I need to reconcile this with God. Which is fine by me I know God to be long-suffering and fair,   so I can expect the help I need. Jesus will investigate my heart.  According to my studies no one is lost to anything possible, this is how strong God's faith an mercy is.Why Father is Satan bound for 1000 years during kingdom time? The why is he loosed on the citizens of heaven, effectively deceiving many again?  I know you to to be a being of reason , this seems unreasonable time. Please forgive me Father if I step into areas that I should not. I know you do everything for a reason. Help us to understand you , If such is not against your will  . There's another war in the universe and it spills over into the kingdom. Many brethren are deceived for the first time, some for a second time. I pray for whoever is involved.

Is this an error in scripture? Please respond and help me see , or help me to mind my own business. I trust that if you do something, then it cannot be done in a better way.

Rev. 21:8, is still listing openings into the lake of fire and listing sinners will be a part of the lake of fire.Yet even still in verses 5- 8, God is giving salvation freely. And Chapter 22 is a salvation chapter.

should we interpret Revelation literally ?....its apocalyptical literature..maybe the 1000 yrs is symbolism ?

It may be symbolism , but can we explain the sysbolism?

Mickiel

Yes explaining apocalyptic scripture can be difficult, because it can be a window in to  something else that is totally inconsistent  with our point of view. Satan views our destruction as the ultimate destiny of all of humanity. On earth your imprisoned for anything less than life ,  or a life sentence, and anything in-between.including a death sentence. There are no biblical examples of this because it's a first in most areas. Holding a being like Satan is nothing but trouble. Then after years of Satan just hanging there, we revive him, set him free, and he gets right to work and deceives many again. I mean come on now, after having God's spirit for one thousand years, Kingdom citizens, have got to be formidable people not given to deception.. or they are weak and gullible an stomped on by Satan with no mercy. Because none is shown to him.  Remember Satan is bound by a chain in a tube with Bottomless flooring , and he is sealed that  way, the next 1000 year

In Revelation 20:7-15. Satan is loosed  and he goes straight to the four corners of the earth , he wants to kill . everything. Satan thinks he's setting up this group for death.again satan  is captured this time. According to how
You interpret things , he is caught again and this time  cast Into a great lake of fire.  And the scriptures say he is to remain there forever. Now the book of life is opened.

I dont believe hes there forever...for Jesus said 'forgive your enemies' that ye be like God...so, God must forgive even Satan, in my view....maybe God transforms him into something decent.

God is alpha and Omega, he can begin a life or end it. In my view he is going to Will Satan out of existence.

Mickiel

Does God have the ability to transform Satan into something good? Of course he does. I just see no biblical evidence to support that. He was created guilty. Created doomed. Created crazy and mad.

Mickiel

Quote, God could have changed Satan in Genesis after Eve was deceived he did not. He could have changed him after they confronted each other in the garden both alone, he didn't, he could have changed him in the book of Revelations, he did not. He could have changed him instead of throwing him into the lake of fire, he did not,

Mickiel

Remember the saying, " Bleeding heart liberals",  I my view the believers who want Satan to be forgiven and survive , again In my view are showing excessive sympathy for Satan's misfortune. They have learned love  and forgiveness to a point that they cannot draw a line anymore as to who it should be applied, so they applied it to mean all. This is one reason no humans will never judge Satan.  In Rev. 22: 16-19 , for I testify for every man that hears these propecy , and vs.19, if any "man" shall take away from the words of this book, God would blot him out of the book of life.  So notice these are for men, not demons. Salvation is being  freely offered in Rev.20:14-15. Humans can still receive salvation in as far as Rev.21:5-7, even here Satan and demons could have been saved but they were not. Either God or Christ never says anything that would even hint toward the salvation of Satan.God never speaks anything good about Satan.

Mickiel

In Rev. 21:3 the Tabernacle of God is with men. And he will be with them , they shall be his God, and we his people. If satan could be changed you could do it here.  But Gods concern is humanity.

Mickiel

I been searching scripture for the salvation of Satan and his cohorts , I am having trouble finding it. Perhaps some  of you could help me see it. I certainly would like to.

Mickiel

In Isaiah 54:16 I"have created the waster to destroy". Heres Satan is called the waster created to destroy. Satan is a stone cold killer, he is a waste of time..and I would not invest eternity in him at all. And I don't think God will either.

u might say their redemption is implied....Colossians says every creature shall be redeemed...every creature prob. includes them.

that's kind of what i was thinking darryl - "implied".  I don't take a strong stance on satan personally, i.e., if God would decide to completely destroy him that's His business.  still, i would question if that would "meet the definition" of "everything made new" and "all creation reconciled".

there is debate about the following, some claiming it means satan/demons etc., others (most) that it means only people.  still a 3rd group would say just because a knee bows/tongue confesses, or that a "creature" praises God, "doesn't mean they're saved - it will be too late".

However, here are 2 of those scrips;
And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: ?Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!    and,

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.
The oldest known manuscripts agree with each other 99% of the time.  The scriptures, accurately translated, Spirit revealed - reliable.   Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.  Heb. 12:2

In verse ,3 of Rev.5 , no "Man"in heaven or on earth, nor under the earth was able to open the book,. Satan or his demons are not even considered in these matters. Jesus stood up and took the task on his shoulders, sacrifice himself for humans not demons. Nowhere in scripture does it say Jesus died for demons. Satan is not our brother ,oohhh do not call for that.  He is a  wild animal  and wants to. Be lifted up in selfish worship. He is the chosen target for sin;. Sin nothing else.

Mickiel

In Revelation: 5:13-15 we really are looking at universal salvation from groups and  creatures, except demons. Demons are not part of the citizenship of heaven.

Mickiel

All of Satans leaders are caught or killed. The angels and the saints are winning the war. Rev. 19th chapter. Satan and his demons are captured with absolutely no chance of survival ,  and no offer of salvation.  They were created to die. It will require great strength for a being like God to kill all these demons.Whew, all this killing and death is defining . ALL this blood sweat and tears it makes me wish I could bust Satan on the head just once. just give me one good swing , it's good that we don't have to resort to such dire behavior.

Mickiel

God kills.by designed plans , never by emotion.  God Grows weary of the killing. In Isaiah 57:16

I am not a bleeding heart liberal for Satan's fate being reduced to death , I just recoil at the thought of eternal suffering for any being. A question then; which is worse, everlasting torment for satan or death? It's beyond me, I just can't see eternal suffering. It's a horrible thing.

"forevermore" is probably aionion or "age-during/age-lasting".   :2c:

I have never understood the aionion thing .Does it mean he may be eliminated at a later time? He is seized in Rev.20 and thrown into an abyss.  Chained and stripped of his powers.  Being chained suggest he must have incredible strength and use of his arms and hands. He is placed into an abyss and it is sealed And locked over him. Effectively keeping his powers to deceive useless. Why?
Why keep him there one thousand years then set him free? What spiritual benefits are in this?

jabcat

Yeah, questions beyond anywhere near my full comprehension.  But I do believe God uses the aions/ages in which to perform His specific purposes.  Such as the age of Law/Jewish people, the age after the cross when the gospel came and is displayed in us Gentiles, then the millinium, etc, etc..  He's doing things in all this I can barely imagine.  Some say it's a process of bringing in sons, then finally, bringing in all.  All some sort of learning, regenerating process.  Why He chooses these ways is unknown to me.
