I am getting married (hopefully)

Eduard

It was love at first sight, after a few days she said she wanted something durable with me, I had a feeling in my heart that I had to do something. I knelt and proposed to her and gave her my ring. She said yes and then she went to her family and told her the news.

Most likely we'll be married in a Catholic or Orthodox church, because these two creeds don't look kindly on Protestants here, unfortunately., and she is rather traditional. So help me God, I pray this is for real, that it's not just another deception from the father of lies but a true blessing from our Heavenly Father.

Let us rejoice in Christ! :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :girlheart: :girlheart: :girlheart:
Micah 7:7

But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

John 15:5

I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Hey Eduard.  :HeartThrob:  I hope you will ask Father and be sure this is from Him before you tie the proverbial knot.  :HeartThrob:  If this is from Him then a hearty congratulations to you!

Eduard

Maybe we're too young to understand what this really means but my love couldn't wait, I had to give it all. I'll always treat her right and love her like I love my own body as the Bible says, I only hope she is the kind of girl who shares my feeling truly and without deception.

Somehow I know this is from the Father, I prayed just two days ago plainly "Lord, loneliness is getting to me, I ask for your help, thy will be done"
Micah 7:7

But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

John 15:5

I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

lomarah

That is really adorable. Wish you the best!

Gotta love the passion.  But, if romantic love is real, it will be real tomorrow.  If its of God, it will be of God tomorrow.  Don't rush life long commitments because the hormones and infatuation are clouding judgment.  Take time to get to know one another...learning to love them at their worst.

Like most, my unsolicited advice will likely not be heeded...but I put it out there anyhow.

micah7:9

Hey Ed, I'm sorry..........Just kidding! I hope the Lord blesses your journey :HeartThrob:

Eduard

Thank you friends. Don't worry bro Shawn, I will heed your advice, I know that we must know each other well at first, otherwise how could we live and die together?
Micah 7:7

John 15:5

I agree, not everyone has those experiences.  But, getting to know one another is usually pretty sound advice.  Sorry, to be the downer.

Congratulations!  God Bless!

Quote6 But from the beginning of the creation, 'God made them male and female.

7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife,

8 and the two shall be one flesh.' So then they are no more two, but one flesh.

9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder
.
-Mark 10:6-9

I've been married for over 5 years and I tell you it's great.  A lot of men my age, (mid-20s) don't want to get married or think it would be a drag but I truly enjoy marriage and I pray that you will too.  If God blesses a union then you can tell by the fruits of the marriage.  The manner in which I met my wife, which is a story for another thread, tells me that it was the Hand of God working.  A lot of the marital discord and strife that is so commonplace in marriages these days doesn't happen in our marriage.  I don't say that to boast after all it's not us making it work it's the Lord and He is blessing our marriage.

Shawn I didn't find you a downer at all. I think you're like me in the sense that if you could spare a young brother and sister a load of heartache then you will try! There are some who marry their God given partner, like Rosie and Way, but there are many, many others who marry for all the wrong reasons. Or worse yet, marry someone whom God specifically told you NOT to marry. You want to talk about hell - do that.  :declare:

But like I said, if this is truly from God then congrats and God bless and have a wonderful marriage!  :HeartThrob:

You  are right Lo !!    trouble in this life / flesh     :HeartThrob:

Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is the keeping of the commandments of God.

1Cr 7:20 Each man must remain in that condition in which he was called.

1Cr 7:21 Were you called while a slave? Do not worry about it; but if you are able also to become free, rather do that.

1Cr 7:22 For he who was called in the Lord while a slave, is the Lord's freedman; likewise he who was called while free, is Christ's slave.

1Cr 7:23 You were bought with a price; do not become slaves of men

1Cr 7:24 Brethren, each one is to remain with God in that condition in which he was called.

1Cr 7:25 Now concerning virgins I have no command of the Lord, but I give an opinion as one who by the mercy of the Lord is trustworthy.

1Cr 7:26 I think then that this is good in view of the present distress, that it is good for a man to remain as he is.

1Cr 7:27 Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek to be released. Are you released from a wife? Do not seek a wife.

1Cr 7:28 But if you marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. Yet such will have trouble in this life, and I am trying to spare you.

1Cr 7:29 But this I say, brethren, the time has been shortened, so that from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none

Well, friends, I was denied. Her family of gypsies doesn't want to accept me, they probably want to marry her to another of their own . There shouldn't be any divisions like that, but they don't know the Lord, that's the real problem.

One day I will meet the woman with whom I will live and die in love and happiness... until then, praise the Lord (and after that too :HeartThrob: )
Micah 7:7

Eduard, I know it is painful and I'm sorry for that. Paul says to rejoice in all things and this is a time when it is hard to do. You will be able to look back on this one day and say, "Thank you Lord for saving me for this one" when he brings your future bride to you.
Billy Graham thought for sure he had been brought "the one" when he was in college. He even wrote her a letter expressing his wish to die without her. He was refused and Later he married Ruth who continued to be the love of his life for about 70 years until she died. :Peace2:
