Thanks sheila! I always love to read what you have to say, even if most of the time I am utterly confused by what you are saying.  :laughing7:

Honestly, I don't really understand all(most?) of what you are saying here, but I am sure I will. I have been maturing more, especially in the recent times. I hope I walk in the Spirit avidally and faithfully, and I hope to be a blessing and a joy to others, even if I am wrong. I'll say another thing as well. I have never read through the Bible before!  :eek:

That's right! Scary, isn't it? I have read certain passages of different Books, but I have never fully read it from start to end. I am trying to change that now, as I feel called by God to study His Word recently. I do notice a greater understanding of Scripture than before. Still, not nearly as much as someone as blessed as you or others here, but I am a fast learner if I put my heart into it. I feel probably like the Jews still under the Law of Sin, understanding that it is a shadow of things to come, but unable to mature to Spiritual meat in some aspects, and still living on milk.

Through reading another thread, I found 1 Cor. 13. I remember reading those verses a while ago, but I feel a better understanding of them. Especially of the Love of God. It also came to me. Have you heard the saying "Man is the measure of all things?" I have to disagree with that. I think that God is the measure of all things, for everything is a reflection of Him, and His love is what is left in everything.

1If with the tongues of men and of messengers I speak, and have not love, I have become brass sounding, or a cymbal tinkling;

2and if I have prophecy, and know all the secrets, and all the knowledge, and if I have all the faith, so as to remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing;

3and if I give away to feed others all my goods, and if I give up my body that I may be burned, and have not love, I am profited nothing.

4The love is long-suffering, it is kind, the love doth not envy, the love doth not vaunt itself, is not puffed up,

5doth not act unseemly, doth not seek its own things, is not provoked, doth not impute evil,

6rejoiceth not over the unrighteousness, and rejoiceth with the truth;

7all things it beareth, all it believeth, all it hopeth, all it endureth.

8The love doth never fail; and whether [there be] prophecies, they shall become useless; whether tongues, they shall cease; whether knowledge, it shall become useless;

9for in part we know, and in part we prophecy;

10and when that which is perfect may come, then that which [is] in part shall become useless.

11When I was a babe, as a babe I was speaking, as a babe I was thinking, as a babe I was reasoning, and when I have become a man, I have made useless the things of the babe;

12for we see now through a mirror obscurely, and then face to face; now I know in part, and then I shall fully know, as also I was known;

13and now there doth remain faith, hope, love--these three; and the greatest of these [is] love.

May Grace and Peace be upon you, and your Love of Christ shine through others.

Hi, ML123!
    I love these verses, and I think the 1 and 2 - "Christ the Firstfruits"(1) and "those that are His at His coming"(2), is actually three - "then comes the 'end' when He has subdued all things and hands the kingdom over to the Father that He may be all in all"(3) (and shining through and throughout all)

These verses remind me of the parable Jesus told about how "the Kingdom of God is like 3 measures of meal, which a woman put leaven into the 3 measures of meal, until all is leavened".

Which parable I think runs parallel with the 1 Corinthians 15:22-28 verses - 3 measures of meal / loaves, and 3 harvests of salvation, until "all" is harvested as saved, reconciled and transformed.

We have Jesus, representative of the ancient holy day of "Firstfruits" where one sheaf of barley was waved before the LORD - part of His first advent fulfilling those Spring Holy Days of Passover (Lamb), our Unleavened Bread (of Life) and "Jesus, the Firstfruits".

Then there is those who are His at His return.. the first resurrection, where the dead in Christ rise to meet Him at His coming and those (believers/followers) who are alive and remain in that day, will be changed in a twinkling of an eye and also meet Him at His coming and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

This, if the pattern of holy days fulfilled as prophecy, His return would begin the fall holy days of "Trumpets" - He shall sound the trumpet.. etc..

Then in His long second advent, as we know, is the millennial reign of Jesus upon Earth for 1OOO years..

