This was my answer before and it remains the same Joh 4:24 God is Spirit; and those who worship Him must bring Him true spiritual worship."
But will you answer the question you posed? Please
We were made in His image.
That's my answer.
You must be correct or half correct in the sense that man was lowered into the natural and became a living soul, but the life in Genesis before having a body was not considered a proper existence, not deemed as earthy or heavenly, because the man was made in Gods image, doesn't say in heaven, and neither was he created for the earth, until the time came when God needed a man to till the earthly ground and so created an earthly body for him. So The first man vessel was of the earth, but the second man was of the heavens, therefore in the resurection we will be given heavenly bodies, like our saviour.
So I think the scripture is refering to life in a body. The first body is earthy and the second body is heavenly.
I guess is difficult to understand what life must be like without a body, without a heavenly body or an earth one. I guess it just means that one cannot sense or have emotions such as crying, laughter feel pain or taste food etc . So I think in Genesis we existed like Saul as some kind of ghost.
:2c:
"You must be correct or half correct in the sense that man was lowered into the natural and became a living soul," Thinktank Where do you find witness of this?
Now give reason for Paul writing this.
1Co 15:44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body; there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body;
1Co 15:45 so also it hath been written, `The first man Adam became a living creature,' the last Adam is for a life-giving spirit,
1Co 15:46 but that which is spiritual is not first, but that which was natural, afterwards that which is spiritual. 1Co 15:47 The first man is out of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord out of heaven;
1Co 15:48 as is the earthy, such are also the earthy; and as is the heavenly, such are also the heavenly;
1Co 15:49 and, according as we did bear the image of the earthy, we shall bear also the image of the heavenly.

the first and the last. I am the root and the offspring of David, --Rev 22
1Co 15:44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body; there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body;
The seed sown is the Ghost man or spirit man whatever one likes to call it and is sown/breathed into a natural body. Eventually this natural body will turn into a spiritual heavenly body, like unto our saviour. Like a caterpillar that transforms into a beautifull butterfly.
After reading many scriptures it seems that most of humanity will remain caterpillars, but those in Christ will change into butterflies, suited to live in heaven. Perhaps over time Christ will change the rest of humanity into butterflies, but I'm not sure.
:cloud9: Here's the gist of it, IMO.......God breathes out (a spirit born into flesh), God breathes in (the spirit returns to the One who sent it). And because it is not good for man (spirit) to be alone, he is given a helpmeet (soul), who, after the forging in the fire comes into true union with the spirit, and the TWO now one, are raised = resurrection.
This pattern is shown in Christ and His body/helpmeet = He went to prepare a place for us, that where He is, we might be also. My :2c: Blessings....
18And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

From H5826; aid: - help.
H5826

A primitive root; to surround, that is, protect or aid: - help, succour.
"meet for him"

From H5046; a front, that is, part opposite; specifically a counterpart, or mate; usually (adverbially, especially with preposition) over against or before: - about, (over) against, X aloof, X far (off), X from, over, presence, X other side, sight, X to view.
H5046

A primitive root; properly to front, that is, stand boldly out opposite; by implication (causatively), to manifest; figuratively to announce (always by word of mouth to one present); specifically to expose, predict, explain, praise: - bewray, X certainly, certify, declare (-ing), denounce, expound, X fully, messenger, plainly, profess, rehearse, report, shew (forth), speak, X surely, tell, utter.
John 1:18
No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
35But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
36Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
37And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
38But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
39All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

That is the most logical reason why we are here now. That is why we are currently in the flesh.I see this as being like learning a trade. I remember making a lot of mistakes while learning my job. From those mistakes I now know a bit more about what is eseful, and what is more of a hindrance than a help. I also see what not to do.
I see our life in the flesh as a process of learning the difference between good and evil at such a personal level that we will get to know the right way to do things. The mistakes we make are paid for by Christ IN FULL. ergo- stage one.
Then stage two - In the resurrection we will become a spiritual being like our Father and like the resurrected Christ. Hence Christ is the firstborn of the coming age. We Too will be sons of God because of what Christ did.
The Jews did not like Christ when he said he was the son of GOD because they see that as blasphemy.
All this backs up what is said in Colossians where we are told our kingdom is not of this earth.
an help meet for him
a surrounding [flesh? soul?] which protects or aids his manifestation.
What is surrounded by the help? That which is sown? A seed. A chance of grain.
What is this seed?
Luke 8:11
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
Matthew 25:34
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

From G2598; a deposition, that is, founding; figuratively conception: - conceive, foundation.

kat-ab-al'-lo
From G2596 and G906; to throw down: - cast down, lay.

