If I am a troll, then Jesus and the disciples were trolls as was John the baptist.
Look how well people got along with them. And look how those people got rid of the problem, or so they thought they got rid of it.
And another thing, this troll matter doesn't belong on this board. It probably should go in Members Lounge.

Tony, I am hoping to not name names here.
My understanding of what a troll is is that a troll puts forth his or her agenda in a sneaky kind of way and I sure don't lump Jesus into that category. I would lump myself into that category and I have heard that others do it too on other boards. You know, how we may go to another forum, maybe one that believes differently than we do and then in a sly kind of way, we try to either try to undermine that board by causing confusion or just being ridiculous and wasting their time or by slyly putting forth our beliefs in some way.
cp
Trolls typically do care about (in the nature of what they believe or want to learn) what they post, they usually post something that can be very emotional to watch members of a forum come in and then start arguing with one another over something. Or they just like seeing responces to something they write. They usually are not very interactive unless they see an opportunity to fan the flames started by their first post.
A troll rarely sticks with a thread, in fact many trolls have been known to post the first post then never respond to anything written.
I disagree with some of what TonyN writes but I would not consider what he does post trolling.
Guys.. :icon_flower: :icon_flower:
Trolls normally come with a Hidden agenda and to cause disruption where ever possible...who subtley go about undermining the guidelines given in what is permitted and what is NOT
Tony is NOT a Troll, But AT times he does Bait ...Baiting too is Not permitted....Its a Fine line when one Jests( ie when posters know each) to when one does it to undermine and illicite a response from another.
so we can clear this up once and for all ..Tony .. kindly quit it with sarcasm from now on in, ...and that goes for all others too, if ya dont Like it, find another board to post on....enoughs enough..

As far as what to do with trolls? Well, Trolls actually serve a good purpose and can bring up issues that are interesting to discuss.
The best way to beat a troll is to discuss and and respect one anothers opinions. A troll will bore of that very quickly.

QuoteA troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.
QuoteFlamebait is a message posted to a public Internet discussion group, such as a forum, newsgroup or mailing list, with the intent of provoking an angry response (a "flame") or argument over a topic the troll often has no real interest in.

"An Internet troll is a person who sends duplicitous messages to get angry responses. The term derives from the phrase "trolling for suckers" and ultimately from trolling for fish.
The term is frequently abused to slander opponents in heated debates and is frequently misapplied to those who are ignorant of etiquette." - Wikipedia

I think that sometimes someone carries many trademarks or aspects of being a troll, without really being one. You say to yourself he can't be that [insert pejorative] it must be an act. People can also engage in troll like behavior like baiting, being evasive, going on tangents making nonsensical remarks etc. and be completely unaware of doing such. Of course in a forum like this, there's the false teacher aspect to take into consideration too. But then the question is, is that person purposely trying to mislead, or are they just misguided, disturbed or delusional?
That's why it's always best to pray over it first. And pray over it for a while.
Then if the individual is in need of correction, you can provide it more lovingly and insightfully that way.
And yes, if you're getting bad vibes, share it with a Mod.

I don't even know what a troll, in the way it is used on forums, is but I have been strongly accused of being one in the past.
And what conclusion did you draw from that? That the accuser was making satanic attacks against you and if they didn't repent, you were going to have to turn them over to God deal severely with them? Personally, I know when someone accuses me of trolling, it's usually my fault, because I'm not representing myself correctly or appropriately. Sometimes I really am trolling, but attempting to do so constructively.
Little trivia for those who might not know; troll when used in a textual forum is a verb, not a noun. If you ever see a boat going slowly with fishing rods hanging out the stern, they are trolling for fish. Or it can simply be called a troll. In a sense we all troll in a way when we post. I mean you put out this question hoping for a bite, correct?
Quote from: Paul Hazelwood on February 18, 2009, 08:05:02 PM
Trolls typically do care about (in the nature of what they believe or want to learn) what they post, they usually post something that can be very emotional to watch members of a forum come in and then start arguing with one another over something. Or they just like seeing responces to something they write. They usually are not very interactive unless they see an opportunity to fan the flames started by their first post.
A troll rarely sticks with a thread, in fact many trolls have been known to post the first post then never respond to anything written.
I disagree with some of what TonyN writes but I would not consider what he does post trolling.
In my experience there are trolls who not only attempt to dominate a thread, they try to dominate an entire forum. I've known of trolls, usually accompanied by a couple of cohorts (which may actually be "clones" or "sockpuppets" they invented for themselves) shut down an unmoderated group. I know of one secular newsgroup who had a couple of trolls that someone actually created websites about trying shame them. Another thing you'll notice is that the group is always talking about who their arch troll is. If you do an archive search of the troll's name, you get like 736865655 hits. If the troll goes away for long enough, then a sub troll will come in and try imitating the arch troll to fill in the gap. Someday I'm going to have to write a thesis on all this.

Also it seems there are various types of trolls and various ways they operate but a few things seem to be needed to be a troll like causing dissent and frustration just to cause these things. Or to post things mainly to get attention and control.
Also a troll seems to be someone who thinks he or she can do no wrong because he or she has the truth in more abundance than others and will do and say things very subltly until cornered then they will react with self protective acts. A good troll is a great manipulator and can be humble at will or on call when necessary and can expertly skirt issues when needed.
I think the biggest sign of a troll to me is someone who craves attention and will say just about anything to get it! This is a master at work.

Brian it is scary to me how you word things and think up things to ask because you take the words right out of my mouth. Most of your posts I just sit back and say, yeah, that's what I wanted to say. Like when you talked about being accused of hijacking that thread that you started. The thread you started! (Which by the way never did get responded to as far as I could see.)

An Internet troll is a person who sends duplicitous messages to get angry responses. The term derives from the phrase "trolling for suckers" and ultimately from trolling for fish.
The term is frequently abused to slander opponents in heated debates and is frequently misapplied to those who are ignorant of etiquette." - Wikipedia
To hijack a thread is to take a thread over and take the thread in a different direction from its original intent. Nathan hijacked Brian's thread by accusing me of all sorts of things and Brian joined in the hijacking as did you, cp. Those posts were deleted because I complained to the mods but some evidence remains.
I am beginning to wonder who the real troll(s) is/are here.
I came with the Scripture. I answered all the questions with a biblical perspective. They didn't like it so they slandered me.
cp, I don't crave attention. What I crave is that people are not hoodwinked into believing all sorts of balogna.
In case you guys didn't realize it, this is an forum where we are allowed to discuss our beliefs. It doesn't say that the requirement to posting here is you have to kiss everyone's butts and agree with everything they say.

Hi Everyone,
It may be that some on here consider me a troll, I don't know and don't much care as long as God knows my heart and intentions.
The reason I say this is, I don't get to post much because of time limitations and also because there are times I cannot log in to Tentmaker. I don't start threads because I am afraid I can't get back on here to answer any of the questions any one may have. Also, I just don't have the time that some on here apparently has. I have a few minutes a day to post and that is about it, by the time I get through reading the new post my time has been spent.
Sometimes it may appear one is a troll when actually they are not. That is why Jesus said "judge not lest ye be judged". Only He knows the heart. Thank God no human has the authority to judge whether or not I will be saved. :happy3:

David is a type of Christ picking up the five smooth stones to slay the mind of Goliath.
1 Samuel 17:40
And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine. We don't know which one he picks, do we? So it could be any of them.

No argument there at all. It's not others head's were to be submitting . .but only our own. This is why it's tough to avoid arguments sometimes . . .people apply Scriptures to everyone but themselves. I believe this was why Jesus told Peter to put away his sword . . .until we learn how to use the Word of God in the intent with which it was written, we have no business welding it around . . .all we end up doing is damaging the ability for others to hear anything at all.
You cannot be a troll, trolls hide under bridges and only come out if they think they won't be caught.
:cloud9: Well guys, it's ALL about Christ, so the changed hearts made as ONE, since He is our heart of flesh after the change, celestial flesh, the flesh of Christ, then the stones are a picture of Christ also, as is David, as is the hand that holds the stone, and makes sure it hits it's mark.
I have a thing about rocks; ask anyone, I've drug tons of them home for rock gardens and ponds, LOL.....and one day as I was sitting just listening to the sound many flat rocks and stones were making in a small waterfall near here, the Lord dropped into my Spirit that THAT same sound in the Spirit gives Him pleasure also. It's because His Spirit is running over the stony places of our heart, when we pray in the Spirit, making them to be smooth (less resistance of the flesh), until eventually they will become as petras, a small grain of sand that He can cover with His nature, like a pearl covers it.
This is why the gates of the city are as pearls; WE become gates (in union with another = apostles and prophets the foundation of the church) for others to enter into the Kingdom with. We literally have the ability through the Spirit of Him to lift others up out of walking thru the realm of sand (the rebellious walk thru dry places) and into the realm of walking in the Spirit. This is how we bear the burdens of the weak, by lifting them up. As Taffy, cp and I agreed on in another post, its the same messages over and over again. Isn't He awesome? Blessings.....