Notice how the days between "Trumpets" and the second fall holy day, is "1O days"

Second peak of His long 2nd advent is 'Day' of Judgment.. (which follows the rising of all not yet saved)

The 3rd fall holy day is "Tabernacles" and notice the space between 2nd and 3rd fall holy day is "5 days"

Surely(? I have to think) "Tabernacles" will be fulfilled at the 'end' when He hands the kingdom over to the Father, who says in Revelation 21, "Behold I make all things new and I will now Tabernacle with mankind upon Earth made new.. ("All things in heaven and earth having been gathered into Jesus" - Eph 1:10; Col 1:20)

So what is the ancient fall holy day that is between "Trumpets" and "Tabernacles"? 'Day' of Atonement.

Which (surely?) I have to think, as prophecy, coincides with, or represents 'Day' of Judgment - as surprise! Day of Judgment is Day of Atonement for all those of the 2nd resurrection..

This is what I believe and believe He confirms it in many ways via His Word.. in verses, cross references, and in meanings within the hebrew or the greek (within the studying of His Word). I've even come to think of it (nerd that I can be) as DOA (day of atonement/reconciliation) for the DOA ('dead' on arrival folks of the 2nd resurrection, all those not yet born again). And I think following the pattern of days in the fall holy days, that between Day of Atonement/Judgment 'day and Tabernacles, when God becomes all in all, all having been vivified when He "made all things new", as being 5OO years..

So I have to ask myself, what does it take to have one's name written in the book of life? Most common belief is - to "believe". So I had to ask myself, after being resurrected from their grave, and after also witnessing and experiencing, a (long) 'day' of the examination (judging, discerning) of all history and of all the good and evil within it.. Who's not going to "believe"?
All speculation, of course, even if I do think it is evident both in His word and logically..
           :Peace2:
p.s. - imo, excellent question and verse to be studying! :thumbsup:

4The love is long-suffering, it is kind, the love doth not envy, the love doth not vaunt itself, is not puffed up,

5doth not act unseemly, doth not seek its own things, is not provoked, doth not impute evil,

6rejoiceth not over the unrighteousness, and rejoiceth with the truth;

7all things it beareth, all it believeth, all it hopeth, all it endureth.

8The love doth never fail; and whether [there be] prophecies, they shall become useless; whether tongues, they shall cease; whether knowledge, it shall become useless;

9for in part we know, and in part we prophecy;

10and when that which is perfect may come, then that which [is] in part shall become useless.

11When I was a babe, as a babe I was speaking, as a babe I was thinking, as a babe I was reasoning, and when I have become a man, I have made useless the things of the babe;

12for we see now through a mirror obscurely, and then face to face; now I know in part, and then I shall fully know, as also I was known;

13and now there doth remain faith, hope, love--these three; and the greatest of these [is] love.

May Grace and Peace be upon you, and your Love of Christ shine through others.

My bad, then. I get the 2 of you confused sometimes, as you have similar writing styles. I don't usually like to proofread before I post for some reason, so my mistake...

I never knew that though! You 2 seem very knowledgeable on your parts, something I wish I had in this area.

Hey, no need to apologize, so any confusion I get is my fault, not yours. I don't think it is your responsibility for my confusion on such things...

A little bit curious on my part, and hopefully this is somewhat related to this, but I am a little confused on when the Kingdom of God is. I see some saying that it is now, in this age. But I also read from someone on here( forget who, maybe it was you) saying that Jesus said that my Kingdom is not of this age. I also certainly remember reading willieH(by the way, what happened to him? I read him saying he had cancer, but that's about it) explaining how there is no ages and the LoF is now if I understood him correctly.

Just my opinion but I think the kingdom of God is when Christ returns and sets up his kingdom here on earth during the thousand years. This is when those who don't understand the truth will be taught. My understanding is this kingdom was promised to Israel and Christ will rule over them and the disciples will sit on twelve thrones at that time. Someone else may have a different and better understanding?

CHB, your opinion is in line with scripture IMO. Christ proclaimed the gospel of the Kingdom to his own countrymen, the Israelite's. He was not sent to the gentiles. Instead of rejoicing in Christ and His message as King in the Kingdom of God, they crucified Him. The Kingdom of God on earth will only occur once the fullness of the gentiles is completed. This interlude will be the time (present era) when Apostle Paul preaches the gospel of grace to the nations. It is the gospel for us today.

The gospel that Christ and the 12 Apostles proclaimed concerned the establishment of the Kingdom of God, and was primarily focused on the people of Israel and proselytes (converts to Judaism). The gospel that Paul preached and wrote about concerned the message of God's grace to all mankind.

