Are you Irritable, Depressed, Angry? These are often signs of ingesting the leaven of Eternal Torment.

The best cure to date for these maladies is to take the truth of Universal Reconciliation.
Some have reported fits of happiness and a feeling of freedom. Other symptoms might include sudden fits of laughter and outbursts of praise to God. Remember that Universal Reconciliation might not be for everyone so ask you pastor if UR is right for you.

I am very new to the idea of UR, and I have gone from first feeling great joy and peace, to being depressed and angry, to now being cautiously optimistic. If this UR doctrine be true, I cannot stop its progress in overtaking my every thought, and leading me to a great sense of peace and purpose as a Christian.

Hiya,

I do understanding the humour in mirroring a prescription drug commercial with the knowledge of the Truth.

It did make me smile TonyN.

Though it made me smile, because I can see what you are trying to accomplish.

I disagree with your advice.

If you feel irritable, depressed or angry, it is because you continue to set your mind on the things of men and not the things of God.

If you feel irritable, depressed or angry, renew your mind by the washing of the Word and focus your eyes on He who saved all mankind, especially those who believe.

The Joy of the Lord is our strength.

The Joy of the Lord encompasses the entire knowledge of the truth, and not just one aspect.

If you are irritable, depressed and angry, it means you have forgotten how to love and have stopped loving one another for quite sometime.

The knowledge can only reveal a good life, it cannot sustain a good life, faith activated through love is the only course of action.

Only then will the knowledge of the truth be truly revealed.

Hiya

I do not find depression and mourning are the same thing.

mourn⋅ing
noun
1.    the act of a person who mourns; sorrowing or lamentation.
2.    the conventional manifestation of sorrow for a person's death, esp. by the wearing of black clothes or a black armband, the hanging of flags at half-mast, etc.
3.    the outward symbols of such sorrow, as black garments.
4.    the period or interval during which a person grieves or formally expresses grief, as by wearing black garments.
–adjective
5.    of, pertaining to, or used in mourning.

de⋅pressed
   1. Low in spirits; dejected.
   2. Suffering from psychological depression.

When a family member of mine passed away, I was in mourning but I was far from depressed.

If you are looking for a fight, then do please continue to manipulate what I said and please continue to be unreasonable in your understanding.

:cloud9: :HeartThrob:

:2c:  :2c:

P.S. I am sorry you lost a child, I understand the pain of losing a loved one especially at such a young age.

Nathan

mourning can lead to depression though.

A time and a season for everything.  We are affected by these seasons.  And we change "with" them.  And as we change, it's most effective that we embrace the process . .including the pain of it.  Not that we embrace pain, but that we embrace the process, knowing that through the pain, joy always awaits us on the other side of it all.  When you hurt "with" me in my hurting, you become healing ointment to my pain.  Once the pain subsides, then we both can rejoice together.  When two have one heart, that which is divided and broken, can mend and be stronger than before it was broken

YoungYuni

Hiya Nathan,

Thanks for making that clear.

That is what I was referring to concerning being irritable, depressed and angry.

The knowledge of universal salvation for all mankind will not cure anyone of being irritable, depressed or angry.

:icon_king: :icon_queen:

YoungYuni

Thanks for the clarification.

Talking about losing a loved one, especially ones own child, did not appear to me that you intended it to be light hearted.

So you can understand my misunderstanding of your intention.

:HeartThrob: :HeartThrob:

YoungYuni

Hiya,

Thanks for clarifying.

Sticking to the subject at hand then.

Are you are saying that the knowledge of universal salvation, cured you of your mourning?

:dontknow:  :sigh:

Obviously, there are many more layers to life...including clinical depression and mourning...which are by definition, 2 very different things.  Clinical depression being often a genetically inherited predisposition to brain chemical and electrical imbalances, then triggered by stressors.  Mourning, something we all go through with painful loss, which doesn't usually turn into depression, especially if we're not predisposed to it.  In G's case, constant stress, especially chronic pain, takes an extreme toll on our energy levels and our resources and ability to manage at "normal", pre-trauma levels.  THIS IS TRUE AND PERSONAL FOR MANY OF US, ALTHOUGH, ADMITTEDLY DRY, CLINICAL STUFF  .  (Apologize, comes from 25 years in the behavioral health field  :mshock:.)

Anyway, Tony, in the limited context of which I believe you intended, I get it, and   on the 'joke'  .  I was thinking of answering your OP with "only when I'm breathing/or awake"  :laughing7:.

Probably, and he probably could have used it...unless it was all situational and/or spiritual, then it might not have helped.  I haven't studied it enough...do you think David was clinically depressed, or "just" had a lot of "issues"?  I'd guess mostly the latter  :dontknow:.

Or maybe he believed in ET (just kidding).

If clinical depression isn't involved, then typically meds shouldn't be prescribed for grief...it can mask the symptoms, inhibiting the person from working through the grief effectively, which then of course, only makes things worse.  There are a lot of docs though (especially regular family docs, that don't know a lot about psychotropic meds to begin with) that do prescribe meds for about anything, appropriate or not .

Hi , I was not going to jump into this lol..

but you are  right many times when we are struggling   with  the Lord Spirit in us a doctor   would call it   depression and   give you a pill
 it has  happened to me
the comfort I got was the Lord opening up  Davids psalms  and was a living hell to be weaned off of Prozac   after being on it for sevearl years  for my  depression  and  hyper activity disorder  as a child , I  felt alot of  guilt and abnormal  and evil to God how could I ever approach this Throne of Grace  when  I could never  ever seem to feel  clean ?
Pro 12:10 A righteous [man] regardeth the life of his beast:  but the tender mercies of the wicked [are] cruel.

:HeartThrob:

who has not suffered in the days of His flesh ?

Jesus learned obedience   suffering during his days of flesh  among us
I think that  says it all  :HeartThrob:
Jesus is the reward  !!

Nathan

Perhaps it was a good thing David didn't have prozak . . . if he masked the pain, perfection of God could have been tainted and Psalms wouldn't have the same depth and emotion.

Funny you should mention this Nate ,  I   thought the same thing

I know that every emotion of the soul/life
it is the flood of emotions  that   can  cause pain , and torment  or relief , being numb to pain  only prolongs the suffering effects  , we have to face our fears to overcome them   in  the
"seat of emotions"     a good cry out to God is the best pain reliever so far  from experience  that I know How to  stay   healed

Psa 51:17 The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.   :HeartThrob:

Yup, Rose I think so to.  God gave me medicine for my pain . .it's built in.  It's called "tears". :HeartThrob:

Molly

I think Jesus is weeping in empathy and frustration at the uneccesary suffering of  the blind who cannot yet see the truth.

John 11:11
These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

Sounds like Shinar, evertime I hear of two rivers I think of the blood and water that come out of Christ

Due to the overwhelming posts that UR helps no one with depression, anger or irritability I have re-worded my post to keep you in your anger, depression and irritability:

Are you Irritable, Depressed, Angry? These are not signs of ingesting the leaven of Eternal Torment.

There is no cure to date for these maladies.  Not even the truth of Universal Reconciliation or any truth will help you.

Some have reported fits of happiness and a feeling of freedom. Other symptoms might include sudden fits of laughter and outbursts of praise to God. Others, well, nothing has helped them. They would have been better off just believing in ET so that family and friend's relations would not be strained. Remember that Universal Reconciliation might not be for everyone, (obviously not for those here) so ask your pastor if UR is right for you. Better just stick with ET if you are depressed.
