I want to ask God to let me experience all the earthly stuff I couldn't or wouldn't do before like skydiving, deep sea diving, mountain climbing and so forth.

Part of the fun of those sports is the thrill of danger. The danger that Mr. Claypot is dashed to pieces. Would it be the same with a boring indestructable body?
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

another happy place ...would be walking in the cool of the day

Clearly the ideal Heaven depends on where someone lived during his/her earthly life because I would write 'in the heat of the day' (if that's a correct expression)
I bet you live in a desert state. I live in a what 'what the heck no rain and fairly warm' kinda state.

I was JUST thinking of this exact thing earlier this evening.

Maybe it's kind of like a water slide... you KNOW you are sliding into water and won't be hurt. Does that take away the thrill? no! I think it enhances it because the fear is gone and all that is left is just pure glee. Just gleeness.
Gleeness isn't a word but it should be.

I think that we'll be able to experience things on an unimaginable level. Like, our eyes will have telescopic and microscopic abilities, etc.

Maybe we can "become" something...  in order to experience what it is like to BE that something.
Like maybe you are exploring the animal world and you can become a sloth hanging out in a tree.
You could become a gazelle... or a cheetah. All creation will be in harmony, so there is no carnivores, etc.

Or what if you could become water... rushing down a stream...
You "become" it, in the sense that you can experience everything there is to experience the thing you are exploring.
I think about that a lot. I wonder what it feels like to just be a tree? To have roots firm in the ground and reaching your branches upwards and to feel the leaves on the branches, and have all sorts of little birds and things make nests, and sing to you, etc. What if we could literally become stuff just so we can really fully experience this thing He has created?

Sometimes I think about seeing my dog that just passed away, and I was thinking... what If I could be a puppy with him? That's why I loved when you said "be a dog playing with a ball"!  :laughing7: I think... what if I could just for a little while be a dog and just run through meadows with my dog? How cool would that be?!

Maybe this earth is just the tip of the iceberg of what God has created! Maybe this is one teeny tiny sample. Can you imagine that? Do you know who many types of animals there are on earth? It's staggering...
What if there are new colors we can't even comprehend?

Maybe we start out slow and work our way up to different abilities and experiences...
What if it just keeps getting better and better and better and better.... for eternity?

I would love to be like a kid again...
where everything is new and exciting
and you are kind of unaware of your self, in a sense... you just BE and DO.

hmmm... well I have more thoughts but I better stop for now.  :laughing7:

Everyone understanding what you meant by such and such.

Everyone finally getting it, i.e. "you" and you understanding that wax build up between everybody else's ears that they've been calling a brain all this time:-)

For everyone to finally believe those instances of the more wreckless moments of many believers' lives that those were actually moments of divine inspiration and divine information, even if it looked the furthest thing from it 'cause it didn't quite fit in with our rules and the brand of unscriptural legalism that's peculiar to each of us.  Situations come to mind where what I was saying or what I was typing was 100% emphatically "thus saith the Lord" and the situations that were spoken to involved people that thought that I was totally bananas for asserting such and such, when had there been a flicker of doubt lasting so much as a quadrillionth of a second, then like anybody else I'd of very obviously backed down.

(Isn't it sorta the things that a prophet won't back down from that should make folks nervous? ROFLOL!  Teasing aside in the way that I put that, it's usually the nonsense that's "negotiable.")

It's scary to honestly know that you know something and to be thought a total fool by those that such and such information would have the most baring on.  Wind up having to live down countless situations where the love of God is literally bursting through your heart towards another person or towards others, as the case may be, and to be thought totally wacko when you'd be willing to back it up with your life's blood being extracted in more painful ways than by either crucifixion or juicing.  That's actually what the deepest Hell looks like.

So, what's the opposite of that?  For everyone to be able to retrace every step that God took towards them, among them, through them, beside them, from the craziest most Twilight Zonish left field, from the most nonchalant whatever, et. al.

From the child's perspective, to know that you were right about something that seemed to be such a secret to everybody else; being the child who was formerly slapped with everything that your mother had for lying because you said that a man swooped down out of the sky and got your cat out of the tree for you -- only to see the speechless look on your mother's face when that first exclusive that Lois Lane had with Superman came out in the newspaper.

From the perspective of the grieving Superman: each life being restored that you couldn't reach in this life; each man, woman, child, and animal that you couldn't rescue from harm's way suddenly not only fully conscious and having it together more than they ever did, but to know that they know that you did absolutely everything that you could have done.  For your best to no longer look like "not quite good enough" in your own eyes and in your perspective of how everyone else around you sees you.

