I know I am probably beating a dead horse here but it is only because I really want people to understand that Christ CAN overcome in us now, here, before we die!! We CAN be set free from sin! There is absolutely no pride in it, on the contrary, it is a degrading, crushing, and humiliating experience where He exposes our sins, our flesh is crushed and ripped to shreads and all we can do is beg Him for mercy and the removal of those sins. It is partaking in the cross, spiritually. We die, He is raised. He gets all the glory because it is all HIM. We can do nothing to please God apart from having faith in Him.

I agree, the thought of overcoming can become a point of pride as if "I've"done anything.  I am just brought back to its no longer I that live but Christ in me, when overcoming is taking place, and its no longer I that live but Christ in me, when I fail.  His grace is sufficient.  I can do nothing of myself for myself.

To me, this overcoming, I mean, the real root of it.

WW-   I don't want to turn this into an age/for ever thread but because harvests are used as the start of punishment there must also be something that signifies the end of punishment.

Just re-reading this thread. I seem to have overlooked this question.... :(

There are 3 stages in a harvest.

a] The actual harvest.
b] Processing the harvest.
c] The final product.

a] All havests are done in a similar way. Cut with a cicle.
c] Saintly material.

It's b that you are wondering about. First of all farmers don't plant stuff to destroy it.
Why harvest it when it will be destroyed anyway. Just let it rot on the field. Or simply burn the whole field down. Why even plant it?
Why send Revelation's harvesting angels? hy thresing of the grain? Or threading the grapes?
It are all preperation methods.

LoF doesn't contradict the harvests. It isn't about destroying harvests. It simply tells the same story in a different way.
It's a stage b preperation.
The resurrections are stage-a from the harvests.
