Actually, I read recently that about 10-15 years ago, some were prophesying that there would be a president who becomes very faithful and prayerful over being a president. Seems like Trump is that person  :friendstu:

:cloud9: The now deceased Australian prophet, Kim Clement, also prophesied around 2007 that God was going to put in a man that had no fear, as President. I don't recall the whole prophecy, but it sure hits Trump well, I'd say. He'd have to be fearless to go though all the crap he has since taking office, and to stand up to the corrupt system he found himself put into. Blessings...

How interesting..

Cardinal, I found her prophecy:

"The Spirit of God says, I will move in a very unusual manner. For this Nation is being mocked. Third world countries are mocking you. Ungodly nations are mocking you. But God said, not the forces of hell, for they are hearing sounds of fire and resurrection that are emerging from the four corners of this Nation. Some would say, you are forgotten, but I have told you there will be an invasion of the news media. Instruments that once mocked Me will be instruments that now raise Me up, says the Lord.

And in the month of May and October... I will grant an unusual amount of favor not only to the Church but into this Nation for the rain shall come upon the just and the unjust. For suddenly there will be a rapidity, there will be a movement that shall happen so quickly that they shall say, we did give not bring birth or give birth to this.

Time Magazine will have no choice but to say what I want them to say. Newsweek, what I want to say. The View, what I want to say. Trump shall become a trumpet, says the Lord!"

It is very interesting.. the name - Trump. And as Psalm 2 says, the nations.. or peoples, certainly are raging.. (just a 'beginning' of?)

Not that the Lord won't sustain, but I consider delay very good, mostly because I have grandchildren!
Probably the only person who thinks this, but I just don't want any more delays for judgment. Judgment teaches righteousness, and the sooner the world learns righteousness, the sooner we transition into the next ages, and with God being all in all.

Sure, it may be a bit painful, but necessary. If God kept delaying judgment on the child sacrificers and Sodom and Gomorrah, or even the days of Noah, how much more lives would have been lost? How much evil do people want to be increasing? All up to God, but I hope not much longer...
John 1
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

You don't have kids right? I think that is what Glenda is talking about. The instinct to protect them is so strong. So whatever the judgment entails, it is scary if the prospect is suffering that could reach them. Even if it's God's will, it's a difficult thing.

Also, I know we are all flawed...but can someone explain to me why Trump is seen as a hero?  Unless we are hoping for a Paul-type conversion (or he's already had one)...or is it that people think God is working through him despite his flaws? I am not going to dig up all that I read of him but allegations of rape, he's certainly not a champion for the poor or meek, owns a bunch of casinos...he once said his favorite bible verse is "eye for an eye" apparently not understanding that is no longer in effect. I guess I don't understand the Trump excitement. And I looked into the Bible studies st the White House with some excitement, but the pastor leading them won't let women lead the Bible study classes, has called Catholicism a false religion (I guess you all probably agree with it but I view it as a flawed system as are all denominations, with evil infiltrating here and there with the inquisition, sex abuse stuff etc, with true believers and the Holy Spirit nevertheless in it)...

I don't know. I'm not judging the man, I am just confused.  God allows leaders and I respect that, and I certainly don't hate him.

Send me a wife worth more than rubies and some money, and then I will. I like kids actually(well, most of them) even if I don't have any myself.

I do understand, but until there are no kids left(basically the Kingdom and beyond. Unless a different/same way of making more people exists) then it is inevitable. I hate anyone suffering, and would rather suffer instead. But there is a purpose to it all, and death is not the end of them.

I don’t think of Mr Trump as a hero, just one who seems to understand the value of the division of power in human government, and the constitution as an unchanging document. This conserves the culture for a generation or so.. or that is as long as those 2 are intact. It’s become a personality cult. I think to idolize or to dislike him are both extremes. It’s not the person and as to party I think it’s an issue of which party will lead us to an abyss the more slowly? woe if one party gets control of media and education - or that should be vice versa order, according to today (imo of course :HeartThrob: - I’m half one party half the other.. libertarian ideally, as the opposite has never worked and can’t because of the fragile and flawed character of man (the flesh).
Crazy days!

ps, I’ve always thought of the verse “mercy triumphs over judgment” as mercy trumps judgment.. I wonder how that could be used right now, for u.r...? lol.

Morning! I had to come by and share these verses I was reading today, very familiar I’m sure..

Acts 4:24-31 -
Lord God Almighty, you created heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. 25 And by the Holy Spirit you spoke to our ancestor David. He was your servant, and you told him to say:

“Why are all the Gentiles (unbelievers?)
    so furious?
Why do people
    make foolish plans?
26 The kings of earth
    prepare for war,
and the rulers
    join together
against the Lord
    and his Messiah.”

That very last stood out very much to me.. that it’s the true battle..

The rest of the verses,
27 Here in Jerusalem, Herod[a] and Pontius Pilate got together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel. Then they turned against your holy Servant[b. Jesus, your chosen Messiah. 28 They did what you in your power and wisdom had already decided would happen.

29 Lord, listen to their threats! We are your servants. So make us brave enough to speak your message. 30 Show your mighty power, as we heal people and work miracles and wonders in the name of your holy Servant [c] Jesus.

31 After they had prayed, the meeting place shook. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and bravely spoke God’s message.

:Peace2: :girlheart:

Love those scriptures and yes they apply!  I call myself an independent as well, and voted for third party candidate Gary Johnson though I hear people say voting third party is throwing your vote away or giving your vote to the opposition. But mostly I stay out of politics and try to focus on my own little family and community, praying for the world at large is all I can do.

Some more scriptures:

1 Timothy 2:1-2

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.

Titus 3:9

But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.

1 Peter 2:13-17

Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

John 19:11

Jesus answered him, "You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above. Therefore he who delivered me over to you has the greater sin."

Psalm 146:3

Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

And to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.

It seems we are to live peacefully with all, pray for all, including our leaders, and trust in God.

:cloud9: I have a friend who told me God told him that He was going to use Trump as a trumpet, BEFORE he was elected. I really thought Hillary would get it, as they were pushing for a first woman President so hard (thank God she didn't). I've read he was saved after getting into office, or shortly before and this is why he is so pro Christian, having bible studies every week in the White House, ect. I don't think there is any question God is using him to restore what the cankorworm has eaten of our country. Personally, I feel he is being used as our last chance as a nation to repent of our sins to stave off or lesson judgment coming upon us. He cannot wink at our collective wickedness forever or He would have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah. Blessings... :friendstu:

O man.. you said it.. I very much agree. Thank you, I sometimes forget "staving off or lessoning judgment" and focus on delaying the wave of the increasingly popular agenda's cresting.. which is prophesied, and is likely (sooner? or, later?) to not only crest but have within it, judgments upon believers... The very troublous times.. Not that the Lord won't sustain, but I consider delay very good, mostly because I have grandchildren!

You know..  :Chinscratch: Speaking of repentance.. I think many more folks would repent and believe in the Lord if they heard the clear and simple u.r. glad tidings for all.. [Oh man, the gospel most hear... :sigh: u.r. with it's clear, cutting, or that is easy to be understood message can slice through the fog.. Even if the fog is pretty darn thick.. :mshock: May we all be the sword and not the fog!

Yes that's it.....btw....Kim was a "he".....
