How ugly is man?

I wonder sometimes as I'm sure some do as well when we read of the atrocities that the human being can sink to. How can a human being do such horrible things?
Well the Lord God knew from His starting, that the human breathing creature would have what I will call ugly, embedded in his flesh.
We wonder how a human can sink to some lows, but the Creator knew what His creation would be capable of. We know man, without the knowledge of the act, can kill one of his own.

Rom 7:18  For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

  begins and completes metamorphisis for the whole body.

     I liken Jesus to that 'special cell'..

I know about the change, all I was trying to say is that when we see humans being ugly, is that it's all in the duckling and the swan, and only Jesus can change it and keep it pretty. :HeartThrob:

Really?!  That's like the bit of leaven that leavens the whole lump of dough.  Perhaps Christ in You is like that special cell:  Christ in Sheila, Christ in Micah, Christ in ____________ [your name here].

Micah, I was thinking about this earlier this morning, in response to a Facebook post.  I saw a movie years ago, Lion of the Desert.  It was a patriotic, nationalistic Quaddifi-funded epic about the Italian invasion of Libya ~1925.  It is a truly great movie, and surprisingly, it offers quite a measure of sympathy to several of the Italian enemies - we see them as human beings, not cut-outs.  Anyway, close to the start, we meet an rather plain-looking woman, whose husband has been killed fighting the Italians.  As I said, she was not much to look at, but by the end of the film, I felt love for her character.  At the end, she was being hung for some minor rule infraction in the internment camp she was held in.  She prayed with the noose around her neck, "Thank you for the life that You give us."  Then some soldier kicked the chair out from under her.  The movie offers us many other examples of the best and worst of humanity, just as life itself does.  Take  :HeartThrob: however, for there is still much good in this world, it just goes largely unpublicized.

My point is that the ugly that what seems deplorable in todays news, should not shock us, like how could he/they/she do such a thing. Yes, when we are drawn, we are changed and able to overcome.

"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