Hey Card . . .what do you see with the law ordering people to be stoned . . .how does the stone apply to this picture?
I sometimes think that the stone that hits us is spiritual but we often think that the stone that hits us should work for someone else, so we can stone people to death in that manner. Kill them in a sense because our stones are not meant to hit anyone else.
When we take what is given to us and throw it at people with an expectation (law) that they "get" it, we can in effect stone them to death.
:cloud9: The letter scriptures are also as stones; so when the man in the OT was picking up sticks on the sabbath day, he was to be stoned. Wood speaks of our carnal nature (ark made of craptim wood), so he was adding to his carnal nature. So when we who have been raised up to walk in the Spirit by Christ, see someone who is adding to his carnal nature, on this the sabbath day, we are to stone them with stones also.
The difference is, the stones we are supposed to have, have already been smitten for the LIFE OF THE SPIRIT (revelation) to come out of, so we are in effect, to give them life through the scriptures, not death. The same principle would apply to the 5 acting as 1, ie. get all 5 in agreement with the Lord in HIS pattern, which was His intention, but He knew we couldn't do it, with the Spirit WITH measure. Blessings....
Sorry....just noticed this format won't let me say the name of the wood used for the ark, LOL.....

O.K. Taffy, I see you are not going to budge on this matter that I requested Brian's post be deleted. Why would I ask to have mine deleted when mine was the truth?
And that begs the question Taffy,
You being a moderator, and you having read what I posted (seeing as how you already told me what it was about), why didn't you delete it? Obviously it wasn't as bad as it was made to be.
And this still evades the issue, Taffy. It puts the focus back on me where it really is about me being alowed to post on these boards without fear of being character assassinated.
Now can we finally get this behind us and get on with life?
:cloud9: I don't know exactly CP, but He showed me that thru the fiery furnace. There were actually 5 present; the 3 Hebrew children, the Lord, and the fire that didn't burn THEM, was the Father, ie. our God is a consuming fire. Once He gave me that, then I could see how the "hand" of God, the 5 fold, could be if they were operating as Him in the earth, the manifestation of His grace. Blessings...
PS. Thanks for letting your thread go in another direction :HeartThrob:

Paul, you are on a roll!
Well, it makes me think of Benjamin getting 5 times
the amount at Joseph"s table.
He was testing them to see if their jealous nature still
remained.
:cloud9: Wow Sheila, that's good. Because that's exactly what happened to prevent God's plan from coming forth perfected thru the 5 fold pattern. Jealousy pretty much eliminated most of the 5 fold, with the pastor "office" coming out on top.
I tell you how He dealt with jealousy in me, though. He made it plain to me that the gifts were HIM in operation, and how could I, a mere mortal speck of dust, be jealous of HIM, as if there could be ANY comparison? It just didn't "compute", it was irrational to me, to even entertain the thought that in essence the jealousy was trying to compete with HIM.
That helped me in the beginning of my walk when it raised up in me, because someone I knew was manifesting more gifts before me, even though we were raised up together. Changing the way I thought ala the Lord, brought repentance and that brought deliverance. Isn't that always the way it works? It is for me. Blessings....

Benjamin--the son of the right hand.
"Benjamin"H1144
בּנימין
binyâmîynbin-yaw-mene'
From H1121 and H3225;
son of (the) right hand; Binjamin, youngest son of Jacob; also the tribe descended from him, and its territory: - Benjamin.
Exodus 15:6
Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.
:cloud9: Yep, Sheila....seeing Him manifesting in others now brings tears to my eyes, because I see not them, but HIM. He appears to those that are looking for Him! We look for HIS APPEARING in the new "heavens" (mind of Christ) in OTHERS, in the clouds with rain, ie. those have been ground to powder (clouds/dust same word) until their only purpose is to carry HIM (the rain) to pour out on the dry ground of others. His ways are glorious! Blessings....
Benjamin--
The second son of the beloved wife.
Genesis 35:18
And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin.
"Benoni"
H1126
בּן־אוני
ben-'ônîy
ben-o-nee'
From H1121 and H205; son of my sorrow; Ben Oni, the original name of Benjamin: - Ben-oni.
As the second son, Benjamin is a type of Christ. But his older brother, Joseph, is a type of Christ, also, which makes Benajamin a type of us--the younger brothers of Christ.

1. Father
2. Son
3. Spirit
4. Creation
5. Redemption
4 is the number of death in Japan IIRC.
4+1=5
Amen! Cardinal
Molly thanks for that scripture!!!
I also think of the famine in the land at that time...
and how there has been such a famine for hearing the
Word of the Lord on the earth....and how all
were fed by Joseph of His Father's household.
and there is bread in abundance..enough for all and plenty
left over.
Bread of life,Words of LIFE
BREAD FROM HEAVEN
Pharoahs people had to sell theirselves into slavery in Egypt
for bread[to sustain life]
NOT SO OF ISRAEL OF GOD
:cloud9: AMEN you two.....
Joseph will not accept them until they bring Benjamin to him.
14And he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.

