Who is Michael Rood?

A friend (WhiteWings) directed me to a few places on the internet that mention the teachings of a man called Michael Rood. All I understand about him is that he seems to try and teach in the original Hebrew? To me (from what little I have read) he seems to believe that the earliest writings of the bible are speaking of eternal hell? I am really not sure what he is teaching and what he believes in. If anyone has any information on him and his teachings, please clear this up for me. I have found the website below and am trying to read it and understand better.

I think it's more important to figure out what other Jewish scholars think about him.
Perhaps they find him a decieved and unscriptual

I am not so sure I care to find out anymore lol. To me he is unscriptual. Don't really believe he is for real at all.

No scholar here, but from my reading, I get that the early, "Old Testament" Jews had no concept of an eternal hell, and that it doesn't exist in the OT Hebrew.  It was typically the grave.  Don't know Rood, but I "know" the Apostle Paul, who reportedly never said a word about "hell" or ET...and Paul said his ministry was given him [personally?] by Jesus, and that he preached the whole gospel.

I must say that the gospel of Paul is my favourite and to me it is really the most beautiful. Funny how so many ET believers try and say that is might not be an original or real gospel (dunno if you have ever heard this obsurdity). I think it is very significent that Paul never spoke of Hell or even unforgivable things. He had a very nice way of putting things forward. Another one of those gospels that make you all fuzzy inside and makes you see Jesus in a more personal loving way.

I heard a similar claim. At least 5 books where fake according to that article. Perhaps it was just to make their doctrine fit better.
The Bible changed before; so how can I be sure the current one contains the right books?

ive seen some of his tv programs they are quite interesting and informative.they give keen insight into when jesus lived and the things that affected his surrondings.as for et,i cant remember if he had mentioned it? :icon_king:

I can't be sure but from what little I have read up on him he does appear to be an ET or anihillation teacher. He believes himself to me a real prophet, and that is about all I know about him.

I've made it a point to watch Rood's TV show when he was on because he had ever-so-much-more Scripture than most the stuff that' out there.  He may be mistaken on this or that point; but, time spent with him is profitable.  He has an excellent teaching on authority and the kingdom of God which might be one reason he's off, was it angel?  He's certainly better than . . . I'll skip it for now.  There's another one that makes me gnash my teeth.

To have the person of the Holy Spirit, compare that to having an egg.  Learn how the Italian cook would prepare it, maybe with a tomato sauce.  Spend some time with the Chinese cook and learn to make the 100 year old egg, something in sea-salt and green, to be sliced like a cheese.  Learn how the French chef whips the white and folds it into the yollk for a lighter, "French" omelet.  The point is in the end you may prepare it however you would, maybe even new.  Invite some friends over, maybe some who are needy and serve dinner, enjoying fellowship and ministering to one another's needs.

There is a lot that is known by those who have been taught about the God of the Bible differently than ourselves.  We can learn from them, and in the course of sharing, they may learn some very important things from us.  They just might . . .
