The oldest known manuscripts agree with each other 99% of the time.  The scriptures, accurately translated, Spirit revealed - reliable.   Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.  Heb. 12:2

Copper books should be in a much better state than the DSS. It took decades to translate the DSS. So even if they are in good condition it likely will take years before translatiosn are done.
How they reflect UR depends a lot on who made them. The DSS were written by a bunch of hyper Calvinists.
1 Timothy 2:3-4  ...God our Savior;  Who will have all men to be saved...
John 12:47  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Romans 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in the one who declares the ungodly righteous ...

I have a bad feeling about these= counterfeit.

Don't ask my why--Just the first thing that popped into my head when I heard about them.

PS I just read the article you posted, Jab.  I see the Israeli's are calling them forgeries.  Interesting.

from your link:

'Sealed books were used by early Christian writers as a code for secretteaching; they were heavily persecuted and needed to protect their knowledge. Until now, no such book has ever been found. The codices werediscovered in an area to which Christian refugees are known to have fled after the fall of Jerusalem in 70CE/AD, and where important documents from thesame period have previously been found. The existence of a significant, hidden collection of sealed codices is mentioned in the Christian Bible's Bookof Revelation and in other biblical books'

Only in the TCB not in other translations. Did you write that down James?

Where?

YLTRev 20
12 and I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and scrolls were opened, and another scroll was opened, which is that of the life, and the dead were judged out of the things written in the scrolls--according to their works;

well, you know they may be playing out their anti-bible end times--killed the atlantic ocean last year, killing the pacific ocean this year [tunafish, anyone?]--
so this fits right in.

We'll have to wait for the anti-Christ to break the code.

4 I cried and cried because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.

Who would more than likely have used copper to write on? I don't see anywhere in the Bible where it mentions anything about copper books. Usually it says scrolls. I do hope it turns out to be authentic and does give us more knowledge about things. I guess we will just have to wait and see. Hey, maybe it is one of the books of the Ten Commandments, they were written on stone? There were two sets of them and could be held in one hand.

I agree Molly. They were smuggled into Israel by a beduin's father who found them years before.  Really? Sounds fishy at best.

CHB,

Some article state copper. Other lead. Yet other both.
The "Silver scrolls" are 2600 years old. Not really scrolls but tiny amulets with 1 verse each.
So if silver is used why not copper?

The books are (likely) not written by the Apostles. Perhaps it's more recent than all the other books.

They are not the ten commandents because there are 70 books with each 5-15 pages.
The 10 commandments were not encrypted.