G2889
κόσμος
kosmos
kos'-mos
Probably from the base of G2865; orderly arrangement, that is, decoration; by implication the world (in a wide or narrow sense, including its inhabitants, literally or figuratively [morally]): - adorning, world.
The kingdom was prepared from the casting down of the cosmos. When did this happen? When was the orderly arrangement of God cast down?
23Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
--Gen 3
But there is a mystery here--something is hidden, which is known only to initiates. Where do you hide a thing? In a place where no one will look? In a place which looks like the opposite of what is being hidden? A treasure in a common field. A pearl in a rough looking hard shelled beast at the bottom of the sea. The casting down is also a conception.
35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

It doesn't mean thought that when we were spirits in Genesis, that we were in Christ, but I think we more similar to the angels but less powerful than them, our kingdom was upon the earth, while angels were in heavenly places, and angels did not have christ like we do today. I believe that because of the suffering we have gone through in the natural body, that we will be rewarded with Christ. We already have the holy spirit within us etc. There is no proof that we had the holy spirit, in Genesis preexistence. In fact the holy spirit is a reward because of what christ accomplished on the cross and his walk of victory over sin. So I don't see that believing we had a pre existence, nullifes the glory we will receive, because from what Ive gathered the preexistence was not half as glorious as that which is to come, because now we are in Christ.
:cloud9: But we were one with Him from the foundation of the world. One with, as in the Head and the body are one. The spirit returns to the One who sent it; you can't RETURN to a place you've never been before. My :2c: Blessings....
With him, companionship with him, just like archange michael has a relationship with him. But they don't have the highest ETERNAL THE MAJESTY of the Holy SPIRT living within them, within their temple.
I think Paul said it pleased him to take the weak and the foolish to be crowned with glory. We also shall judge angels.
We are now thanks to Christ on the same level perhaps even above the angels of God, for we are now one with Christ, adopted sons of God the bride of Christ.
Which of the angels are seated in Christ throne, Are they not ministering spirits sent to minsiter to them who are heirs of salvation
The mariage has yet to take place yet, so how can a bride marry twice? How can we marry Christ in the future, when the bride has madeherself ready, if we already were married form the foundation of the world?
:cloud9: That would be true if the marriage (joining of soul and spirit, female and male, body and Head) were a future one time event. But like salvation, we are saved, we're being saved, we shall be saved. The "last supper" was a Passover Seder, and He revealed the spiritual meaning behind all the "rehearsals" they had been doing for so long.
True communion is partaking of the bread/Word with the wine/Spirit, and He said to do this often in remembrance of, or to re-MEMBER His body (which is SPIRIT), which was broken (into fragments from the foundation of the world) for you (mankind). Like the shewbread, the Word in us is being kneaded, pierced and baked into one loaf, in preparation to feed the nations.
This was shown in the one loaf that rolled down the hill and slew all the Mideonites (wall of partition/middle) in the story of Gideon (name means feller of trees), as well as the 12 baskets of FRAGMENTS that were LIFTED UP, after He fed the multitude. Lifted up, caught up, "raptured"; it's all the same meaning, ie. raised up out of our carnal understanding and into the mind of Christ.
The things that the carnal mind and the carnal mind of others has planted in us, has grown into a "grove" around our true heart, which is Christ. He'll not permit us to worship Him in these groves, they block out the light of Christ destined to shine thru us.
This is being accomplished in us as we are given revelational wisdom, that spiritually speaking, translates us out of the kingdom of darkness (word means ignorance, the ignorance of our carnal mind's understanding) and into the kingdom of light (mind of Christ that illuminates the soul). We are changed/translated from glory (terrestrial/carnal mind) to glory (celestial/mind of Christ). Because we are still in these bodies of dust, we don't perceive the changes, but they are happening in the Spirit.
He betrothed us to Himself, and He is taking us to His Father's house, just like the Jewish men took their bride to their father's house, ie. the place prepared for us. My :2c: Blessings....

If "we are being saved", then there will be no consumation. Or at what point do you know that you are "no longer being saved".
Being saved, (future tense);
is, was and "will be" (future tense).
at some point, one would hopefully be "saved".
:cloud9: The word soterious, means salvation or deliverance, and it's an action verb, meaning an ongoing process, not a "complacent" noun. Matthew 13 parable of the wheat and the tares tells us what happens, as does Romans 8, just for two. Christ in us is the HOPE of glory, and Romans 8 says that the glory will be revealed IN US. The Word is personal, written to our souls to receive understanding, that we might come into full union with Him whom our soul loveth, and birth the Son. My :2c: Blessings....
