Matthew 10:32  Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
33  But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

We know that there are, in fact, those whom confess Jesus Christ before men, and those whom deny Jesus Christ before men.

The scriptures seem clear that those whom deny Jesus Christ before men shall be denied by Jesus Christ before his Father in heaven.

I would agree, that in the case of all sins except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, that this sin may be repented of, but my question is only for those whom won't/don't repent.

What do you guys think being denied by Jesus Christ before his Father in heaven means or implies?

Peter wept bitterly and repented of denying Jesus Christ. I was really only speaking of those whom won't/don't repent.

Rom 11:33  O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Rom 11:34  For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counselor?

Rom 11:35  Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

Rom 11:36  For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory forever. Amen.

No doubt that all shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, when they kneel before him. This is not the same as confessing him before men, here and now.

Romans 11 is talking about Israel being cut off that we gentiles may be grafted in. It says that if they continue not in unbelief, then they shall be grafted back in. It also says to fear, take heed, and be not highminded.

Romans 11:20  Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21  For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
22  Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
23  And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.

Life is to "know him". Not all "know" him, as they are clouded by the "carnal mind".

Being denied by Jesus, as Jesus would understand it, is in relation to His High Priestly function as Lord of the tithe.  Has ZERO to do with heaven/hell, but with regards to the supernatural in the daily life of those who manifest the faith, intercession, and worship of Abraham.  Some statements Many statements in the New Testament have to be weighed with the rest of the New Testament, particularly from the mouth of Jesus Who was looking ahead to the roles and offices He'd function in after His resurrection.  This is one of those statements, where with the combination of our fruit and our works in an offering to the Father before the Priest that there is in these days works in our favor, or if we don't build our house on the rock... :sigh: but again, has ZERO to do with heaven/hell.

Martin--what did you just say?

arcticmonster2003

Thanks for the replies.

Just for the record. I believe being denied is being denied that your name is in the lamb's Book of Life. So to me it is about eternal life or eternal condemnation.

Revelation 20:15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

martincisneros

2Peter 3 is the Lake of Fire.  Is the Earth engulfed in flames forever?  So, you believe that the Blood of Christ ultimately loses it's power, that it never reaches to the deepest Hell, that it's not the song of the saints and angels, that God wastes a drop of what was shed for the whole world, and that God is relegated to a plan B rather than His original intention being His final decision, eh?  Again, few among us deny the ages of judgment that precede final restoration.  But you believe that Christ Jesus reigns forever as King and Priest because He never acheives His mission of subduing and reconciling all sinners to God. :sigh:

I hope you're faithful to the end, since in the end He's only as faithful as you were.  Isn't it sad that He came to seek and to save the lost, but the Good Gospel News is that those that are sinners to the fullest extent will never be reached?  So much for undoing the work of Adam.  Doesn't look like the first Adam's sin is ever undone upon your understanding of the Gospel.  Adam eternally defeats Christ by your estimation, since the Blood isn't good enough for everything all of the way back to Adam but only applies to those with the faithfulness of Abraham.  If you're faithful to God, then He's faithful to you -- then you're your own saviour.  The conclusion of your theology is inescapable that man alone is God because man saves himself and though Christ's Blood atones, it's not the ransom for all men.  So, you believe that Satan has an eternal Kingdom of darkness that shall never be overthrown, but will simply be relocated to a burning pit.

And you have the audacity to account our theology Treason to His Majesty, Christ Jesus??!!!

martincisneros

Let me quickly interject that I probably sound far more annoyed than I am.  I'm not the least bit annoyed.  Just extremely exhausted after a really long week, so any hint of being whiney or belligerent is from that.

Matthew 10:22  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Matthew 24:13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Mark 13:13  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Revelation 3:5  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Notice the underlined section of the verse (Rev 3:5), now notice the subject of the thread.

The scriptures speak clearly what having your name confessed, or denied by Jesus Christ before the Father means. It means having your name confessed by Jesus Christ to be in his Book of Life to the Father, or him denying your name is in the Book of Life to the Father, having been blotted out. Revelation 3:5 should clear this up for anyone whom is in question to the subject of this thread.

martincisneros

Those that endure what to the end?  Does the context of the Scripture either presuppose or even imply receiving eternal salvation on any of those "endure to the end" passages?  Nope!  There's every reason to believe it applies to temporal deliverance and the preservation of one's love in one's heart.  And again, the confession before the Father and the Angels relates back to the operations of His High Priestly ministry and the opening of the hidden manna to believers through the granting of a New Name.  It's possible to receive more than one New Name from the Lord.  And it's possible to receive those in this life time.  I've had all of the rewards in the first three chapters of Revelation already.  They're not eschatological events at all.  His High Priestly ministry in addition to dealing with sin, which Hebrews says He's already dealt with, also relates to our offerings and the manifestations of our fruits and His gifts for the meeting of every single need that we minister to in His Name.  If He denies you before the Father, you can count on not walking in the supernatural health and healing of your body, your youth won't be renewed as the eagle's, and you won't inherit the grace spoken of in 2Corinthians chapters 8 and 9 that pertains to giving and supernatural receiving.  Doesn't mean you'll be lost, just because the Lord repays you like Alexander the Coppersmith, Elymas the Sorcerer, the Apostle Thomas, Saul of Tarsus, Onesimus, and Philemon.
