Long before man realized the universe is expanding, Jesus said "the sky and the earth will not last forever, but My words will".

If we have 0pen eyes, we can clearly see that with the God - who set the vast universe in motion (and created an explosion of life) - with Him or to Him, nothing is impossible!

Jesus said He will draw all to Him, and any believer should lol, be able to believe that. Some of the things we've been studying on lately here in the forum, are coming together in my mind, that the "strong delusion"(S) Of our day are like enchantments. I'm not a conspiracy theorist. But lately i'm thinking if it were only human, it would be limited. But if it is (indeed) spiritual.. less limited?
:mshock: Oy?
..don't get me wrong, I am not fearful nor hysterical :laughing7: which might be what allows me to ponder and recognize(?) these things. Like, is there any sort of conspiracy or plural, going on in today's world? What might it or they be? And for what purpose? [I know I've strayed from physics haven't I? Maybe it'll tie back in.. or I'll change the topic title] And most importantly, does the Bible speak of it?

Does the Bible speak of it? I know I need to reread the prophets. A good winter 'project'? Then I can keep track of cross references to the Book of Revelation.. typing this on iPhone I missed the k, got boo.. and the picture of a ghost came up.. just struck me as weird :laughing7: maybe God's Spirit's sense of humor.. since we tend to think about Revelation as kind of spooky(?) and forum discussions about sort of ghostly things, and hallow's eve to boot..

For a long time I preferred the phrase Holy Ghost.. but switched to Holy Spirit because most folks prefer that. Now I do too, actually..

"The sky and earth will not last forever.. They will wax old like a garment.. I wonder when that was written? Way before man was aware of the law of entropy all matter is (presently?) under.

This whole thing.. getting ALL enrolled upon the scroll of "Life" is like a dizzying ride... on a scroll.. or swath of cloth, garment.. scroll of life floating/whizzing through a sea of entropy (corruption/corruptability, prone to perishing, fading away) and space.. Apparently God has a lot of space.

I've always preferred the term "Holy Spirit." Holy Ghost just makes me think of Casper the friendly ghost  :laughing7:

Good timing actually. I was watching something on Scripture yesterday, and at one point, when the guy mentioned some things Scripture predicts, like subatomic particles, internet, etc. He mentions how Science has been starting to show how the constants are always changing like in quantum mechanics, and shows how this reality is but a mere shadow of a much bigger one. The second part of the last sentence was actually a quote of a 2005 Scientific magazine.

If the shadow only existed, how could an unstable universe exist? It would be impossible without some design, or in our case, a lot of it. So "heaven coming to earth" basically will literally happen, as the shadow will be absorbed into the Light, and will be waxed away.

John 1
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Ps. 118:89   For ever, O LORD, your word is settled in the heavens.
The oldest known manuscripts agree with each other 99% of the time.  The scriptures, accurately translated, Spirit revealed - reliable.   Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.  Heb. 12:2

Wow! That's very interesting to think about.. that bigger reality.. heaven coming to Earth, shadow absorbed into light.. smaller reality absorbed into larger, made new.. no more entropy, falling apart-ness, fading.. (And best of all, no more dog eat dog!)

I love this verse someone posted the other day.. as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what (great things?) God has prepared for those who love Him 1Cor.2:9.

7 No, we speak of the mysterious and hidden wisdom of God, which He destined for our glory before time began. 8None of the rulers of this age understood it. For if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 Rather, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him."...

10 But God has revealed it to us by the Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of man except his own spirit within him? So too, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God....

Lazarus Short

I'm thinking, that in comparison to what God has for us on the other side, that we live in a sort of Bizarro World.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus
