This may be kind of blending two principles together here though . . .the parable of the 4 soils is about the different seasons of a person . . .different personalities and such . . .the one you just mentioned there WW is about the different seeds that are then planted.

And Sparrow, I wouldn't tell you to try to pull back . . but we are all in different places and you may feel free to unload the bombs on everyone, but unless the recipient is open to receive, those things you share may very well find their home in the mouths of the birds that come along and steal the seed intended for those you shared with.  Of course, this good news is "for" everyone.  But not everyone is in a place to receive it.

So rather than me spending my time sharing it with those already shut off to it, wouldn't it be much more profitable to first be a little more discerning about the level of acceptance first?  I think to call this line of thinking a bunch of gobbly gook is a bit harsh as well.

In fact, it sort of proves the point . . .your soil is not receptive to this principle and the result is rejection.  No condemnation here, just an observation.

I believe we are at a point in time when we should try to share the truth to all. I do believe it is God who gives us this desire and he opens the mind not us.

When Jesus was on earth it was a different time. He told the disciples that they couldn't bear the truth. The Law was in force at that time. Then Paul came on the scene, the preaching of the word got bolder. Paul said in (Col.1:28) warning EVERY MAN, and teaching EVERY MAN in all wisdom. that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

Also (Col. 3:16)   (Ro. 10:14)  How shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

(2Tim. 4:2) "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine".

(2 Tim.4:5) But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, DO THE WORK OF AN EVANGELIST, MAKE FULL PROOF OF THY MINISTRY.

Hey brother,

I think gobbledy gook was a very gentle way of putting it, actually... :laughing7:

My "soil" is not receptive to what you are saying, because I've been in that soil before...and I have personally come to the conclusion that it makes no sense to stand around and try to "discern" what others SHOULD hear or NOT hear. Who are WE to judge that? It's ridiculous and I'm not going to sugar-coat my thoughts about this. (I'm not being harsh here, I hope you understand that. It may seem that way...but really, I'm not.)

What you fail to recognize is that for all of your "spiritual infants" and your "immature folks".... this idea, this TRUTH that you speak about to them... is not a SEED! You are not throwing seeds around, brother. God has ALREADY given every single human being on this planet THE SEED. It is within. It's ALWAYS been within. You are really just someone standing around with a little watering can, or little rays of sunshine. You may not see that seed become nurturted (by GOD) and grow into a beautiful flower... but that's not for YOU to worry about or concern yourself with. Brother.... just go on out there and shine.... :dsunny: Let God's beautiful love just SHINE in you.... The seeds have already been planted. This world needs God's LOVE to shine through us.

That's it.

That's all.

God is the Master Gardener, here... not us.

Just let His love shine through you.
Show folks there is a DIFFERENT way.
Show folks LOVE is real.

Sometimes, you don't even have to say anything.

People remember stuff... when God brings you to truth, he helps you remember little things in your life, people in your life who have taught you something, but maybe it didn't ring true back then, but trust me... those memories have a way of working themselves back around to the present when God is leading you and teaching you.

Never withhold truth.
What is the truth?
GOD.IS.LOVE.

Just let His love shine :dsunny: through you.

Peace.

QuoteJust share your beliefs and stop worrying so much.

im not worried, i am however concered about making another stumble.

same principle taught here:

1Cr 8:9 But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak.

QuoteNo need to cram anything down anyone's throats.

:sigh:

Nathan

Ever count how many times Jesus instructed someone to tell no one?  Even on the mount of transfiguration . . . Peter, James and John weren't even allowed to tell the rest of the disciples what just happened . . .doesn't that sound a bit strange that something so profound and powerful was to remain between just them?

chuckt

thanks N for the reply.

i think there is  a time a place for everything, and we must yeild to the spirit.

i think we get ahead of ourselves sometimes.

be that as it may, i wont feel guilty or be told i am fearful because i dont always push UR.

God bless
euty

sheila

 I don't push it,but I speak it..to those who will hear it..

to some it falls on deaf ears. Some turn away and despise me

over it.Some rejoice with me over it.

You have to examine yourselves and your motives[if we can

even know what is in our heart} is it a sense of eliteism?

a shrinking back from possible rejection or persecution?

We all need to ask ourselves these things.

Get out of Babylon lest you receive part of her plagues..

what are these spiritual plagues? What about,as ye judge so

shall ye be judged? Should we let our brothers go on in

erronous blaspemy against God ,condemning the masses of

humanity to ET etc..and as unworthy of the mercy of God...and

in doing that very thing to come under judgement.Maybe we

are judging these 'messengers' as unworthy of the mercy of God

even the knowledge of the salvation that is their's and

mankinds..and that THIS SALVATION IS NOT OF THEMSELVES

BUT OF GOD'S HANDS.BY GRACE.Should we let them go on

thinking that their salvation is by their works?

A spirit of self-righteousness and lack of love for mankind in

them will cause them to refuse the message. When Father does

cause them to see where they are and have been in error they

can repent. Also, they will know Father testified to them of His

love and that they rejected it at that time, and you will serve

as a wittness to Father's love.

What I'm saying you guys is....

Just LOVE.

Let God's love shine through you anyway you can.

Truth is:
GOD IS LOVE.

Do you realize how much NON-LOVE there is in this world?

There is a DIFFERENT way.
The way of love.

Maybe this seems all too simplistic...
but I just don't think it needs to be so complicated.

Worrying about someone stumbling...
where's your faith? Come on now, guys...

If someone "stumbled" because you were exhibiting love, and showing them how much God loves us, and proclaiming His love for all...  Do you see what I'm saying? Do you see how crazy that sounds? Shining a light on darkness is never a bad thing. Darkness is ignorance. Ignorance of the fact that God loves us with an unbelievable amount of love. But no. We want to keep that light to ourselves for fear of someone stumbling... Even IF someone stumbled, you don't think God is going to help them back up and make them even stronger? Don't we all stumble?
"stumbling" is all part of it. "Oh I don't want someone to stumble...." We stumble. We fall. God helps us back up. It's all part of life. If a person is going to "stumble" over truth, they will just as easily "stumble" over lies. So what's better? To let them stumble over lies or stumble over truth? At least with truth, that little seed within has gotten some nourishment.

Life is way too short.

Peace y'all... not much more I can say I guess.
These are my views, take what ya want and leave the rest.

"Now" we're getting somewhere . . .I think this attitude is the very reason why Jesus did tell many not to tell others . . .there are things that you can sound out to everyone and all will benefit from it.  And there are things that require more than ears to hear and eyes to see . . .it's always . .for me . . .been about reproduction.  I want to see not just UR, but all of God's will reproduced in me and in others through me.  And the key to the reproduction isn't a message to the masses as much as it is relationships with one another . . .and that's where me loving them comes in.

"In" my relationship of love with another is where UR and other kingdom truths can birth from.  It's a deeper experience that flourishes through relationships . . religion is preached in mass, but only Truth can manifest through relationship.  So Sparrow, I am in agreement with you . . .love is the bottom line . .without it . .there is no relationship and there is no Truth to be birthed.

me too:

Love is patient, is kind. Love is not jealous. Love is not bragging, is not puffed up,
5 is not indecent, is not self-seeking, is not incensed, is not taking account of evil,
6 is not rejoicing in injustice, yet is rejoicing together with the truth,
7 is forgoing all, is believing all, is expecting all, is enduring all.
8 Love is never lapsing: yet, whether prophecies, they will be discarded, or languages, they will cease, or knowledge, it will be discarded.
9 For out of an instalment are we knowing, and out of an instalment are we prophesying.