For everyone who lived all of their lives under the gloomy shadow (NIGHTMARE!) of all that they could never quite live up to, to suddenly be freed from those burdens that were brought in with the "by the sweat of your brow" curse that came into the world in the Garden of Eden.  Being with and like Christ Jesus without the struggle to be, being present.  Every wrong relationship having been made right between every thought, every impulse, every molecule, every breath, every particle of gravity, every particle of time, every particle of space, every particle of every other demension, and every word -- now that would be heavenly!!

 This is why Hitler will be in heaven. Love overcomes ALL.
The most evil of things that a person or group of people can do on earth... the love to overcome it, is what will make everyone knees buckle. That is part of the reason every knee shall bow. Not out of force. The "every knee shall bow" is a picture of everyone's REACTION to God's Love.

There is NOTHING we can do to escape the love of God.
Nothing.
It's fruitless to try to get away from God's love.
That's part of why we are here on earth.
Evil has to play out to the end.
Evil has to be exhausted, so it can finally become...irrelevant and obsolete.
From the most minor forms of evil to the most major forms of evil.

LOVE (God) overcomes ALL.
Picture in your mind... those who suffered in concentration camps, and picture those who infliced the suffering having died and being faced with God. Now picture those victims walking up behind God.... The prison guard who inflicted the torture, trembles and falls to the ground. However, now see those victims reaching down and lifting up the prison guard and embracing him and the love of God washes over him. See the forgiveness and mercy. See the love. Now tell me, where is the power... in the EVIL that occurred on earth? Or in the amazing transformation that LOVE (God) had on all involved in the next life??  Fear no evil. This is what it is all about.... This is the glorious, amazing picture that is being painted for us.
No matter how far evil goes...LOVE will ALWAYS go farther and transform and overcome it. Amazing. God.IS.Love. And this world is more than it seems.... :HeartThrob:

It's simply heavenly when these types of transformations happen on earth.  :happy3: That's why ya gotta spread the love around and love your enemies, etc.

If I could tailor Heaven to my liking, then it would be a place where all my pets (or non-human family) are there, and while I hope that everyone ever born is there, I would like my own private retreat.  I dislike crowds, so some place where I could go and be alone for a spell would be fantastic.

Oh, and I want wings.  This isn't a top priority kind of thing, but I always wondered why all the depictions of people in Heaven have wings.  It would be hard to sleep with them, though.  Come to think of it, it would be difficult to sit, dress, and pretty much do anything.  Oh well.

And I want to see Jesus' hands.  When I was a kid, I used to wonder if the holes in his hands and feet were still there, so inspecting his hands is a must for me!

Hi there sparra,

When i'd get to heaven, i would want to see my fur family, relatives, people who i admired on earth, Elvis, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Joan of Arc, etc. But obviously Jesus first of all, obviously!!!

I would like to know all things, i.e. who built the pyramids and why and to see them as they were when they were first built. The reason why things are as they are. To be able to eat meat without it being meat, if you know what i mean, looks and tastes like meat but not made from animals and food that you don't have to cook, it's always ready!!
I don't know if any of you have heard of Thomas Kinkade and his art. To me that is heaven.
Godbless

Did you notice when I wrote about my cabin on a mountain and me eating my big steak, did you notice I said that as I hiked on the mountain I hope to get a bit tired and very hungry? You got to have more imagination WW and more faith in God!  :happy3: Just kidding.

Now you are asking if I'm hoping to be able to get a little bit hurt to make it all a challenge? No, I hate pain. I'm sticking with what Sparrow said. Maybe I can imagine just a bit what it would've been like to fall without having to actually get all bloodied up and racked in pain when I actually fall. Did I say 'when'?

By the way, I don't like killing cows either but I hope God can get me a steak without killing a cow. Think He can?

I just thought of something kind of funny. The dream I had about my dog.
My dog died back in January. I had him for 13 years, needless to say it was rough-going after he died.
I thought I was literally going to die myself. I've been through death and it's never easy.
Anyway... One of the dreams that I had the week after he died (I had several very neat things happen after he died, one of them was the handful of dreams I had.) ANYWAY... I dreamt he was amazingly happy, healthy, feeling good and just surrounded by LOVE... and get this.. he had chocolates, and he was letting everyone have the best chocolates out of the box, and he was so happy to be letting everyone else have the best ones. I woke right up out of the dream and felt so peaceful.

It wasn't until the next day that I realized... HEY! Wait a minute! You're not supposed to be eating chocolate! You're a dog!  It's bad for you!!!!! Then I realized... oh wait. You're eating chocolate. This must be part of your heaven.  :laughing7: Being able to eat chocolates.

So.. I think my dog is hanging out with God, eating chocolates.

