A phrase in Philippians 3:19 is sometimes translated like this – "They are going to end up in hell.."

To see the literal word for word – https://biblehub.com/interlinear/philippians/3-19.htm – See words #5056 and #684.

Alternate translation – "whose end (TOLL) is destruction/ruin (NOT hell)..."

That "end" is their end in this life, otherwise it must be believed that there is destruction and ruin in YHWH's eternal Kingdom.  Negative things will surely be defeated and put under the feet of Yashua - and notice how that is handled almost gently.  Those whose end had been destruction/ruin will be saved "as through fire," something that is become more and more clear to me.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

Mat 16:18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

Read and reread.
Christ's church obviously is not locked up in hell.
Still they are breaking down the gates of hell. That means the saints enter hell. I think that gives a different look on the verse.
Are they there just for the scenery?

John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