Tis nothing about budging....tis about basic facts bro..tis quite simple really :icon_flower:
where on earth did ya get yours being truth from..cos if it was seen that way bro..it would have been left, which says to me it wasnt ...again IT was removed cause it was deemed bearing little fruit...or one could say just darn right offensive..in that what you accuse others of ....
MM..Im in Britain Bud ..sorta different TIME zone....Didnt even see it to read or analize it..twas been over seen by others at the time..or flicky fingers here would have, you know how quick I am on the draw...
It evades Nothing to the point of what we are discussing this very moment about your claim....of having posts removed .
How about we meet each other half way?....WE ALL GET on with Life and leave this whole issue alone like I suggested yesterday.. :icon_flower:
Shall we.??????.balls in your court bro, yet again ... :icon_flower:
what say you? :icon_flower:
I don't know exactly why 5 is the number of grace . . .but I do know that in applying that principle to things in Scripture pertaining to the number . . .it really speaks volumes to the unfolding message lying beneath. Four, for me, is not of death . . it is of natural manifestations . . .that derives from four corners . .for directions, four elements (earth, wind, fire, and water) Numerology has always fascinated me and bewildered me at the same time. If ya keep it simple, I can relate . .but it does tend to get pretty complex at times.
:cloud9: I witness with the 4's too; but in a sense carnality IS death, so you can see where they might have gotten that. Blessings....
Hi Nathan,
I don't know much about numerology.Maybe you can help me
with something?
One night..I was shown a number...but don't know what it
means
3 0 8 then the 8 turned into a 9 before my eyes.
Does that make any sense to you?
Sheila
Interesting you see it change from 8 (new beginnings) to 9 . . .there are nine gifts, nine characteristics of the fruit of the Spirit (not fruits) and it was the ninth hour when Jesus died on the cross . . .the gift of salvation completed.
Three is divine completion and resurrection . .thirty is the age of ministry . . .thirty pieces of silver paid for the completion of salvation to be manifested . . .
Nuts . .gotta go back to work . .sorry this isn't very complete.
A troll in time saves 9.

There are also translate things you can put on a web page that the visitor can choose what language they want to read it in. Can't remember the name of it but I used to have it on my web site.

Yes it does! I'm living proof of that! So there! :soccer:
What is Goliath doing in the picture?
It only took one stone to knock down the image of human pride.
David's victory over this lowbrow, anti-intellectual (unappreciative of higher thought) called Goliath, was by beheading him with his own sword, after he had presented himself for forty days before David which parallel's the forty day temptation of Christ who destroyed the inner Philistine by using his own sword – the Word of God!
And the devil said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread." (Luke 4:3)
And Jesus answered him, "It is written, 'Man shall not live on bread alone.'"
When the devil had finished every temptation, he left Him. And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit!

Joseph makes himself KNOWN[Christ revealed?]
Genesis 45;10 you shall live in the region of Goshen-
and be near me.......11 I will provide for you there because
5 years of famine are still to come. Otherwise you and your
household and all who belong to you will become destitute
v 22 To each of them he gave new clothing, but to Benjamin
he gave 300 shekels of silver and five sets of clothing.
v24 then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving
he said to them' DON'T QUARREL{EXASPERATE} EACH OTHER
ON THE WAY
Gal 5;15 if you keep on biting and devouring one
another, watch out, or you will be destroyed by each other
1 Peter 5;8 be self-controlled and alert, your enemy
the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone
to devour.RESIST HIM,standing firm in the faith,Because
YOU KNOW THAT YOUR BROTHERS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD
ARE GOING THROUGH THE SAME KIND OF SUFFERINGS
Rev 12;4 the dragon stood in front of the woman,
SO THAT IT MIGHT DEVOUR HER CHILD
THE MOMENT IT WAS BORN
:cloud9: The number 300 speaks of full redemption, 100 fold in each of the courts, silver speaks of redemption also, and if I'm not mistaken, I think 300 might be a measurement of the ark of Noah. I see the 5 sets of new garments as the "redemption" or fullness of the 5 fold measure of Christ, ie. instead of in part anointing, the fullness coming to the son of my right hand, which includes the redemption of the body (garments).
We know that Joseph is a type of Christ, but he brings forth Benjamin which I think represents the many membered son HE produces, ie. HIS seed, the harvest, the Son of God's right hand (right = Spirit, Christ is the right hand of God the Father), the many membered Son of Christ. That's why it's a lambkin that stands on Mt. Zion in the Greek, ie. an OFFSPRING of a Lamb. Blessings.....

well now, if this isn't God doing what He does best, what is? I was playing around on the site here and stumbled across this thread. i am really touched that even one noticed my absence. you all have helped me so much that i was off chiseling my views of God Himself. i am probably still pretty whacked out with some of my ideas but what i am seeing is quite satisfying. to me God is way too 'big' to confine to this physical life. i think this physical life is God's tool for showing us His favorite (Jacob I love, Esau I hate) world, the realm of the spirit.
enough preaching. thanks all and know that many of you have never been far from me in the way that really matters.