Ah, Sparrow, that's a great thought.  A "pet" of mine that I'd love to see in Heaven is my little goat, Eric.  He died when he was 4 weeks old, after coming home from a Bible camp demonstration.  I posted the whole story in another thread somewhere... I've still got to get a good picture of him up here (I may edit this tomorrow morning).  Anyway, I can't wait to see him again.  Not to mention all my other pets, but Eric was a bit special.

I don't think he'd eat chocolates, though.  He's probably singing, though.  He used to sing himself to sleep, as best as a goat can sing.  It sounded more like a hum, though.

Well, you all have made heaven real for me already.  :cloud9: I could just picture myself in every post doing and seeing all the things everyone said.  I kind of liked Akira's idea about having a place of my own. I sometimes imagine myself being on my own planet with a big lake and cabin.

It would be nice just to have peace of mind knowing that death, sorrow and all the bad things were gone and only happiness remained.

I like what CHB just said "it would be nice just to have peace of mind knowing that death, sorrow and all the bad things were gone and only happiness remained." Amen. I find myself more and more everyday longing to be there. With each loved one that passes, the longing grows stronger. hmmmm.

Quote1. Black is the absence of color (and is therefore not a color)

Explanation:
When there is no light, everything is black. Test this out by going into a photographic dark room. There are no photons of light. In other words, there are no photons of colors.

2. White is the blending of all colors and is a color.

Explanation:
Light appears colorless or white. Sunlight is white light that is composed of all the colors of the spectrum.  A rainbow is proof. You can't see the colors of sunlight except when atmospheric conditions bend the light rays and create a rainbow. You can also use a prism to demonstrate this.

Fact: The sum of all the colors of light add up to white.

Darkness.... is dull, nothing, joyless.

The light on the other hand... colorful and beautiful as a rainbow.

pets?

Well yes, there was this particular cat in my life for many years, in the begining he was a stray farrow cat that walked off a low shed roof and onto my sholders, he chose me I didn't chose him, but he persisted and prevailed, gaining my care, attention and my heart.

When that cat died there was an empty place in my life like something missing, it took months for this to wear off, and yet even now I get a twinge of seing that cat
walking up to greet me, and hopefuly this may just be again.

:cloud9: Well, I didn't intend for it to sound negative, if it did; I guess I've always been an "oddball" that way, as I've just never longed to go there. I don't want to miss what I think He's going to do here! Blessings....
(I never had much interest in a Paradise until a friend said to me, "You'll be able to study the Bible all you want.")

I saw a large low incline stairway with saints and angels on its steps ascending and descending between earth and glory.  The voice said to me, "All saints go here."  With tightly closed eyes I turned my back to it and passionately said, "All I want is Jesus!"  And the golden glory of God, like liquid light, seeped between my tightly closed eyelids and filled my eyes.

My great fear was not "hell," even when I had the idea of it like others had told me.  I feared missing the glory of God.  And, like a clown I have, maybe to find out I'm actually loved by God anyway.  I knew not my day of visitation, again and again misunderstanding, abusing the messenger of God, failing to heed the presence of Celestial dignitaries, even worse, belittling them; but, self's uncertainty that hopes in God's merciful nature, like is said in the prophet Joel, "Who knows? He may reconsider and change his plan and leave a blessing for you," this is the portion lavished on me by the Great God in His tender pity for this shambling fumbler of low estate.  But a morsel from God, a crumb that falls from so glorious a table, is sufficient to sustain to life immortal.

Joel 2:13-14 (GW) . . .
13 Tear your hearts, not your clothes. Return to the Lord your God. He is merciful and compassionate, patient, and always ready to forgive and to change his plans about disaster.
14 Who knows? He may reconsider and change his plan and leave a blessing for you. Then you could give grain offerings and wine offerings to the Lord your God.

The great pianist Oscar Levant once said something to the effect of, "The only goal of my life has been to achieve unconsciousness."  Unless we are found in a time we cannot know or God intervenes in a way that's  statistically exceedingly unusual, that is our destiny, at least for a season.

First, my earnest prayer is, "O God, that I may experience contiuously the presence of God manifesting in power!"

Secondarily, I do delight in being without time restraints comfortably on the veranda bordering a beautiful garden with a handful of dear friends searching out God's word together as we eat and drink and fellowship . . .

I'm with ya' Cardinal.  God has sown in us that it would spring forth and be revealed.  "When He appears, we will appear with Him in glory." All of creation and ourselves too are in birth pangs for the manifestation of the lawful inheritors of God.  They shall be in the liberty of the glory, their physical aspect married to the Resurrection, fulfilling all creation.