Some questions to ponder:

Why did God call Paul (Saul) to preach the gospel if the 12 Apostles were already preaching it?
Was the gospel proclaimed by the 12 the same as the one proclaimed by Paul?
Is there one baptism or two? Paul said one, others said two.
Did Paul and James disagree on the role of works for a Christian?
The names of the 12 Apostles are mentioned as foundations in the holy city in Revelation, so why isn't Paul mentioned?

So why would God call Saul (Paul) to preach the gospel? This should raise a question as to why would God send Paul to preach the gospel, if the 12 Apostles were already sent preaching the gospel. Is this redundant? Or is it a fact that the gospels were different, and meant for different audiences.

I agree that  CHB   not everyone is spiritually awakened at this short time ,  but sleeps in the dust '',our flesh bodies''  , the seed of Christ is in every man  and woman born under the law    and the Scriptures   in ACTS  17 that proves GODS spirit is in everyone   that lives and breathes   and Do we believe JESUS WHEN HE SAYS  even the dead will hear His voice and Live or not ?
John 5 24Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment.

Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life.

25Truly, truly, I tell you, the hour is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.

26For as the Father has life in Himself, so also He has granted the Son to have life in Himself.... :HeartThrob:

I am certain  of when we literally leave our flesh bodies  , we rise up   , our true existence is just now being awakened  to Life in Christ
Just because we leave our corruptible  condition  we are planted in .

Is God a respecter of persons or not ? GOD is good to all   . Everything serves His purpose  , To know God is to Love Him and everyone will know God from the least to the greatest   , Love will always prevail , it is GODS WORK  and His glory    ..

  I hope to take a crack at those questions  Joe .    I hope to be clear   , I cannot always be clear though , but will try

The 12 apostles were  chosen of God , I believe Judas   lost his position   , death had come to him and  loss of the  ambassadors   for Christ position . but was made an example of   how to not  do ..   I believe the 11  chose Matthias  though lots , but it was Jesus whom does the choosing right ?
I believe JESUS chose   Saul / Paul to take Judas  place   on the road to Damascus  Acts 9 .

Even His name change was  proof , The least shall become the greater servant  of Gods GLORY  though GRACE   ...  Grace  is what saves us and it is the gift of God though the Lord Jesus Christ Body

Paul considered all the works of the law  as a good thing , because  it works death in us , the things that Must die  , all the dead works   comes to nothing being the ministration of death and exposing sin   , This would  explain why   Jesus told John the baptist   at the river Jordan   why HE must be baptized   was to fulfill all righteousness  the law required  though Him   being the perfect sacrifice  [Lamb of GOD without spot or wrinkle   pure WHITE  AND CLEAN],  without sin  , once for all time  for everyone  past , present and future ,  but become as sin  offering for us to fulfill  all things     , without Him we cannot do a thing of our own selves .

It was at the Cross that  Paul preached  , to know nothing but Jesus Christ and Him crucified  ,

that hung on the tree all the ordinances  and  by law  no one could could keep all the law  ,

if you broke one you broke them all ! oh but they still try to  do it  still not believing God and also in Jesus   ,

but than  could   receive the promises  of God s grace  and gift of eternal Life  without  the death to the owner of everything  ,

being the Lord Jesus Christ HIMSELF and pour out Himself  as gifts to men upon all flesh ,

He broke down that middle wall of separation by the sacrifice of Himself making One new man  ,  and it is by  faith in Him  that  receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit  with fire   baptism  that was  the most important    work to obtain  , to go from death to Life in Christ  , To Live Is Christ

Phill 1
21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

22 But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me;

and I do not know which to choose.

23 But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ,

for that is very much better;

24 yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.

25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith,

26 so that your proud confidence in me may abound in Christ Jesus through my coming to you again.

He counted himself already dead   by faith   , just as Abraham did !  , and it was Christ living in Him doing the works  as he rested in   the Spirit  of the Living God  to fulfill all things as promised  GOD  would do ,  that 12 becomes   24  and foundational  and building up the HOLY city of the Living God    and so on to the innumerable    number no one can count   , Gods glory  will fill the earth as it is in heaven because all will Live because of Him . !

Just some thoughts to please consider as I sure have    ..
God bless and keep us all  in His amazing grace and love  for all His creation making them new   .  :HeartThrob:

ML
Hi ML.   :dsunny:

  It is simple and yet so  deep huh?

In Adam all die  and in Christ all shall be made alive  ..  This is a simple and very profound statement , most just gloss over .

But the beautiful and simple truth  of this is  how it is accomplished to me   .

To me as I see it , everyone is baptized in water , born of woman under the law  ..  the water to me is as the red sea  and God made a path though the red sea , destroying  some  enemies , but not all  , it was though Joshua  a  name    that would send them though the Jordan  to dry up the waters unto dry land .
  Jesus fulfilled a spiritual truth  to His own baptism of water  though the Jordan  river , meaning descent  , to go down into an action of moving downward, dropping, or falling.
"the plane had gone into a steep descent"
synonyms:   dive, drop; More
2.
the origin or background of a person in terms of family or nationality....

the reason for the memorial stones set at the Jordan river  , to me this is the Head being formed   , all those whom were called  and purposed in God   from the beginning  were dead in Christ not receiving the promises of God by faith while still alive  , and yet   , The appearing of Jesus CHRIST   was going to fulfill  the law and prophets   [ With Him ]
  This is why Jesus said the son of man has no where to lay His head   yet    [authority ] as He walked among the earth .

  There are a few more things to consider here  though    ,,  The great red dragon of the sea   poured out the flood of lies   creating a watery grave  , all died from this  type and shadow  of DEATH   , but the earth  swallowed up the flood to "help" the woman  [ Body of Christ the  TRUE CHURCH " in the wilderness experience  , this is also the reason why Jesus when sent to the Wilderness by the HOLY SPIRIT  right after his Jordan baptism   to be tempted of the Devil   ,,,  showing a pattern    for us to follow  in understanding ...

Jesus CHRIST  was establishing   His church /body of believers  into the beautiful land ] Being the Head   and destroying the devil  by the WORD OF GOD  /TRUTH  in matt 4   gathering into Himself the disciples  chosen to follow    Him

and we have the new testament  [ testimony of Jesus Christ ]  that establishes    the Spirit of prophecy  , the things to happen from now on   till the end .
Here is the thing to me , all the prophecy of Jesus Christ  fulfilled is found in   the whole word of God  from the beginning  to the end
Paul helped me a lot to see things , because He represents    all of us  now , as Sauls  keeping the   law of Moses [body of death ] , being the  ministration of death   his name  means " asked  "   and He kept the law of God in ignorance  [darkness ] till the Light COME  to Him on the road to  Damascus Biblical Meaning:   the name Damascus is: A sack full of blood, the similitude of burning.  He  was on the  broad path that leads to destruction   ..
  The LIGHT  come and blinded him  , causing the prophecy  to be fulfilled  as a shadow  of the things to come , I will cause the  blind to see and those that see be made blind .Isaiah  35  and John 9    ..   scales of pride fell off his eyes  [ Leviathan  is the king over all the children of pride  [ Job 41   the monster /beast of the sea ]  there is a land monster [Job 40] too though  both are spoken of in Revelation  ...  pride was blinding him  to kill those new born babes in Christ ...

   I love how Paul  , His new name and purpose   meaning small or  the least in the kingdom of God  will be great   because of Gods   grace poured out   upon him !!!   ..

Paul said  in Romans 7 and 8   ,  He now has the mind of Christ  / the head is in place   , the authority of Jesus Christ is  making  him whole  and will deliver him from the body of death    though the Spirit of just men made perfect though suffering !!!    JESUS  told him  I will show you the things you must suffer for my names sake ... and that would be  preaching the gospel  and good news of Jesus Christ and to know nothing but Jesus Christ and Him crucified   , receiving  the promise of Gods HOLY SPIRIT AND FIRE BAPTISM!! burning off the things that offend  and that the things that remain are pure and Holy to God ,   as  you will be tried but as though fire  , this chastening of the Lord   is receiving sons into Him kingdom    for His great glory and LOVE   THAT REMAINS !!   :dsunny:

The new bodies are Living sacrifices unto God   that never die ...
  This is just a quick summary   of  many things  , that may or may not make  any sense to you  or anyone now ,
  But felts compelled to share it just the same  ..
God  will open our eyes and hearts  and ears to hear His Voice  and  to receive us unto Himself   .  we wait on the  LORD to do His  miracles [signs and wonders ],   in everyone as He promises to do   , each in their own order ...

