Let me say that I get totally mystified as to how a post gets "hijacked."
This one started out on Lowered and somewhere around the word "brake" if fell apart(lol) :laughing7:

As I have stated I have read Eby and others for 30 some years also on my front license plate is Psalm 90:3. I believe in all the
"RE's" in the Bible, restore, rebuild, reconcile and the way its taught that we will return to the spirit where we, as is said were lowered from, goes totally against I Cor. 15:45 that man became a living soul. I will always take the Bible over a mans word.
But it reads in John 1:3-8  "If any one may not be born from above"      Joh 3:6  that which hath been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which hath been born of the Spirit is spirit.

Now this person that is "born again" "born from above" "born of the Spirit" this person now walking in the Spirit meets the calamities of the world that he is lowered into, and needs to walk, not the ways of the world, but in the Spirit, this person will return to the fullness of God who is Spirit. But that man of I Cor.15:45 became a living/breathing soul and was not from spirit.

I can understand that maybe. Thank you Peace and Love Through Jesus

I think you shouldn't complain. I've seen threads going off-topic at the 1st reply
Plus it's you to blame. You got an answer and asked for proof. That's like asking to go off-topic. You should know that after a few thousand posts  :icon_jokercolor:

Seriously now; I think the thread is still on-topic.
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

Just reminding you,

Adam wasn't born of flesh.

7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
--Gen 2

...Adam, a son of God.

WhiteWings

Question: was Eve born of flesh? We seem to have 4 types of birth.
Adam from dust.
Eve from a rib.
Rest of humanity from a womb.
Jesus.

It contradicts with my own understanding but I will give it to you for consideration.
Adam was some sort of perfected body like Jesus.
After they got kicked out of Eden God gave them animal skins as a covering.
Did God put carnal flesh on a perfected body?

No.
Adam was made of dust and was made alive by that breath. Two different events imo.
If not Adam would be wind.

I think Satan caused it to happen, but that's just me.

The man had flesh before he ate from the tree, but he was not ashamed.  Is that because there was nothing to be ashamed of?  because his nakedness was covered/clothed--as we are talking about on the other thread.

I thought you were asking about Adam being born/created, not about making mudpies.

WhiteWings

The Bible teaches about a mudpie maker called Potter. So I ask about mudpies.

The pot is made to hold something.  For Adam it was the breath of God.

Have you ever thought about how other religions worship the breath?

That's something I'm not disagreeing with.
But the breath is passed on from generation to generation. Life is in the blood. That life/blood gets transfered in the womb.
If not it would mean humans/animals are able to create life. I think they can only pass it on.

I've trouble enough with Christianity. So I'll just focus on that  :laughing7:

It seems to me you give the adversary a lot more credit than is due. And by doing so you make the Lord God out as second rate weaker the adversary.

Man/flesh, dust+breath=flesh If as you say man was not born of flesh, the the Bible is in error. ICor.15:45

Let's for now ignore who caused it.
God gave them animal skins. Agreed?
Do you think that event changed their bodies from "something" to what bodies are right now?

mankind/adam was not born 1Ti 2:13  for Adam was first formed, then Eve,
That which was formed IS flesh. You have mistaken the "breath of life" for SPIRIT/GOD

sheila

and the blood gets it's breath from the power of the prince of the air/and the breath of life from God......anything strangled you are not to eat...

basically 1st Adam's breath of life was strangled/choked  on the fruit of the tokogae....that is why Jesus said 'you have no life in yourselves"

Basically He did mouth to mouth recessitation to bring forth spiritual life in us.....

The way I understand Molly she agrees with that too with the exception of Adam.

"God gave them animal skins." I do not agree.
Gen 3:21  And Jehovah God doth make to the man and to his wife coats of skin, and doth clothe them. Nothing about animal skins.

Yes I know and it seems to be so, that adam was not "born"[proceated] of flesh, adam is the first of all flesh and thats what adam reproduced, flesh. If as Molly says he was born of "spirit" isnt that what adam would bring forth spirit?

God said to Adam who told you were naked?

So Adam was already naked, but someone or something told him. I believe it was the knowledge gained from the tree of good and evil.
