I would tell his family not to worry, they will be reunited someday. Whatever darkness he was in (as we are all in varying degrees of darkness, I believe.) that is over now. He is now where all of our souls long to be.
Back home.
and one day we will all be...
back home.
All is well.
Though separation can be excruciating.
Peace comes when you realize God never let your loved one leave you.
They are in your heart.
And one day, God shall wipe away all tears.

and our sorrow shall be turned into laughter.
Imagine that.
Our SORROW.
shall be turned into LAUGHTER.
LAUGHTER!!!!!!
Not just "our sorrow will be turned into joy" but turned into "LAUGHTER!"

That is an amazing picture.

peace,
sparrow

Not debating that one way or another, just wanted to make sure that is what you would say to a dead mans family and friends.   Please stay away from mine when I die.

EXACTLY and the answer to where we go when we die:

7Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace. (Philippians 1:7)

Beloved Servant

John 19

25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
26 When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold your son!"
27 Then He said to the disciple, "Behold your mother!" And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.

I would tell them that I liked his acting and understand that I did not know the person at all.   I would say that no matter what David was into, what he believed, what manner of circumstance caused this, God takes care of his creation for the good and for his glory.

In my opinion, or at least in my walk, to dwell in the spirit means that we can empathize and hope for the contentment and peace of those who we have never met or will never know personally on this earth.  I was a long time getting to that point.   What opportunity we have when we hear of someone we do not know, perhaps do not like, perhaps see they engaged in things we despise, only to rest in the spirit of prayer for their well being and that of their loved ones.

It's not easy, not easy at all.

Beloved Servant

Hmmm, what did Jesus say?
Let the dead bury the dead.
Am I the only one that has this in their Bible?

No, just everybody else understands the context about proclaiming the Kingdom rather than as a paddle to whip Christians that don't come up to your level of shunning others, allegedly for Christ's sake.  It's a "we walk by faith and not by sight" Scripture rather than a disregarding the needs, even emotional, of humanity, but applying the areas of the Gospel to all of the areas that it meets.  It meets all of the needs of a man in their spirit, soul, body, finances, and social life.  There is no such thing as a need that a human being would ever have that there isn't a promise of God's Written Word to give them victory and supply over.  And what you're rattling off meets absolutely nobody's needs except for your own to be abusive in the times of the loss of others.

There is no anointing in what you've said, the way you've continuously said it, therefore no burdens would be removed by it and no yokes destroyed so that people, animals, spirits, and nature could go free.  What's important is the setting free of absolutely all of Creation by His Blood Sworn Oath rather than seeing another brand of Pharisaical whatever.  Walking by faith and not by sight isn't trampling on the needs and feelings of others to try to make yourself look spiritual.  If that's not one of Jesus' "and again I say unto thee," then evidently He didn't place the importance on the statement that you have, particularly since it's repeated by none of the Apostles later in the New Testament from the book of Acts onwards.  The Gospel is Acts 10:38: how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, Who went about doing good and healing ALL that were oppressed of the devil for God was with Him.

That's the entire Gospel right there, and because of the foundation He laid, now by the Blood of Jesus we're Christ, according to St. Peter, St. Paul, and St. John.  Are you a false one among us?  Our first anointing in Isaiah 61, as the trees of righteousness, is the healing of the broken hearted.  That's what we're supposed to be stirring up of the gift of God within us, according to 2Timothy 1, as we're being filled more and more with the Holy Spirit according to Ephesians 5.  The disciples in Acts DID NOT NEGLECT ministering to tables.  No lack among them meant from the heart rather than economic at that time, although Church History (i.e. tradition) does indicate Barnabas to have been the Bob Tilton of the day, so...might of even been the hundredfold multiplying among them rapidly and the explanation for the strife that they got into as Satan was endeavoring to steal the Word that was sown in them as it says in Mark 4 that he'd try to make a play for.  BUT FIRST AND FOREMOST, NO MATTER OF THE HEART WAS LEFT UNADDRESSED AMONG THEM!!

Quote from: Beloved Servant on June 05, 2009, 08:26:28 AMWho is Bob Tilton?
He's actually the minister through whom I received the baptism with the Holy Spirit with the operation of Jesus' High Priestly ministry of speaking in other tongues and the ability to interpret.  He's a faithful minister of Christ that bares a very difficult cross to bare with the particular aspect of the oracles of God that he's been entrusted with, that the moment you go there in a sermon with a Biblical perspective, half to two-thirds of the Body of Christ is ready to attach motives to you of fleecing the flock of God that aren't there.  Used to be on nation-wide television, but is only on some television channels these days, as far as I know.  Used to be based out of Dallas, but the last I heard was somewhere in Florida.  Took a lot of heat from the media in the late 80s and come to find out that the ABC reporters involved had been promised by their networks that they'd receive 6 figure bonuses for each of the prosperity preachers they took down on the network.  So, [needless to say with carrots like that dangling in front of them with 6 figure promises for each one head they successfully hunted,] a lot of stuff got engineered to make quite a few men of God at the time look amazingly horrible to the nation.