:HeartThrob:

being twice dead.  the evil decieving spirits have done many miracles/lying signs in His name/and the scape goat has all sin of the people

confessed onto his head by the High Priest aspart of the final act of atonement..being represented inthe scriptures as goat-shaped

demons in the wilderness...pushed over the precipice[abyss] to never enter the Holy City[heaven] again.

they are alsoportrayed as 'that wicked generation" that perishes in the wilderness of this world...when the great deliverance from Egypt

was worked/and as perishing in the red sea when men exodus[exit-the-dust]to go the promised land/heavenly inheritance..

satan andhis demons[imagesof the beast/man of sin/serpent/dragon] portrayes the sonof perdition..wholoses his position inthe

kingdom of God...he may havegained the whole world..he thought..but haslost his soul[the onlyone lost][do one act of worship and

i willgive you allthese kingdoms] but has lost his position forever inthe kingdom ofheaven...sellingitforabowlofthered[to eat Adamsflesh

blood/dust]

when Jesus was addressing these offspring of viper spirits....on the religiousleaders[overcome church/saints] in His day...He asked..

'whowillsave you from gehenna?'  referring to the burning of the children inthe fire to Baal teaching the demons decieved the Israelites

with.the demons will be burned andthrown out like the trash they are..after Godhasfinished allHis work. :2c:

in my opinion the 'climax'  verse in 1 Cor 15 is '26 "The last enemy to be destroyed is death. '........surely this includes/ means 'the second death' ?...so, there it is...the second death/ the lake of fire' will be destroyed...what else can this mean but that the ones in the lake of fire will, ultimately, be redeemed and freed ?........after all, the people in the lake of fire will include some of our loved ones, friends relatives...how else could the Bible state there are no tears in Heaven except the ones lost, our loved ones,  shall be found again, and safe with us in Heaven with Jesus.

  I see only ONE Resurrection , that is Christ   that will rise up out of death   ,  the first was always  to destroy  the works of Satan  and took that power away from him totally  , by becoming the Lord of the dead and the living  and hold the keys of the Kingdom  ALONE  , by His own blood and death of the cross fulling all righteousness required by the law ONCE   for all time fulfilling all the law of Moses and the song of Moses  shall be sung  in righteousness  and the song of the Lamb the victory song  over death  making a short work of it  [in one day ]forever more ...

Blessed in the one whom receives this  Living Word  in their hearts  ..the second death holds no power at all over them nor can be harmed by the second death  .
The second death is the lake of fire that Babylon  holds many captive too  , She will be burned with fire  of    GODS love and jealousy   , His glory he will not give to another  , false religion   she will be destroyed  in the DAY OF THE LORDS WRATH OF THE LAMB

Isaiah 42 The Lord's Chosen Servant
...7To open blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the dungeon And those who dwell in darkness from the prison. 8"I am the LORD, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, Nor My praise to graven images. 9"Behold, the former things have come to pass, Now I declare new things; Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you."...

Rev 6 The Sixth Seal: Terror
...15Then the kings of the earth, the nobles, the commanders, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and free man, hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. 16And they said to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb. 17For the great day of Their wrath has come, and who is able to withstand it?"...

  This to me is new life from the dead ,   as the revealing of Christ is opening the seals   to openly   reveal Gods WISDOM working    in the earth  humbling   all His creation  ,  as we SEE JESUS COME  forth  and proclaim HIS KINGDOM TO THE LIVING  GOD ..

  The short work in Romans 9 The Calling of the Gentiles

...27Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: "Though the number of the Israelites is like the sand of the sea, only the remnant will be saved.

28For the Lord will carry out His sentence on the earth with thoroughness and decisiveness."

29It is just as Isaiah predicted: "Unless the Lord of Hosts had left us descendants, we would have become like Sodom, we would have resembled Gomorrah."...

  Isaiah 1   , God gave her   time and much  long awaiting to repent   from the beginning  but when her times comes it will be a great relief    no more pain , nor sorrows and  tears for all those former things will be done away with in Christ  reigning  and making it all new   and complete in GOD  !!
Jesus is the reward  !!
