agree with IceDash - we do not know if tomorrow is ours in this world, but we are not to be afraid of death.   I find that more comforting than feeling that I am in control of life's events, quite honestly, because the fact is - we are not in control.   All the reasons behind suffering and death in this present evil world are a mystery that is tied into the mystery of iniquity it seems to me.  For example, my mother wanted to spend this Easter with me.  But her time was up on Feb. 28th 2009.  And by the Spirit, she knew her time was short, though she did not know the exact hour of her passing and had hoped to see me once more, but that was not to be.

Personally, Martin... I disagree with what you are saying. This is a fallen world, which it is supposed to be.
We don't get ill and stay ill because we aren't "pleading the blood" enough or because we don't have enough faith, etc. We are living in this world and bad things happen to ALL people because we are here to learn. To learn what it is like when HUMANS rule theirselves. We are learning what it is like to be apart from God. If bad things only happened to bad people and good things only happened to good people... NONE of this would be real. NONE of what we learn would be REAL. People would only be "good" so good things would happen to them.  I have no problem with bad things happening to "good" people and good things happening to "bad" people. It makes perfect sense.

And people get cancer for a LARGE number of reasons. Everything trickles down... that is why there is so much dis-ease in this world. Poisons in the soil, in the water, artificial this and artificial that, all sorts of radio waves in the air, bad air, bad water... it ALL trickles down. We abuse nature... nature starts to breakdown. The breakdown causes disease. All of it.... is part of us humans LEARNING by living in the contrast. How do we know what is righteous and beautiful and true without FIRST understanding what is NOT?

Life makes sense.

I may get cancer someday. Lots of cancer genes in my family.
Is it MY fault? No.
Is it God's fault? No.
It is what it is....
life in this fallen world.
This TEMPORARY fallen world.
Faith isn't believing you won't get ill or something bad WON'T happen to you...
FAITH is knowing, it's going to be ok. Faith is knowing this is temporary... and what get's thrown at us, we can take a deep breath and roll with it knowing this is only for a season.
To me, THAT is what faith is.
Trusting God. NO matter what happens in this life.
Do we get weak and our faith falters? of course, we are human aren't we?

We are here to see just how MUCH we NEED God.
We are here to understand just how RIGHTEOUS and TRUE God is...
We are here in this crazy world for a reason.
With all of it's horrors and atrocities... we are going to be shown that LOVE conquers all.
No matter what.
No matter how horrible or how atrocious we become or this world becomes... LOVE WILL CONQUER it.
We can't slip out of His grasp.. no matter how far down we go.
It is impossible.
He is the good shepherd.

peace.

We have His Word on it that His love will always provide.  We're here in this world to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living and to see all of the good things that He's provided for us.  This life's about seeing what God's going to do, not about what we're going to do.  It's about seeing all that Christ has suffered, not about seeing all that we'll suffer.  Nobody's forgotten about Job, the man who feared himself into so many evils, yet whose God was faithful enough to restore absolutely everything to him within a year's time so that he was wealthier after a really bad recession/depression than he'd ever been.  And when the story starts, he was the richest man in the East.

Perfect love cast out all fear from his life, and God even saved his friends whose words were seldom more than blasphemy against Him.  They saw what God could do in the life of a man that would count it all as a seed, after he stopped feeling sorry for himself, stopped cursing the day of his birth and started rejoicing in the knowledge of the life, power, provision, and resurrection of his Redeemer.  That man is given to us as an example in Scripture because he had the keys of the Kingdom as a descendant of Abraham.  The book of Job shows us what God can do in the life of someone who walks before Him blamelessly as Abraham did.

My testimony's not changing just because pain relievers, whether prescription or over the counter never work on me and I've been to the screaming point for weeks.  Jesus was beaten a beat and bled a drop for every letter of that New Testament.  The part of them having beaten Him repeatedly for hours (probably at least 8 when you count out the hours with the details given to us in the Gospels and in the Prophets of the Old Testament forecasting it) for our complete wholeness is the part that seems to always get lost in the sermons and in the perspective of most Christians.  Just because that movie ended in two to four hours doesn't mean the pain and bleeding did for Him.  I still rejoice in my fellowship, or my part of, what He did at the Cross for my complete wholeness.  And I still believe the Holy Spirit is working in me my sanctification from all of my Hell as a result.

Who is this uncircumcised pain to defy the armies of the living God?  All of the earth is going to know that Jesus is Lord!!
