Hun I am not even going to watch that Video because I have given enough time and energy to "hell testimonies" and "hell NDE's" - it only upsets a person and makes you feel sick. Do me a favour and give me a brief summary of what its about and then I will tell you what I think.

It doesn't disturb me in the least except for the torment it brings the people who believe it. It's been around for a long time in one form or another. Just another tactic to try to shock believers into evangelizing. Same old pagan mytholgy concerning the afterlife   :thumbdown:

It's a hypothetical letter from someone who ended up in hell after an accident. If I recall the person lashes out at their Christian friends "Why didn't you tell me!!! You knew!!!" so it's a major guilt trip/motivational tool thing.

It is a dramatic terror laden depiction of a young man getting roasted while screaming in pain and anger and hatred at his Christian "friend" Josh who never told him how to be a Christian. His last words are "wish you were here....."

I guess I see how it could be disturbing if you ever believed this stuff, so I don't mean to underestimate that embedded fear some of you may still retain. Honestly - to me it's just silly.

I almost would say "watch it - it's SO corny" but yet I need to be sensitive to you guys and how it may effect you. Did you ever read 'chick tracts'? It's like those but presented in an audio drama fashion.

Nah, you know what, I have totally let go of the idea of "hell". It was very scary to keep feeling like I am on my way there (totally awful). As I said in another thread I made "I have been to hell and back" (my own personal one). I still have so much compassion for those that are terrorized by it tho.

I've seen that video before and in my opinion, it is one of the sickest, most blasphemous pieces of junk I have ever seen, right along side the play Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames.  It is nothing more that a way to guilt trip people into evangelism.  In a way, it places the task of saving the world entirely on our back.  Sure, Jesus is "Savior" in the fact that it wouldn't be possible to go to Heaven without Him, but when it comes down to it, it's our responsibility to save not only ourselves, but also everyone around us.  No, this is nothing but lies.  Jesus IS the Savior of the World, not us.  Yes, their is a response on our end, but that response is nothing more than an awakening and acceptance to something that has already been done on our behalf.  True evangelism is not trying to convert/force/argue/scare the hell out of people so that they will do X to be saved.  It is a loving declaration that God has already reconciled them to Himself and there is nothing more they can do to get Him to love them.  They only response to that kind of news is to trust what you have heard and live it out (i.e. have faith.)  That is the True Gospel, not this disturbing example of religous propaganda.

I have seen Kirk Cameron's name on TBN, is that the same guy from that t.v series Growing Pains I think it was called? If so what does he teach? From your post it sounds as if he is an ET preacher?

    Yes he use to be on Growing Pains.    Now he is a partner with Ray Comfort at the Way of the Master ministries.   Yes they are heavy into ET.   You can check them out at Way of the Master .com if you like.  When I am visiting other Christian sites like that, which believe in ET I always feel like e-mailing them telling them to check out our site here at Tentmaker.  It would be so cool to see some mainstream and well known Christians, like Ray and Kirk,  embrace UR. That would really upset the religious apple cart I think!

Tempting (to invite them) but then again they would most probably try and tell all here how we are going to hell for dragging others down with us, or something in those lines. Whilst reading up online the other day I came across something interesting, it seems that Lady Diana was a Universalist too. She was a wonderful person who done so much for the world, so it just goes to show.
