On the contrary.
The Gospel is rules/laws set in stone and it's immovable good.

Everything God did/does is for paving the road His (ultimate) purpose which is the Gospel. If the Gospel is literally in the stars, why do you (seem to assume) He didn't do the same in many other aspects of life?

God has ser forth many principles in the creation, in the templ, in the histories etc.

But Jesus often broke the rules. He said, The wwind blows wher it wills, nd u hear the sound but u dont kno where it comes or where it goes, so it is with evryone who is born of the spirit.
Paul spokethat we are God s lettrs, writtn not on tablets of stone,but upon human hearts.

Traditions can offr insights but i wouldnt interpet the word thru them myself.

All I'm gonna say is this: It amazes me that those who claim God is perfect in all His way, declare His laws inferior and promote lawlessness.

The Jerusalem council of Acts 15 declared gentiles need not follow Mosaic Law to be saved.. "let no one judge you concerning meats or holy days or sabbaths".

The POWER of God for transformation begins and continues "by faith".. "not of works lest aNy one should boast" (oh my! imagine!! :laughing7: :eek: )

Jesus said to simply not murder is not enough, to simply not commit unfaithfulness is not enough.. Paul, apostle to the gentiles, wrote the law is a "tutor" (babysitter) for un-born-again persons..

And almost all New Testament letters declare the law is not able to change a person's heart which is what is needed, as there is only one source of all "goodness".. Paul wrote that to "mix law with grace is to fall from grace" as it dilutes (imo) the POWER of God for transformation - which is the goal and what is needed (desperately! :smile: ) Leaning on the law to 'please God' is to disobey the gospel (Hebrews 4) and I believe the New Testament is telling us it implies some inherent source of goodness in our self, or self as a source of goodness.. And grace of course is not license..! :eek: :eek:

To observe the Sabbath.. and to not eat meats, may indeed be quite superior.. but not required in the New Covenant.. "Let each one be fully persuaded in their own mind" - Top enemies of the gospel in the infant 'church' were the "Judaizers" and the "gnostics". Either one could have shipwrecked the faith if allowed..

The power to do Gods will is by the Spirit and not the letter.

:cloud9: I think Christ is the book of life, also, and the more of Christ we display we become books that can be read of all men, the living Word made flesh, an active transformation that goes on continuously until He be all in all. My  :2c: Blessings....

I think the book of life is a very deep book ;o)

As it is written, ""And the thrones were seated and the books were opened"....... books? hmmmm

I can't wait to read the book of remembrance from malachi....."And those who knew the Lord spoke together and the Lord opened a book of remembrance".

It was Rev 13:8 that caught my attention. It shows that the Lake of Fire is not "eternal" but only for a time to lead unto salvation.

Whitewings may want to comment on the wedding assignmets as I may be confused somewhat on the Bride and the Body... :smile:
