Christ has liberated us to be free. Stand firm then and don't submit again to a yoke of slavery.
Galatians Five one

Lazarus Short

Don't forget to mention book/chapter/verse, pls.
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

YHVH = Behold the Nail, Behold the Hand = Jesus

Acts 15 10
Now then, why are you testing God by putting a yoke on the disciples'
necks that neither our ancestors nor we have been able to bear?

O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

In that day the LORD will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, With His fierce and great and mighty sword, Even Leviathan the twisted serpent; And He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.

As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;

from Psalm 41 "as the deer pants for streams of living water, so my heart yearns for thee.."
I can so identify with this verse!
And there is a song that uses this verse:

                  As The Deer
   Verse 1
As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after thee
You alone are my hearts desire
And I long to worship thee

   Verse 2
You're my friend and You are my brother,
Even though you are a king.
I love you more than any other,
     So much more than anything.

   Verse 3
I want You more than gold or silver,
     Only You can satisfy.
You alone are the real joy Giver,
And the apple of my eye.

   Chorus
You alone are my strength my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my hearts desire
And I long to worship thee

Yet You are our Father,
even though Abraham does not know us
and Israel doesn't recognize us.
You, Yahweh, are our Father;
from ancient times,
Your name is our Redeemer.

Me too.  I'm just so happy... really blessed that jabcat started this thread.  There have been times these past several months when I would go to this thread and read through all the one-liners (the occasional two-liners)... and many times, I SEE something in one of the verses that I had not seen before.

Psalm 143:8
Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for I lift up myself unto Thee.
