1 John 3:1 "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children (teknon => offspring) of God (Theos): therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not"

God the Almighty Spirit anointed and appointed His Christ to carry out the work of Creation, not simply the Earth, moon, and stars, the marvellous details, laws and minute beauties that man can see but also all that unseen Divine life that some men call angelic beings and their principalities and powers.

And we are His children.

He has shown us even in this life that growth and maturity are part of His Scheme. What is life if life is stagnant? Such a thought does not befit the flow of the Life-giving joy of the Holy Spirit - and for eternity? Divine Love must always be giving - Life is always living - that is in the nature of Divine Love. Love does not stop loving.

1 John 3:2 "Beloved, henceforth are we the children of God, and [the] manifestation [is] not yet manifested what we shall be (esomai - future tense): but we know that, when he shall manifest, we shall be resembling (homoios) him; for we shall see him as he is"

Yes, this means different things to different people but we shall not resemble decaying fleshly beings because what "we shall be" (ἔσομαι esomai) is something different and it had "not yet" been revealed (phaneroo) - so He shall not be fleshly either.

Someone may "mortify the deeds of the body through the Spirit" (Rom: 8:13) but the flesh will still return to dust regardless because it is flesh - and what the children of God "shall be" will be something "not yet manifested".

Similarly, the quickening "of mortal bodies by his Spirit" (Rom: 8:11) is referring to that same "mortification" of the flesh while still alive in a mortal body - it does not refer to  the children of God as they shall be because: "[the] manifestation [is] not yet manifested what we shall be..."

However, I personally believe (I know others do not) that this means that to us as spirits living through God's eternity (the eternity where there is no 'ending') the God who is Love shall manifest Himself to His children in ever and ever increasingly more loving 'manifestations' because the God who is Love joys and joys again in giving of out of Himself.

Romans 8:16-18

16 "The Spirit itself bears joint witness (summartureo) with our spirit, that we are the children (teknon => offspring) of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."

The children of God: Thinking of eternity and what God has in store for those who love Him. I believe that we should give to God His due and not limit Him to our human limitations - indeed I believe to think less of our Divine Parent is misrepresenting His Love.

"A few drops of blood renew the whole world, and become for all men that which rennet is for milk, uniting and drawing us into one". "Christ is like leaven for the entire mass, and having made that which was damned one with himself, frees the whole from damnation".

This is just Lovely Lastpost !!  :HeartThrob:

Something   that I have kept in my heart for many years now  as  confirmantion
is my sister  had a near death experience , she was seperated from her mortal body and was  looking  down at it   and bleeding to death Exsanguination  from a deep   glass cut in her upper arm ,  she went on to tell  me that     she was confused at first stating  ,

but this is me  ,   and that looks like me ! but its not me , I am here and she felt light and   free could feel the Love and peace  she said she has never known before  while on the earth  and draw of the Lords presence  so very   comforting knowing there is so much more to expect ,

well the neighbour man found her like that and called 911      and she recovered from   that
, But I never  forgot how excited I was to hear her  speak about that time in her life
she had always believed in God and Jesus Christ as a small child , but her life was far from   religious

For me, there  is a glorified flesh  , that Jesus  Is   that was and Is and will always be

the Christ in you the hope of glory    , butbecoming  a mortal   was a covering that He was   after death of the cross  revealing His true Identity

Jhn 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet [given]; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Jhn 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Strong's G1392 - doxazō
1) to think, suppose, be of opinion

2) to praise, extol, magnify, celebrate

3) to honour, do honour to, hold in honour

4) to make glorious, adorn with lustre, clothe with splendour

a) to impart glory to something, render it excellent
b) to make renowned, render illustrious

1) to cause the dignity and worth of some person or thing to become manifest and acknowledged

the offspring    of the Holy Father     are the sons of God revealed  ,   I believe the true Identity  very few know while being still in their  mortal flesh is hidden  even from them     :HeartThrob:
Jesus is the reward  !!
