IT IS TOO WONDERFUL!!  JUDGES 13;18

sheila

I saw the angel of the Lord ascend in fire.   the strong man that binds the tares for burning....they marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded

the camp of God's people..the city He loves.  But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.  This is the ascenion/rapture of the bride

as He destroys all the power of the enemy.[what if you saw the angels of heaven ascending and descending on the Son of Man
[come up here]

Then I saw a new heaven and a New earth  I saw the Holy city coming down out of heaven prepared as a bride[it was granted unto her to be clothed in clean white

   linen]
[
Now the dwelling of God is with men..and He will dwell with them......when the Glory returns unto the temple...truth God reigns...the man of sin

that had desolated and sit on the throne is done away with by the breath of His coming[satan rebuked in truth]

Acts 6;15  All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked 'intently" at Stephen,

AND THEY SAW THAT HIS FACE WAS LIKE THE FACE OF AN ANGEL.......

FOR THE CHILDREN OF THE RESURRECTION ARE AS THE ANGELS

2 COR 3;18......  AND WE WHO WITH UNVEILED FACES ALL REFLECT THE LORD'S GLORY ARE BEING TRANSFORMED INTO HIS LIKENESS WITH EVER

INCREASING GLORY  WHICH COMES FROM THE LORD WHO IS THE SPIRIT

Genesis 1:1 states that God made the heaven & the earth, not Hell.

John 1:3 states that apart from YHVH (Jesus) nothing was created.  No exception was made for Hell.

Therefore, Hell never existed, does not now exist, and cannot exist.  The Lake of Fire is not Hell, btw.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

Hell was created in latin, by the Romans, somewhere between the 3rd and 6th century as they decided to transcribe early scriptures and texts from greek and hebrew into their language.  But it will always make the majority of Christians very happy to preach hell, because that means they can one up other people, and use that to convert them.  That always precedes having the person state the magic words, and then they feel this glorious power since they've been instrumental in bringing that poor hapless soul to salvation.  Remember, no one knows another one's heart quite as well as evangelicals.

yayaa..'eternal hell' is real useful for it's proponents..makes 'em feel like mini saviors, like they got 'power', like one day they'll 'get even ', like the 'god' they worship got burning raging vengeance and boiling furious wrath on his mind ..kind of like 'the sons of thunder' who wanted to rain down fire on the unbelievers  u can sense Jesus exasperation with those guys  :sigh: ..we all know what Jesus told those guys..yup. :laughing7:
"I have sworn by Myself, The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance".Isaiah 45:23

One of the problems (just one of the problems) with fire-forever is that Christians seem to almost gloat to think that their personal enemies are headed to Hell.  Just as the pagans say that when you point a finger at someone else, three fingers are pointing back at you, these same Christians, I'm sure, have their own personal enemies who would like them to be headed to Hell.  So it goes, a sort of passive-aggresive eye-for-an-eye, and in those terms we would all go to Hell.  Happily, there is no such place except in people's minds, and God would save us from it if it did exist.

Pagans werent taught to love their enemies. Hell made perfect sense to them since their gods were made in their own image. Vengeful, remorseless, cruel.

Oh, and something I found in my recent research - the pagan "Hel"  became the [?]Christian[?] "Hell."  Syncretism at its finest.

As I have said before, I find this to be so true. Totally opposed to the verses to love our enemies; pray for those who sin against you, and so on.

Luke 6:
27 "But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

32 "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful".

D.
7"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened....

Matthew 7:7 -8

Hell is a place of personal torment  , you can run from everyone and everything , but you cannot run away   from yourself  , your own thoughts can torment you to death  , worries and cares of the life , fear driven ,  without reason or purpose    etc ...
Being bound up in disobedience    like Cain was ,   It was only until he talked to God did he get any  relief   ,   Expressing his punishment was to much for him to bear     and the Lord  spared his life  , even as miserable  as  it was   aimlessly wandering  in no mans land   and hoping no one would find him  and kill him  , that fear of death was BORN  in   Cain from   thought   and   guilt of  disobedience  , there is your  sign     :sigh:

Gen 4  14"Behold, You have driven me this day from the face of the ground; and from Your face I will be hidden, and I will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me."

15So the LORD said to him, "Therefore whoever kills Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold."

And the LORD appointed a sign for Cain, so that no one finding him would slay him.

16Then Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Rev 20:14 (Concordant Literal Version) - And death and the unseen were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death--the lake of fire.

Young's Literal - And the death and the hades were cast to the lake of the fire -- this [is] the second death

King James - And death and 'hell' (very poor translation!:) were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

I was thinking this morning how the fire-forever folks must pick and choose [hunt and peck] so-called "proof" texts, and we know they must also ignore a boatload of contrary texts.  In my reading through my KJV, I find that nearly all texts can be easily fitted into a "No-Hell" model, while very few can be shoehorned into the "Hell" model, mostly by way of bad translation.

Yeah it is amazing how the people who believe in "eternal a torment called hell" makes them almost gleeful they ain't a going and are very comfortable that a great many are. :sigh:

Hey I kid. But when you say, ...."though many thoughts have been hell  to live through" You are saying..thoughts have been (grave, pit, unseen) to live through?
Have we all not taken the misinterpetation of the word and worked it into our vocabulary? If there is no hell why do we who don't believe in hell use it represent such a place?
I'm just rambling :Chinscratch: :HeartThrob: :dsunny:

sheila

coz 'hell' is a pit and the grave...........he who digs a pit will fall into it....

if I make my bed in 'hell' Thou art there...if the blind lead the blind they will both fall in the ditch.

hell is a real word that has a real meaning. because men have given it a definition that is in error..doesn't

take away the truth of it's real meaning.

juat as metaphorically we can 'paint ourselves into a corner' metaphorically we can fail to see what lies ahead

and our actions/decisions land is in a hole/ditch etc.

sin, death and the grave is a pit and snare of which Our Father and Jesus have had to pull us from.....

bushy

Of course the real word is sheol or hades, not hell which now days means torture in fire.