The Gospel has so many aspects to it, [and fulfills so many needs of Creation and of the human condition,] that there are very few in the history of the Church past and future that'll ever genuinely be called upon by the Lord to skillfully teach all aspects of it.  God's normal approach is to develop specialists in the Body of Christ with aspects of Truth that they're on their knees about and in their Bibles and Concordances about every moment that they're not out preaching and teaching it.  And it's not good to stray beyond one's particular calling and to start sharing a lot of stuff that though perhaps true doesn't fit like a glove with the anointing on your life that you're ultimately accountable for (and to), and therefore wouldn't bring the results in delivering the lives you'd approach with that.

Beloved Servant, You said......
Did you know him personally?
If not, than your sadness is displaced.
If you cry for his humanity, then cry for all that die.
His soul has merely left his earth. The spiritual, not the temporal, is now before him and all he has to wear.
Why mourn for what you have been taught?

It is completly normal to be "sad " when someone passes.... This is normal...More so when said person has touched the life of the person experiencing sadness. Perhaps one could be sad to realize that he had been living in some form of depression for some time....Perhaps one can be sad because he is no longer with us......For me we have been called to love our neighbor, and by the parable of the good samaritan shown that all are our neighbors...so we have been called to love our fellow man.

I despise the spirit of hollywood and all it entails, be it people, places or things.
The consumption, advertising, fashion, marketing, competition, the list goes on; but worst of all is its imitation of the Spirit.
Hollywood is deception at its finest. Most of the most successful products of "that place" have spiritual truths in them.
Reason being: That God's word has Life and Breath, no matter whom is expressing it.

MY first impression of hell was from bugs bunny cartoons, then reinforced thru movies as a kid, and reinforced in catholic sunday school, then as a young adult seeking God how could i NOT see that same hell in the pages of scripture.

Now, there is a point to be made with regards to believers having been redeemed from grief and sorrow per Isaiah 53 and various other passages.  And that we're supposed to resist grief and sorrow and release the joy/salvation of the Lord by faith in the Written Word and by our quality decision to walk it out -- regardless of what we're feeling.  But that was entirely beyond the scope of this thread that was along the lines of what would you say to Carradine's family, friends, fans, etc., about such an amazing man and talent that left this world with a hole in it by his death.  That topic would be more appropriate for a thread on dealing with grief/sorrow/depression among believers.  Medication can help with that, but that's merely a coping mechanism and isn't the healing that God offers through the finished work of Christ.  Obviously, if in the proper dose it kept you from doing what Carradine seems to have done, then by all means get the help so that you'll be clear headed enough to begin to learn how to cast off that yoke with the promises of God and the anointing on your life.

Jesus said a lot of things that all work together.   Jesus was emphasizing the importance of not allowing death to be a hindrance to the kingdom, not to be calloused to a persons loved ones.

We say we are sinners but when someone really sins we judge like we are not in the same boat.

David Carradine did not shock God. The depths of whatever darkness he was enveloped in is not even a challenge to God but it is something that God and His creation (David) need to deal with as it will be with us all.

I repent for even replying to this thread.

Martin, you seem to be following this a bit. Can you update me on what the whole picture is here? I have no TV and I see no newspapers so I usually just get a trickled down version of things.

I hear David Carradine was maybe involved in some werid sexual things like getting tied up in a closet by the neck and penis? Is this true? If so, could you maybe even explain a bit about how this kind of sexual activity is at all gratifying?

We are bizaar creations to say the least. How God could come up with creatures who even have the ability to think up such things is amazing to me. Not only people, but God has quite the imagination to think up people who can think up these weird things!

I really liked this guy and I know God will sort all this out but just wondering what you are hearing.

Well, if I tried to explain it, there's always the chance of folks thinking I'd be into that kinda thing, if I explained it a little too well, and probably at least one person that would be all "COME OUT OF HIM IN THE NAME OF JESUS!!" thinking that had to be a wrong spirit that I was talking by that one and only time.  I'd like to avoid the hijacking of the thread into that area and try to keep it about what any of us would say to his family, friends, fans, (fans would obviously have included coworkers from all of his projects) etc., that are still mourning.  But basically, it does appear to have been a bizzar/questionable way in which he died.  But then again, all we've got are media reports aside from the Lord revealing anything in particular to any one of us, and the media sorta does what they want with the facts and truth.  Suicide has been ruled out by many from the very beginning, and though things go wrong when folks have got something unrealistically kinky going on, I have a feeling we're dealing with a murder here, whether it's a crime of passion or over money and resources or whatever.  Just a feeling that something may eventually wind up going to trial over this, if this doesn't slip into being another one of those "hollywood mysteries" like the death of quite a few others over the years.

Thanks Martin. Sounds like we need Columbo!

WW, thanks. I just explained it that way to my kids. I told them about the lack of oxygen thing but I didn't tell them about any possible sexual things and then I look and you confirmed what I said. Thanks.
